When John Kapelos (Carl) was at Second City, he did a hilarious song from the Greek restaurant owner's point of view. The chorus was Goddammit Goddammit Goddammit.

Well I guess you had to be there.

My first impression from the title of this post was that the actor playing the janitor was Time Mag's Man of the Year in 1969... and then found himself playing a janitor in a movie years later. I need to catch up on sleep.

The unfortunate epitaph/epithet confusion (last paragraph, concerning locker graffiti) made me wonder about this person's education and journalism credentials. Turns out he's been an editor(!) of one sort or another since 1999.

What is the world coming to?

I hadn't noticed that the story was very contrived and pompous, and that the Judd Hirsch character was a totlal douche.
On seeing the movie again I was reminded. Not John's best work by a long shot.

Judd Hirsch was in The Breakfast Club?

Oh, that's right — the jock, the beauty queen, the freak, the nerd, the lowlife, and the neurotic Jew.
