I was in a DWR store over the weekend, and decided that, at $4600 for an Eames chair and ottoman, their idea of what was within my reach was way different from mine. I guess it's back to Ikea.
In contrast, the tepee seems like a bargain -- roughly what DWR wants for two chairs.

I bet I could easily outfit two backpackers with everything they need for less than the cost of this one impractical tent.

I moved from Pennsylvania to LA as soon as I was old enough to buy alcohol. So naturally, I also ponder about Wisconsin natives in winter.
I'm waiting for someone to market one with collapsible aluminum poles so that it can be transported more easily. A tee pee seems like the perfect thing to bring to the beach.

Oh,....I thought this was another 'burqa' thread,
Is there a wigwam to go with it?
I'm too tense.
I'm a bicycle.
I'm too tired.
I think that if it's left outside, it will become a yucky mess. Mildew resistant, not mildew proof.
Freeman says "I think that if it's left outside, it will become a yucky mess. Mildew resistant, not mildew proof."
Not true. I have this one. http://www.tipi.com/kidstipi.html
It's been setup outside for like two years. Not mildewy at all. Kind of cool looking.
I'm waiting for someone to market one with collapsible aluminum poles so that it can be transported more easily. A tee pee seems like the perfect thing to bring to the beach.
At a price of more than $1700, I assume it comes with a live pony and a sledge to carry the sucker.
