I'm going to slip into full on Andy mode for a second here:
Once again, Prof Althouse reveals her racism and that of the entirety of the neocon movement with her obvious attempt to remind people of color to 'watch their step'(the gentleman of color sitting across the aisle is obviously a stand-in for President Obama).

Notice how she framed the Obama stand-in (er, sit-in?): he's buffeted on both the the right and left by stern warnings: "Watch Your Step". I think Althouse is subliminally trying to tell us that she thinks Obama is a centrist.
Notice the none-too-subtle attempt to appropriate for herself the unique perspective of the Other, by taking the picture from the back of the bus in this Confederate city. If Mortimer were awake...
Get on the bus?! Nah... FUCK THE BUS! I'll walk, thank you very much, mostly because I don't want to worry about the socio-econo-politico aspects of where I am stepping...
You 've got to stop getting cross-linked to some of the places your blog has been going. The thread on the photo is really bringing down the level of the discourse around here. But it is revealing about the coarseness of some of the people you upset--to say nothing oftheir lack of wit.
You should come around more often to bring the level of discourse up, and make it more granular. We need effite snobs who can teach us all how to talk in cliches.
State Sen. Anthony D. Galluccio was led away in handcuffs today, sentenced to one year in jail for violating the terms of his home confinement.
A judge sent the Cambridge Democrat off to jail after a full day of testimony over the senator’s failed Breathalyzer test Dec. 21.
Galluccio has blamed the bad test results on his toothpaste and had an expert witness testify today on other testing done after he flunked the home blood-alcohol exam.
But, Cambridge District Court Judge Matthew Nestor said he did not believe the senator’s story or any expert testimony.
“I’m satisfied that, in fact, the defendant ingested alcohol,” said Nestor from the bench. “He didn’t last a week. The suspended sentence is revoked.”
Galluccio must now serve out his term in the Cambridge House of Correction.

Seating looks rather high-up; there must be plenty of room under the bus.

Who would've thunk it: Are buses that small in Texas?

Notice how 'ominously' the straps seem to hang over the heads of the colored people only.

Wait, Ann's a neocon now? Feh. She's not even Jewish!
My New Year's diet is starting out horribly. Blew my targets to smithereens again. :(

Hey Ann--

I have two things to show here.
1) Bossy bus
2) Chicken thighs with orange and Dijon.
That is all.
Hey lucid,

Here's a humorous follow up on Althouse's Dec 19th post about Titus' state senator:
"Anthony Galluccio laps up wrist slap."
Oh? And does he wrist up a lap slap?

Dear Scott:
Appropriately enough, you misspelled "effete."
Your friend,
Lucid
I apologize. It's not a lifestyle I embrace, so I'm not as intimately familiar with the word as you are.
