This brings back to my mind the best monster series in black and white from the early 1950s: The Creature from the Red Bud Lagoon. But as I remember the plots, that Creature had a good heart although he was shy. Yet telling your spouse about that movie series may create a negative...I better stick to Dinner with Andre until she knows me better.

Good thinking, tg. I learned it was always best to preview your date flicks.
(I'll never forget when I took The Blonde to see "Se7en"...)
Monet-like. That's what I thought at 1st glimpse and I see other posters thought the same. Always love looking at Ann's photos. If she did nothing but a few photos every other day, no commentary - her site would still be worth a visit.

Agreed, C4!
Provided, of course, that none of her readers objected to Althouse filing entries "loosely".
Althouse has this wonderful way of mixing up her words...ie. Red bud, filed under PINK...no foilage? Or that swamp, she chooses to recall as WATER...no scum?
Personally? I LOVE it!
And it even seems to work for a man on a chessboard, c4. ;)
Drove east to west on the Ohio Turnpike today, heading into a wind so strong it stirred up huge clouds of red/brown topsoil in the open fields on either side of the road. A peculiarly awesome almost fearsome sight.
Came home to the joy of our good (old) dog who'd been faithfully parking himself out under the Japanese Maple for the last 4 days watching the road.
Finding The Red Bud Pond quietly reflecting and collecting (with who knows what happening under the surface) also felt good.

You make my mind wander, Meade.
Redbud is the nemesis of "The Mentalist".
Nice picture.
As the browser opened I thought "Monet". I see I wasn't the only one.
Are there juried photography exhibitions in Madison? Have you ever tried entering one?

And then it's time for the volunteers to pick over what's left for a really big discount!

Meade? You still with us?
Ha ha. Still alive. So far. Thanks for asking, Triangle Man. I just hope, when the time comes, little Suzie won't forget to put Redbuds on my grave.
Happy Mothers Day, Ann. As another mother of a 20 something, cheers!!

Happy Mother's Day, Professor.
I am much relieved that circumstances permit you to post a response Meade.
Oh his deathbed he whispered but a single word, "redbud".
