The Last Dragon? Really?? I always did love that the villain was called Sho Nuff, so it gets points for that. Otherwise, I wouldn't think it would really be that bravado-inspiring. But hey, he was a street-vendor-scam-artist-gangsta-rapper so maybe we see (saw?) things differently.
I feel bad for the Virginia gun dealer whose business card that was scribbled on, for the implication that he had sold the gun to the thug. Likely the thug had simply collected a bunch of dealers' business cards from a VA gun show he once attended.
But generally con men are not violent -- if you can make a living by your wits, why rely on your fists (or worse)?
This dangerous man was a rapper about cop killing and shooting all opposition. If you see that listening to his own voice chanting this message that he was repeating over and over as programing into a value system that sees the murdering others as a necessary part of his self esteem; then you can understand Major Hassan's self programming in the chants required from him at the Moslem Mosques and their Proclamation Towers. The results are the same. The fact that you are alive and as yet un-murdered and not Submitted to them is such a blow to their enchanted self esteem, that you become to them fair game for ritual murder.

Owning a handgun lawfully and getting a concealed carry permit is impossible for a non-cop NYC resident who is not rich and connected.
Which goes to show...
if you can make a living by your wits, why rely on your fists (or worse)?
Because you just watched The Last Dragon!
Didn't Althouse once do a post on the NYC "sidewalk stare" into the distance?
I suppose this is yet one more example of where that learned behavior orignates.

Poem, I think.
But... is Al Gore's poetry better?
