What does Peter Hoh have to do with impatiens? LOL
Can't stand Muir Glen brand -- at least the stuff I've tried, it's all been icky. I'll stick with Trader Joe's house brand and continue to be thankful I've got 'em.
And what kind of bulb is that/did that used to be, to the left of the tray?
The sink is under the broiler pan which is under the peat pot trays which are under the faucet. The seeds/seedlings are "bottom watered" by keeping the broiler pan filled with water from the faucet. The main faucet and sinks are around the corner out of view.
Thanks, Meade. Nice tip about how to water seeds and seedlings. That must really help with the washout problem which seems to happen even if I try to be very gentle.

Not brownies, that's a dirt cake.
[T]hat's a dirt cake.

I think I had some of that in 1969 in Newport.

I thought it was a giant platter of caviar. Why not, with that fridgescape?
Mead, I'm curious what you are doing there.
Are you just using the broiler to keep the dirt from getting all over, or are you 'proofing' seeds in the oven or something like that?
Sorry, should read, "Are you just using the broiler pan ..."
Waldo and his iPhone seem to be hiding.
Lots of ripe bananas...Making banana bread? Blender drinks?
If those are candles, Happy Birthday, Meade.
And may your sweetie plant a big, wet one on you.
I'm confused about the faucet setup with seemingly no sink for water to spill in to. Enlightenment, please.
Look at Meade's comment on the fridge post about the crisper.
Meadehouse is hosting a weed-growing operation. The Kind bud is the crisper.
American beers not good enough for you?
That's planning ahead. No wallowing in the past for Meade.
Trees from seed? Hardcore.
I bought a redbud last year. Still waiting to see if the uppermost branches, including the leader, are alive.
Joan, here's the seed source.
9 trays of seeds => 4 echinacea plants
Personal best.
I hate seeds. Mom can spit out a peach pit and have a tree the next year. Sometimes I get her to lay her hands on bulbs before I cover them with dirt.
You so don't have children.
Although we have the obligatory lower school cabbage growing next to our sink.
Otherwise...

I'm with Michaele on the faucet.
