I thought it was the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame who had the shalalas.

All you needed to know about Donna Shalala, but didn't think it polite to ask.

The article also said that SMU killed their bowl opponent, as did Utah, as did BYU. And all three of those big bowl winners were blown out by TCU during the regular season. That is the 2009 football story that the media doesn't cover.

Liked your link, vb. Funny and fair. (I knew Tad Foote, Donna's predecessor. Also had Wisconsin ties. Not quite as unique though.)

I think I recall you saying that about Tad Foote, David. I hope I haven't mistaken you with another commenter though. :)

Rush's acoustic Shalayla theme, from back in the day.

Semi-OT: Whoa. Urban Meyer, the Gator head football coach, just resigned! He cited health reasons.

Next up - the RamaLamaDingDong Bowl.

You think I'm kidding? ESPN had the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl this afternoon.

Like everything else, once they went past four Bowls on New Year's Day, it all went downhill.

Her roommate: Sweetie is a rescue dog. She was found beaten and lying in a Dumpster. She's like a toy German Shepherd, but she'd be upset if she knew I told you that. She wouldn't want to be described as small.

Ok, my neutrality to Shalala got me with that.

Donna Shalala has never been the same since Rosie O'Donnell went solo.
