Nothing Could Be Finer Than a Crisis That Is Minor in the Morning
--title of a book by Charles Osgood
Jackie Wilson said it was reet-petite.
The Hues Corporation and the song were so cheesy and so bad, I was sure they were white; I told myself black people had more integrity than that.
As it was my first encounter with Disco, I never wanted another.

@edutcher: African Americans have contributed so mightily to the culture that I think everyone expects everything they do in the realm of entertainment to be powerful and on point.
Hey. Africn Americans contributed The Hues Corporation. Caucasian Europeans contributed Abba. It's still a big tasty potluck dinner. Can't we all just get along? :)
scott, why are you bowing to edutcher's self-proclaimed role as the arbiter on quality music and its so-called relationship to race and integrity and sin ?
fine. i'll say it: edutcher what in heavens are you thinking ? people are people. and sin and degradation ... um ... huh ?
