"We were an oppressed nation in China."

"Now we are being oppressed in America for a second time.''

The sensitive Obama is not responding to these Anti-Chinese fighters' plight. I wonder why.

KCFleming said...

At one point Monday, one of the Uighur men called out: "Obama didn't release us. Why?"

Yes, Mr. President, why are you continuing to "make decisions from within a climate of fear"?

Ha ha ha! Snort! Ha! Choke! Haaaa haaaa hhaaaa! You guys crack me up. You guys actually fell for that? Snort. Haaa haa.

China is the world's most Christian nation now. While there are about 70 million party members, there are 100 million Christians in that country. And these folks are not cultural Christians, they are people who face hardship and persecution for their beliefs. I wonder what this portends for the Uighurs. I wonder what it portends for us.

It's okay, though. Sooner or later Obama will "re-set the relationship" with you and proclaim that he, too, comes from a Uighur background.

Then he'll leave and you'll still be in prison. Unless you are ready for all the freedoms your native country provides. How about that? Wanna stay at Club Gitmo or go back to China? Which is better?

KCFleming said...

Chinese-torture-wise, Gitmo is by far the greater of the two prisons.

Obama doesn't have time for these unwanted oppressed people.

He's busy hobnobbing with and giving a visual image of support to the freedom loving House of Saud and Hosni Mubarak.

I wonder if these Uighurs could work in Chinese restaurants. Nevermind, they might overdose the MSG on purpose. Can they even read and write in Chinese? They sound like they are from a moslem culture in a area bordering the 'Stans.

Its Obama's new policy - trickle down freedom.

He's now free to do anything he wants, and over time that freedom will trickle down from Obama to China, Gitmo, North Korea, Iran, and the middle east dictatorships.

Meanwhile, the Chinese laugh at our Tresuary Secretary when he attempts to asssure them that their money is safe in US bonds.

Sure its safe - we promise to pay them a dollar plus interest for every dollar they gave us - and we will.

Well, what we pay them will be denominated dollars, but they will only be worth 50 cents a piece, and the Chinese know it.

Foreign nations are laughing at American leadership again, and we're not even six months removed from Bush.

I thought Obama was supposed to change all that.

I hate it too when I'm so oppressed that I can't communicate to the press to broadcast my misery around the world!

The Uighurs have just been Barry-pwned, the Democrat variant of being RickRolled.

"Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
"

Well, not never.

Sounds like the Uighurs have lost that hope and change feeling.

We are the Uighurs, Mister Jones,
No private rooms or telephones,
We had our breakfast in yurts before
But we won't have it their anymore.

With apologies to Mr. Berlin.

Fen said...

But do they like us? Because thats whats really important.

Fen said...

We want to sit with the cool kids at lunch. And I don't think the Uighur are popular enough for us to hang with. Same goes for Tibet and Taiwan. Losers!

Fen said...

Which is why China will demand the Pacific Rim as collateral. Never really liked that S. Korea kid anyway.

Related: Michael Moore was on the lunatic fraud Keith Olbermann's show last night crooning about the government's takeover of GM and other industries. Olbermann, the lunatic fraud, gruntingly approved Moore's statements.

These, of course, are the same two individuals who railed away against the national security policies of Bush.

Somehow listening in to our phone conversations is a dangerous abuse of state power but the government running entire industries is just swell.

No danger there.

And did I say Olbermann was a lunatic and fraud?

Instead of staging a protest, the Uighurs should put their time to better use by staging a production of “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

Tee hee. Interesting how that shoe looks on the other foot.

On Morning Edition, an Egyptian blogger was arguing that he didn't think it was right for Obama to go to Egypt. That it sent the wrong message. That he should have gone to Turkey or Indonesia - Muslim majority democracies. Renee Montagne - sounding ever so puzzled - "But, don't you think he can bring change?"

LOL.

Weren't the Uighurs the workers on cloud city?

Obama House 2009

Obama: Uighurs, you can't spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes!
You fucked up - you trusted us!
Hey, make the best of it! Maybe we can help
.

Uighur: [crying] That's easy for you to say! What am I going to tell Al Qaeda?

Obama: I'll tell you what. We'll tell Al Qaeda you were doing a great job taking care of his jihad, but you parked it out back last night and in the morning, it was gone. We report it to the UN, Al Qaeda's mosque buys him a new jihad. Rahm takes care of the details.

Uighur: Will that work?

Obama: Hey, it's gotta work better than the truth.

Obama: [thrusting six-pack into Uighur's hands] My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.

The posts above sure reference Obama a lot when they're really only snickering at the plight of Uighur.

Being deliberately obtuse is neither funny nor interesting.

The post above is an example of #2. (The other #2).

Eh, most of the "snark" above was quite obviously directed at Obama. If he doesn't count as "those in power" then who does?

(1) UWS guy didn’t like my comment, so I decided to make it up to him. This one will leave everybody in stitches. I promise!

(2) These 17 Uighur dudes walk into the Camp Iguana Officers’ club. The bartender says, “You guys can’t come in here. It’s for officers only.”

The head Uighur dude says, “It’s okay. We are devout Muslims and do not consume alcohol.”

“Well, in that case I guess it’d be okay,” says the bartender.

So the 17 Uighur dudes push four tables together. They enjoy their meal, pay their bill and they leave a nice tip.

The End.

(3) Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!1!!!!!!!

(4) Pretty good, huh?

For Pogo:

"Do you remember Rick Astley?
He had a big hit it was ghastly.
He sang "I'm never gonna give you up or let you down."
I'm here to tell you that dick's a clown.

Though he may not have known when he wrote that vow,
I'm here to tell you that he knows by now . .

(Chorus)

All men, all men are liars
Their words aren't worth a load of worn out tires.
Hey girls, bring rusty pliers,
To pull this tooth, cause
All men are liars, and that's the truth."

What a shining beacon of liberty our country is to break our own laws to hold innocent men in prison indefinitely.

So, the wingers don't much care if we actually behave like a country that believes in, and practices, freedom. As long as we bray about it long and loud enough.

Shame on Newt Gingrich for lying about these men.

Hey dipshit, your golden child is the one who won't release them and close Gitmo NOW!!!! like he promised to. Take it up with him. You voted for the asshole and now that he's following in that idiot Bush's footsteps you still blame 'wingers'.

We 'wingers' were telling you a year ago the guy is a fraud. I guess it only took him 4 months to prove it to you eh?

Barnum had a saying about folks like you.

"blah blah.........to hold innocent men in prison indefinitely. "

Innocent of what?

AlphaLiberal said...

LarsPorsena:

Innocent of what?

Ha.

Any reason to be locked up in jail.

We used to have a legal principle in this country which was called the presumption of innocence. It's been chipped away by the drug war and various other policies and was chucked out the window for anyone in Gitmo.

Hoosier Daddy, you kiss your mama with that mouth?

Obama has been in office 4 months now. And Bush left the country in terrible shape so there is, you know, a lot to do.

So you condemn Obama for not having solved this problem in 4 months and completely excuse Bush for his work in having created it?

Oh, by the way...

General Petreaus agrees that Gitmo hurts our image, our security and should be shut down.
Petraeus Criticizes Gitmo And Torture: ‘I Don’t Think We Should Be Afraid To Live Our Values’

Time for the right wing to slime Petreaus.

KCFleming said...

So close it already.
What's the big delay?

What is so hard about closing the prison and freeing the innocents being held there? Order it closed as CinC and release them. Pretty simple. We do it all the time with ex-cons who served their time.

Well here is my simple question to the General. What do we do with any future terrorists we capture? If not Gitmo then where? Is the Muslim world going to respect us once we close Gitmo and then house them in Leavenworth? Still haven't heard one person explain where they go after Gitmo is closed.

Unless of course we're taking no prisoners. You can read that anyway you like of course.

By all means, carry on the debate without us.

That's why they would be better off in China (PRC). Get them all one-way tickets to Beijing and we are eight steps closer to closing GITMO.

Sorry Alpha, I guess my sarcasm wasn't clear enough for you. On one hand you claim we have innocents in Gitmo yet Obama can't close the prison cause he's only been in office four months. How long does it take to free 'innocents'? You're the one making the claim they're 'innocent'.

Then you claim Pretreaus wants it closed too. Ok fine. Does Pretreaus have any idea what to do with them? Still waiting for that answer. Take your time.

knox said...

Clarification: Petraeus is for the responsible closure of GTMO. He's not advocating closing it willy-nillily.

We're holding illegal combatants till the end of the war.

Although I'm sure you'd prefer each one get is own lawyer. Plead the 5th. Radicalize the prison population, etc.

Please, don't be so self-righteous. The only reason you even care about this is as a political weapon.

The Weegs have used their Gitmo time well: they have become expert media manipulators! Maybe BHO can hire them as his Oppression Advisors and put them up in public housing.
