"Beware the long arm of Butt-Head."

A Code Pink lady tries to make a "citizen's arrest" of Karl Rove:

That sent me looking for the great old "Citizen's Arrest" episode of the Andy Griffith show, but I got distracted by the less-remembered, but hilarious "Citizen's Arrest" episode of "Beavis and Butt-Head":

And, yes, the Code Pink woman commits a crime in that video. And a tort.

Never saw Beevis and or Butthead before - it made me laugh. "Hey, we're citizens!"

Code Pink, they don't make me laugh. Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs, he wasn't funny, either. Except when he was getting fed into a woodchipper in Fargo, which wasn't in Fargo.

Maybe those loonies can change their name to Code Tortfeasor. Less concise, more accurate.

She wasn't wearing pink. I don't get it.

LOL thanks Althouse.

She was pink on the inside.

John Conyers was watching closely.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

In the Obama administration, Code Pink will have its demands met, and there will be show trials.

Titusdoesntbottom म्हणाले...

What is Karl Rove doing in San Francisco?

That would be like me in Pensacola..or Montgomery..or Chattanooga...or Provo...or... Canton...or Wheeling...or Couer de Lane...or Ft. Wayne...or Hickory, NC...or Gatlinburg...or Hot Springs...or Texarkana...or Tulsa...or Carbondale...or Shreveport...or Colorado Springs...or Bethlehem..or Allentown...or Topeka.

Bissage म्हणाले...

You see?

This is an example of what I’ve been talking about.

Not everyone is improved by their education.

Left in a more natural state, that Code Pink lady would have better spent her time constructing voodoo dolls or issuing gypsy curses or something like that.

Simon म्हणाले...

"And a tort."

Assault?

Skeptical म्हणाले...

Not assault, battery.

Bissage म्हणाले...

Not battery, peanut.

lys म्हणाले...

I see assault, battery, and trespass.

AlphaLiberal म्हणाले...

I see the politicized DOJ refusing to do their job for Rove having exposed a CIA agent working on nuclear weapons proliferation and Iran.

Party before country. That's Rove!

There are certain countries Cheney, Rove, Bush et al will be traveling to in coming years to avoid war crimes proceedings.

Sigivald म्हणाले...

Sorry, AlphaTalkingPoints.

But Karl Rove isn't Richard Armitage, and despite the CIA's jaw-jaw over it, Ms. Plame still doesn't seem to be covered by the IIPA's actual wording.

You see, you're trying to talk about laws and crimes, where the law's words and definitions matter.

Do people who pay no attention to little facts like those believe what you say about the non-scandal, however? Is this just robotic repetition designed to browbeat the opposition?

Or have you spent so much time listening to the "get Rove" and "Plame was so a super-secret undercover agent!" teams that you just can't even think about Armitage and the text of the IIPA?

(Note: Preceding questions are, of course, rhetorical, as no useful answer is expected.

I normally wouldn't bother, but by God this endless repetition of "truths" that don't stand up to examination is tiresome.)

cnnenfreude म्हणाले...

Unlawful imprisonment.

अनामित म्हणाले...

In light of the "overwhelming" evidence of guilt, the conviction of a majority of Americans that the Bush Administration should be tried for its crimes and the deep desire of some Democrats to move forward, I'm surprised this isn't a big campaign issue.

Where is famed and vauted music critic Steve Simels when you need him?

अनामित म्हणाले...

Uhhhh... we don't have torts. Only, like, burgers and stuff.

Agnostic Monk म्हणाले...

I wish Beavis and Butthead would be brought back as a entire show again without the songs.
Mike Judge's other show 'King of the Hill' is really good too. But completely different from Beavis and Butthead.

blake म्हणाले...

I knew Judge was going to be big when I first saw Frog Baseball at Mike & Spike's.

My friends and I used to threaten each other with citizen's arrests when we were, like, seven-years-old. It was a popular rhetorical device.

mccullough म्हणाले...

This isn't a crime in San Francisco.

Titusdoesntbottom म्हणाले...

San Francisco isn't pro America.

Yea, it is all purdy and shit.

But isn't pro America.

They have San Francisco values out there. I can't abide by that.

Titusdoesntbottom म्हणाले...

Beavis and Butthead work at Whattaburger.

The best part of Texas...Whattaburger.

I love Whattaburger's.

Whattaburger is very pro America

AlphaLiberal has the party-line hook so far down his throat that he can't talk without the liberal line and sinker constricting his uvula and oropharynx.

"Thruth" is that the party is right; all bends to the party and candidate.

^^^ fixed roll to role.

I love all of these videos with all of my heart.

Rove's implacable equanimity as the pink-inside SFan seizes attention, again, in an hilariously unapt attempt at a citizen's arrest. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I do love them so.

I feel warmth all over.

Don Knox as Barney Fife. Supremely hilarious. Best casting in the history of comedy television. I saw an old clip of Don Knox as a comic before he got that role, a spot on Ernie Kovacs or something. He had an act as an exceedingly nervous lawyer. I could see how that could be translated into a nervous deputy, jitteringly patting his pockets for his bullet, finding one at last, loading a shaking pistol, and immediately firing it off nearly hitting his foot. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. RIP, you loon. No wait. Don't RIP, the hereafter would be less without his comedy in it.

Bevis and Butt-Head, sheer genius. The splendid cluelessness of it is brilliant. They haven't the faintest idea why the cop gets out of the car and bludgeons them silly. Just as the pink-inside SFan apparently doesn't understand why she's being dragged off. Of course, she does understand why and that adds to the comedy. Ha ha ha ha ha. America would be a less entertaining without Code Pink, and that's why I love them.

Don Knotts. Like the Berry Farm.

According to Wiki, Knotts was supposed to be the straight man initially!

Dream on AL, there wll be no "war crime" trials if Obama is elected.

A couple of congress sub-chairs will hold hearings to appease the ant-war wingnuts but Pelosi knows this is a loser in blue collar America where she must maintain margins. She will also have a full plate of kitchen table issues to address before mid-term elections ramp up.

There are also organizations in Eastern Europe that would love to drag Clinton to the Hague for dropping cluster bombs in Serbia, which btw are still maiming people, mainly curious children. Five Albanian children died last year playing with bomblet.

Eli Blake म्हणाले...

The whole Bush administration will fade away (as rapidly as possible) into the annals of incompetent and failed Presidencies (there to join such luminaries as the Buchanan administration, the Grant administration, the Harding/Coolidge administration and yes, I will admit the Carter administration) and the next President can move on to the business of cleaning up the mess Bush left us with.

Beavis/Butthead could indeed have done a better job than Bush/Cheney have done.

Revenant म्हणाले...

If there ARE "war crimes" trials against members of the Bush administration, you can bet the same thing will happen to the Obama administration once the next Republican President gets elected.

It is a bad precedent. Hopefully Obama has the wits not to set it.

अनामित म्हणाले...

The Coolidge administration wasn't a failed administration.

"The normal must look after themselves."

Still the best domestic political philosophy going.

Then again, considering contemporary America, it's probably a budget buster.

अनामित म्हणाले...

Harding, on the other hand, is a fine cautionary tale for Obama supporters: “I have no trouble with my enemies. I can take care of my enemies in a fight. But my friends, my goddamned friends, they're the ones who keep me walking the floor at nights!”

RuyDiaz म्हणाले...

Well excuse me Eli Blake:

How exactly was the Coolidge administration a failure*? Are you a failure unless you turn America upside down, and build giant monuments to yourself?

Jeesus.

* This is not to say that I accept your assumptions that those other administrations are failures. I get the impression you are simply talking out of the wrong hole here.

Veeshir म्हणाले...

How do these people always manage to get on stage or in the halls of Congress or, well, pretty much anywhere they're not supposed to be?

Charlie Martin म्हणाले...

I see the politicized DOJ refusing to do their job for Rove having exposed a CIA agent working on nuclear weapons proliferation and Iran.

I see pink elephants.
