Major downer in NapTown. But the Braves did a number to the Cubs, including a 450' HR by their new phenom from Atlanta hit on his third major league pitch. So their is hope for a winning season in the Home of the Braves.
Since Althouse has gone on about how all of the allegations of hate speech being hurled at blacks and gays at the Tea PArty protest in Washington were entirely fabricated, shouldn't Althouse go on record about whether or not she is accusing Barney Frank of being a bald-faced liar? Why will the professor not address the Barney Frank incident? It appears she is encouraging people to brush that incident under the rug because she knows that it occurred. Shameful, when the blogger has gone on at length claiming that there is no credibility behind any of the alleged hate speech incidents.
But I will not go on a tirade as I am so happy listening to my new Beatles Mono Box set! If you really know the Beatles, you need the set. It has stuff you have not heard before or often.
Some of the songs are very similar, some of them are quite a bit different from their stereo counterparts. But the wife was in the kitchen as I was first checking out the tracks. She kept coming in to listen and comment, always a good musical sign.
So get the Mono box set. Then get the 24 bit USB stereo set. I know I will.
LoafingOaf makes a good point which, not coincidentally, is one I've also made.
One of the problems with the TP leaders is that they just aren't that bright: they should have seen this coming. If they were bright, they wouldn't have put themselves into the position of having to prove that something never happened. About the only thing the TP leaders are competent at is cashing checks.
The trailer is fantastic (and only the language is NSFW, no nudity), judging fromt he trailer, the makers of this parody would seem to have real passion and affection towards the original work.
I doubt the actual product is as appealing as the trailer, but the trailer is top notch (and would be easier to appreciate if itself were a parody and weren't attached to an actual bit of product).
Why will the professor not address the Barney Frank incident?
Because nobody cares if Barney Frank was insulted. The fact that a bunch of Democratic Congressmen slandered innocent protesters with fake accusations of racism is approximately a trillion times more significant than a homophobic remark hurled at Barney Frank.
The people whose asses you have your tongue lodged in are race-baiting liars, Oaf, and all you can think to do is change the subject. Even if every single person who ever THOUGHT about attending a tea party was a homophobe, the Democrats you're toadying up to would still be worse. Because elected officials aren't supposed to slander the public for the sake of political power.
Oh, and one more thing:

See, this is an important clue that you have your head up your ass. You're echoing Lonewacko's talking points. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
I lied about the last comment being my last comment tonight. This disturbing news has just come to my attention, and it's too important to leave until tomorrow.
Settle down everyone. The teaparty types will move on to their respective Bedlams and life will revert to normal, the forsythia will bloom again next year and Ann will still occasionally "mail one in". We will continue to sink to new depths in decorum, grow ruder and more tolerant of boorish behavior generally, our "free speech" will foam a bit more and the nitwits on Faux will continue to talk in tongues.

You miss the point. Slobbering Barney hasn't got any more substantiation for his charge than any of the charges of racist language. Besides, the crocodile tears the National Socialists shed for homosexuals are just that. They started worrying about them when they learned urban homosexuals bloc-vote and could be pandered to. If they were, they'd be all over The Zero over DADT.

When people like these start agreeing, the gene pool is in real trouble.
I had a very vivid dream last night that I was a teaching assistant for Althouse in one of her law classes -- and that she and Meade had somehow acquired twins, and so my responsibilities were kind of evenly split, teaching assistant/nanny.
And as most dreams do, it shortly became even more nonsensical than that. But I've honestly never dreamed about a blogging personality before, so I had to share.
Congratulations, Althouse, you've completely infiltrated my subconscious.
Frank and the others had two camera phones with them, you can see aides hold the phones up in the tea party videos.
They did this trolling for slurs and an incident that they could use to discredit the tea party movement. They got nothing, so they regressed to form and simply lied.
Can you imagine the punishment God has for lying elected officials?
I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and never entirely understood the big deal about spring. But when I lived in Northern Virginia for a few years, I understood. The forsythias were among the more striking spring flowers, along with rhododendrons and azaleas. I don't miss the ice, but I do miss the spring blossoms.

I don't really think Althouse's buddy Glenn Reynolds would support a torturing dictator just as long as he was fiscally austere, but...

Interpreting. (Reinterpretion.)
What kind of Nightclub is this? If it's topless, then let's discuss those ladies up in Portland, Maine, who staged their little topless march this weekend.
Seems the organizer was upset that they got stared at by men in a manner they didn't appreciate.
I have thoughts on this, since, you know, BOOBIES!
Despite the shadow, and because of it.
Since this is a Nightclub, I feel it's alright to work a little blue.
Here's a link to the Funny or Die hosted trailer for the Big Lebowski XXX Parody.

XWL: Love you, as from the beginning I always have for all of this time, the fractal nature of the blogosphere notwithstanding.
I suspect you are among the very few who can appreciate why I might link such as this: A reprise, with great affection.
[wv: spere.]
Thanks for the words, RIA, appreciated, deeply, along with the link to Stritch being Stritch doing Sondheim.
And apropos of nothing:
Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber
(and here's a link to today's LOL Obama, inspired by the above site)
You know what nightclubs used to have that they don't have so much anymore.
Animal acts.
(not those kind of animal acts, get your mind out of the gutter)
In that spirit, I present to you:
Back Scratch Kitteh
Guess I'm the only one here, one more before I call it a night.
I'd comment that in this video of President Obama tossing out the first pitch at the National's opener, our leader throws like a little girl.
But, that'd be unfair to little girls...
Good lord, XWL, too perfect, you irreverent SOB.
; )
I lied about the last comment being my last comment tonight. This disturbing news has just come to my attention, and it's too important to leave until tomorrow.
The folks at Mattel are out of their damn minds.
Reported by The Telegraph, Scrabble's rules to allow proper nouns!
Outrageous!
(this could lead to serious squabbles, and possible gunplay)
For the record at large, my choice of the word "fractal" in an earlier comment was very much deliberate, and make no mistake (because I didn't).

Forsythia abandoned house and dog Monday.
"Forsythia abandoned house and dog "
Shame on her!
Sorry.
Re: Oaf
Perhaps poor Barney will get a little more sympathy when he stops using his pulpit to spew homosexual "hate speech" like "teabagger" himself.
