Justice Breyer predicts a flood of Supreme Court cases about the new health care law.

"'You have passed a 2,400-page bill,' Breyer told the committee members, and he guessed that in such a lengthy bill, 'there are a lot of words in it.' As a result, he said, 'in two or three of four years,' nobody will be asking justices about the shortage of cases, because litigation stemming from the bill will be filling the Court's docket."

Unless, of course, it gets repealed.

What was his first clue?

Of course, this is one of the justices (the other naps a lot) appointed by Willie.

Oh, ok. By then they'll have passed more expansive (if less wordy) bills. This one will probably just turn out to be the first political punch to prove the Democrats don't have to do everything that a quarter of the country demands they do.

Just my two cents. (So don't go rabid or anything ;-) I've certainly heard my fair share of everyone else's "fighting words").

Breyer is the justice you can't remember.

I don't think Breyer is much of a Justice but his ice cream is pretty good.

I like the race issue. What diversity does Congress and the Senate have for their aids? How are they chosen? Does the legislature have an aggressive minority recruiting plan? Or, are they exempt from all that? What hypocrisy!

He will have to recuse himself if he has any honor because he seems to have assumed the law's constitutionality without granting due process.

Plus he knows about cert, denied, right?

The ice cream is better than the judge.

Breyer sayeth of why the docket has shrunken: "It's an oft-asked question without a clear answer, Thomas indicated, but Breyer, the former law professor, jumped in, laughing that "I don't need any evidence. I like theories."

Pretty close to "I don't need any law. I like my personal opinion."

Hahaha. Judicial humor.

Ritmo is "out and proud" socialist who doesn't care that he's steamrolling over taxpayers.

Obamacare could be subtitled "The Lawyers Full Employment Act."
