Yes, if we can find a man to take the job ( Would a woman have to be considered too?). The boy now in the Oval Office needs a new father figure, since his wife is too busy now being the First Lady. I suggest Tony Dungee.
Last Father's Day, candidate Obama told men they needed to act more responsibly and be better. Women, apparently, are good and need a WH Council to support them. Single mothers are heros. Men need an ass-whooping.
For once, I would like a speech telling women to act more responsibly and be better. Mother's Day would be a good time to roll that one out.
Would the White House Council on Men and Boys be overseen by a czar?
The Man Czar. What a great title to have on your business card.
"I am the Man Czar and I decree by this manly writ that every man and boy in our land shall have a Man's Room in his dwelling, which room shall include leather recliners, a 52" wide screen TV, a bar, a popcorn machine and a pizza oven. Further, there will not be allowed in any Man's Room any nagging, hectoring, bitching, kvetching, carping, bullyragging or any other such activity by anyone not possessed of testicles."
"As Man Czar, I further decree by this manly writ that every college and university shall provide either on its campus or in its community a Mens Support and Counseling Center, which shall provide services only to male students and community members. These facilities shall be known as Hooters, and serve lunches, beer and big screen televised sporting events as part of the support and counseling activities."
How about focus on appointments at Treasury and stop crapping about with this stuff. Oh yeah, he's so post-partisan - if by that you mean one party state.
What Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said about BHO's NCAA picks applies here also - Council on Men and Boys, Council on Women and Girls, etc. Mr President, items 1 through 100 on your agenda consist of one issue - the economy. Stop goofing around with community organizing/identity politics piffle.
As Man Czar, I decree by this manly writ that every college and university in our land shall have a Department of Men's Studies which shall teach men the fundamentals of the masculinist movement.
The masculinist curricula shall include Beer Theory; Babes in History; Seals and Berets: Women Can't Hack The Training; Never Date A Woman Who Owns Cats And Belongs To a Book Club; Pay For Lay: The New Relationship Paradigm; Practicum in Commitment Avoidance; and Masculinist Economics: How To Score A Cool Apartment Near Wrigley Field.
The White House Council on Women and Girls should be merged with the White House Council on Men and Boys to create the White House Council on People, the goal of which is to promote policies that help people. President Obama should head the Council, and its name can be shortened to the White House.
In order to foster the notion that western civilization is an evil construct of a white patriarchal overclass, men who sign up for the Masculinist Studies program will each be given a bumper sticker that reads: Horn If You're Honky.
Oh, I'm already on record here in saying that there is a concerted effort in this country to marginalize and minimize the impact of men and boys. You can see it in modern media all over the place and now there is an office in the WH for Women and Girls. It's bullshit and should never have been done. Men are already portrayed as knuckle-dragging morons who are only interested in porking anything that moves, removing belly-button lint, and scratching their nuts at every opportunity.
Should there be an office for men and boys? No because it would serve no purpose, get no funding, and would require any policy or legislation to go up against Title IX. It would be a sham.
It's telling that in a recession where 75% of the job losers have been men that the Obama White House must express its feminist orthodoxy.
I'm sure that one of the MSM acolytes of Obama will tell us how women and children are hurt most by the recession because the men they rely upon for financial stability are jobless.

An office of nagging is called for.
How about a White House Council on clowns and jesters?
Truly the only way to resolve this vexing question is to set up a White House Council on Councils.
But seriously, the message here seems to be that no matter how bad things get for boys/men, well, they're men, so they can look after themselves.
Women, on the other hand, need a Presidential Council to make sure they're doing all right, even if by many metrics they are outperforming men.
I think I'd be vaguely insulted if I were a woman.

It could work.
Who needs a Presidential Council on Men and Boys when you have the Men of the Square Table?
Men are sexist pigs who oppress women.
Well, except for liberals such as Barack and Teddy Kennedy.
So no more councils, pass me a beer.
Or if we must, I nominate Michael for Man Czar, I like his thinking.
Sofa King:
As a woman, I'm far more than vaguly insulted. But that's hardly a new feeling to get from the feminist liberal sorts for me.
I nominate Titus for Man Czar. That would be fun.
I'll be Titus doesn't have "tax issues."

The Council on men and boys may become a target of too many Gay/Straight issues. Could we call it the Fathers and Sons Council?

Didn't Clinton used to have a Council on Women and Girls? Or was that just part of his pick-up line?
"I'm putting together a Presidential Council on Women and Girls. Wanna be on my staff?"
Hey oh!
Bill Clinton (smacks head): "Why didn't I think of that!"
The White House Council on Women and Girls should be merged with the White House Council on Men and Boys to create the White House Council on People, the goal of which is to promote policies that help people. President Obama should head the Council, and its name can be shortened to the White House.
How about a White House Council of Teleprompters Conference?

That's demeaning. Women and female children get lumped together. Presumably because they think the men and boys get the real government?
