I think Rush came this close "---" to being an Elton John instead of a Rush, so this makes a lot of sense - the chubbiness, the theatricality, the search for acceptance, the showmanship...just a matter of a few centimeters. Rush is kind of a drag queen is his own special way.

The blonde swimmer woman who married the 50-something Prince whatever (can't remember his name - the one who looks like an accountant) a few months back is STUNNINGLY beautiful and hot. This woman is attractive, but only truly hot in the context of Rush's age/looks.

I did not realize he had Rev. Ken co-officiate. That is cool.
What is interesting is that this was not a huge affair. Okay, for most people a 250 person wedding is on the large size, but it is not that uncommon. Elton John playing to 250 guests is a very small crowd.
Rev. Ken Hutcherson is very vocal about being against gay marriage. And is very much a social conservative. So I suppose his pick would be deemed a "message" from Rush.
But I suspect the primary reason is because Rev. Ken and Rush are friends and share a love of football (since Rev. Ken played for the Chargers and Cowboys).
If Ken H. loves football why did he play for the Cowboys and the Chargers?
Not all pastors would perform a fourth marriage after three divorces.
Kirstin, I delved into some church history during college. I think it was in the 40s that at a convention of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America, there was a move afoot to defrock a pastor who had officiated at the wedding of the previously-divorced Sonja Henie.
But times have changed, and it's anything goes now, at least for straight people.
But can she decorate?

How about Rush gives back one of his four non-procreative marriages so that my gay neighbors, who've been together for fifteen years and have adopted kids, can get hitched?

Of all the arguments in favor of same-sex marriage, I think the lamest is that marriages between men and women often end in divorce.
Pastors are starstruck like everyone else. One of the pastors from the church I used to attend officiated at Kevin Costner's last wedding. My impression was that the rules for actual church members who are getting married were waived for Kevin and his girlfriend.
I am not a big listener to Rush because I only listen to the sports station WFAN. But I don't see why you can't just wish him good luck and happiness even if this is his third marriage.
As Michael H said, why not be classy?
