"... but they don't understand they have to keep the hands off."
Says Matthew Blit, the NY lawyer who's been successful with sexual harassment lawsuits brought by the dancers who work in those places that are called "gentlemen's clubs."

They're around beautiful naked women all night
Make that around beautiful naked shaved women all night :(

In the old days, guys with any interest in women, or at least the ability to do something about it, were kept away from where the women walked around naked on pain of death. Of course, the proprietor had the power of life and death, anyway.
Maybe Titus has found his true calling.
I doubt it's control. It's anti-erotic.
Probably more a bad assumption.
The confusing thing for these guys may be that the customers legally get to touch the women more than the bosses do.
How very strange to find that woman who are completely naked, dancing sexually, taking money for lapdances, plying drinks wearing tiny clothes or none at all, and almost-touching men find themselves being groped and asked for sexual acts.
Just bizarre.
I'll bet that Matthew Blit, the lawyer who's been filing these sexual harassment lawsuits, has his hands full.
Hey! All of us guys (well, nearly all of us, right Titus?) have dreams of being the master of a harem. Of course "the guys who run these places can't control themselves" -- the dream is almost within reach ...
Couldn't resist. ;-)
How very strange to find that -
Actualy, the girls are protected from the clients, even when they don't want to be...
Its a different thing entirely when the boss or his staff do it. Because they're the ones who enforce the "don't touch" rules.
Somebody made a study relating degree of sexual dimorphism in primates to number of females per alpha male. According to that analysis the amount by which the average human male is taller and heavier than the average human female indicates that we human males should, on average, have 1.2 mates.
Tiger Woods balances the scales for a lot of us who've never cheated on our wives.
OT:
UW Medical School students have some stripper troubles.
Are these women "employees" in the legal sens of the word?
I seem to recall that in many clubs, they actually pay the club for the right to perform onstage and off.
They would not seem to be "independent contractors" either since the club is not paying them.
It would seem like they are closer to renters in that they are renting the right to use the club.
So I am wondering how employment law would apply at all?
If I own an apartment or an office building and sexually harass a tenant, it is wrong and probably illegal but not under employment law.

It varies by club and by region. In clubs that use the system you describe, the women are independent contractors -- not employed by the club, but by the patrons. They are essentially paying for access to the club's infrastructure, clientele and security.
In other clubs, the women are considered club employees.
Ha ha ha. I find this amusing. It's all about the power and I'm glad they're getting some of the real stuff - it's like sports stars becoming free agents or gaining some rights against team owners.
