Yorkies are Tea Partiers too.

This is a real dog, not a stuffed one, despite appearances:

And here I am, down on the ground with a professional photographer, trying to grab the dog shot:

But who's taking a picture of me? Oh, it's you!

Stalked by my own husband, who took many pictures of me before I noticed he'd found me in the crowd.

Yorkie: *swoon.*

Shout out to edutcher.

Woof!

Jan Koenig ayon kay ...

I kind of hope that's not a real dog. It looks like it has an antenna extending from it's rear end.

Joan ayon kay ...

Adorable, all of you.

Very excited to go with my family to the Phoenix Tea Party this evening!

Titus ayon kay ...

love your dress, fab.

Deana ayon kay ...

So gorgeous!!

And really, who WOULD want to tread on something so precious?

policraticus ayon kay ...

To my cat that dog looked... delicious.

Ann Althouse ayon kay ...

"And really, who WOULD want to tread on something so precious?'

You mean Meade? (As in "Don't Tread on Meade.")

Hindi-nagpakilala ayon kay ...

I want that dog! But what do you say about the decision in the National Day of Prayer case?

Pete ayon kay ...

As a photographer might say, and maybe some other folk may, Meade's got a great eye.

MadisonMan ayon kay ...

Is the pro taking the picture the one who took your engagement picture for the New York Times? I can't tell from the angle of the picture.

Hindi-nagpakilala ayon kay ...

No, I want that dog! He is too adorable.

Great pics. I couldn't go to our tea party--too much work/traffic, too little time. So thanks to all who made the trek.

Woof, woof.

vw: culte

James ayon kay ...

Is he really a "professional photographer" or just a guy in a photo vest with a DSLR?

I don't know too many pros who would put a Stofen Omni-bounce on a flash outdoors since there are no nearby surfaces from which to bounce the flash.

Ann, that picture just got The Blonde's unconditional and unwavering approval of you. Looks for all the world like Mrs. Hudson.

PS Woof right back, Irene

"Looks for all the world like Mrs. Hudson."

What? Sherlock Holme's housekeeper? How is that cool.

Trooper York ayon kay ...

Plus Meade was only interested in photographing men in shorts!

Just sayn'

And to think that some claim that the tea parties lack diversity!

OT to anyone but Irene,

We submitted an application to adopt a Labradoodle who is being fostered by a Labrador rescue in Cincinnati. Please ask your poodle to cross her paws for us. We are really ready to have a dog again. And we have had bad luck so far: every dog we have been interested in at a pound or rescue has already been spoken for. So we need all the help we can get.

Moose ayon kay ...

Well, except that professional photographers don't wear drapery...

Irene ayon kay ...

@knox: A good thread always can wander into pup talk.

All paws crossed here for, human and canine.

Labradoodles are wonderful; there are several in our neighborhood. Their smarts and loyalty are exquisite. I often see a twelve-week old pup walking late in the afternoon. The way he connects with is owner is remarkable.

BTW, speaking from experience, one dog is plenty. Until recently, we had three. There is a wise old saying: "If you have one dog, you have a dog. If you have two dogs, you have half a dog. If you have three dogs, you don't have a dog."

Good advice for polygamists, too.

Irene ayon kay ...

Please excuse the typos. I got excited by doggie talk. Pant, pant.

Landlady, please. Her father is Sherlock.

You and The Blonde both.

Calypso Facto ayon kay ...

Does that make the Yorkie a "doggie bag"? ;)

Hazy Dave ayon kay ...

The Milwaukee paper got a picture of him, too. His name, evidently, is Fido.

Irene ayon kay ...

@Hazy Dave: "Fido," or "Fidelius" also was the name of Abraham Lincoln's dog.
