Where you might not know what this is a picture of, and I don't know what you're going to talk about. But you can click here if you don't want to guess what the picture is, and I will stop back in a little why and eavesdrop on you.

A little why
A little why not
Makes a little ex;
Whether ex or why
Marks the spot
It all boils down to sex.

X-tra time would be nice today.

Piano lessons, band rehearsal, discussion group with graduate class, drop by the business and meet with management, read Althouse, rearrange stage before band rehearsal, pray for our nation, lesson plans for tomorrow's class, other stuff that hopefully I'll recall before it's too late.

Billy Zoom, the founder of the band X, blames Jesse Jackson for destroying Stax. Here's the full interview. Or just read the excerpt concerning Jesse Jackson and Stax.

Remember when Ann mentioned the other Althouses of this world? One of them was enmeshed in the kosher meatpacker's illegal immigrant employee ruckus. Also on Wednesday, a human resources manager from the Postville plant pleaded guilty in federal court in Cedar Rapids to harboring illegal immigrants and identity theft. The manager, Laura Althouse, 38, helped illegal immigrant workers obtain false resident visa numbers so they could be hired at the plant, according to her plea.

The charge of identity theft carries a mandatory two-year minimum prison sentence. Ms. Althouse also faces a maximum sentence of 12 years on the harboring charge and fines of up to $500,000. Another human resources manager, Karina Freund, faces similar charges.

Cook's Illustrated ranked their Rubashkin’s Aaron’s Best turkey highest in their taste test last November, presumably because the koshering process involves brining.

Former Law Student, I saw that earlier and considered doing an "Other Althouse" post, but it was a little dreary. Not like the hula + zen Althouse.

I mentioned it only because this sentence caught my eye when I was flipping through the paper this morning (the physical paper is oddly more serendipitous). Ms. Althouse also faces a maximum sentence of 12 years on the harboring charge and fines of up to $500,000.

I feel bad for her; what HR person would expect to face moral dilemmas in her job? Her interviewers probably did not explain the job entailed a risk of going to the federal pen.

Lock that Althouse bitch up!

Umm...not the one with the photos and fun blogs - the one that swapped illegals for unionized native workers...
