The tobacco product is not a drug. But it certainly is a place holder for Activists who are now getting their gobs of government money to seek and destroy bad smells. Any real problems are above their pay grade.

The only "mainstream journalist" who made such a mistake was a 24 year old web producer, which come to think of it is what a "mainstream journalist" is these days

It pains me to say this, but I'm blaming that one on the programmer. I've made similar mistakes.
