Glenn Reynolds polls his readers on their choice for President.

Vote and see — or just look — at who his readers are picking. As Dan at 4:17 AM says: "Just in case Glenn was wondering who reads his blog..."

So... let's see who's reading the Althouse blog:

Who will you vote for in November?
Bob Barr
John McCain
Barack Obama
Ralph Nader
None Of The Above

IN THE COMMENTS: Simon writes:
Ann, I'd think that you of all people would include an option "I haven't decided" in such a poll!

Well, I was word-for-word replicating Glenn's poll. I voted in both polls assuming the election was being held today. I may or may not reveal how I voted, but you can vote on how you think I voted:

How did Althouse vote?
John McCain
Barack Obama

ADDED: Ha ha. "How did Althouse vote?" is showing absolute neutrality — 50-50. See? It really has been cruel neutrality around here~

Do not trust polls that allow you to vote twice.

We're sorry, you've already commented in this blog!

If McCain wins = voter fraud.

If Obama pulls ahead, nevermind.

Do not trust polls that allow you to vote twice.

You tried to do so?

Ann Althouse বলেছেন...

I tried several times to revote on my poll (to test it), and couldn't.

bleeper বলেছেন...

You're kidding, right? I have voted 122 times so far.

bleeper বলেছেন...

127

You can vote more than once but it doesn't appear to count. The URL changes to

http://poll.pollcode.com/P22W_result_duplicate

IE pops up with a message that you've already voted as well. I'm sure with a little effort one could bypass that bit of security.

MadisonMan বলেছেন...

You people who can't vote more than once need multiple computers.

Icepick বলেছেন...

This provides fodder for another poll: Is it nuttier to vote for Ralph Nader or Bob Barr?

Is pollcode.com owned by Diebold? I suspect this is a beta version of their new software to steal this fall's election.

Now that really is a good question.

proud supporter of "None of the Above"

Works for me.

MadisonMan বলেছেন...

Prof. A, when I voted for how you voted, the vote was deadlocked. I conclude that half the people don't really read what you write.

AllenS বলেছেন...

Thanks Trooper, I had forgotten about that other guy.

AlgonquinS বলেছেন...

Where's the voting booth? Oh, there it is.

AlgonquinS বলেছেন...

Oh, poop! I got this message:
We're sorry, you've already voted in this poll!

Will বলেছেন...

Still Deadlocked. Apparently, the vow of cruel neutrality is still working.

Or they know how to read what she doesn't write.

A commenter on Reynolds's poll laments:

Sure wish the Republicans had a candidate in this race.

Gee, I there's a whole library of computers just next door!

I don't see what's "nutty" about Barr. The Libertarian Party is pretty nutty, yeah, but Barr himself was a fairly ordinary Republican Congressman. I do wonder who voted for him, though. I don't remember any of the commenters here supporting him.

I picked "none of the above", myself.

Bissage বলেছেন...

I tried voting but I think I might have only dimpled my chad.

Bissage বলেছেন...

Okay, that was just a joke.

Actually, I wrote in Ross Perot.

blake বলেছেন...

Still pretty close to even.

I guess the neutrality part worked out, even if the cruel didn't.

reader_iam বলেছেন...

It's not that I lied in the poll, it's that I don't know whether it'll be the truth come November.

reader_iam বলেছেন...

Re: Voting twice (in general)

Sheesh, these days it take all the energy I have to get semi-aroused to vote once.

blake বলেছেন...

Reader, Is that a metaphor?

Or am I listening to Bob Herbert too much?

reader_iam বলেছেন...

Jeez, is everyone gonna go all meta on me today in Althouse threads?

Really, I'm not feeling all that deep.

Thick, maybe.

Well, we know she isn't a Hillary supporter, because she doesn't have a lot of "pent up desire" to get aroused with!

Bissage বলেছেন...

Reader's pretty cool.

Ann, re: cruel neutrality

Remember: You are perceived as 50/50 neutral by a readership nearly three quarters of whom intend to vote for John McCain.

Wouldn't the better gauge of your neutrality be a neutral audience?

blake বলেছেন...

Depends on what you mean. If you had more Obama voters, they might think that Althouse has been unduly harsh, and therefore pro-Obama.

McCain voters might feel that she's not even considering McCain seriously, since she barely mentions him.

Assuming you could get a cruelly neutral audience, I'd guess they'd split 70/30 for Obama; that's the only thing Althouse has said about her personal leanings.

Or like me, they just wouldn't vote. I don't have any reason to think she's made up her mind, nor any reason to think she will make up her mind before November.

I probably won't either. I've indicated many times I wouldn't vote for anyone on the ballot, but when I'm confronted with the actual choice...Who knows?

Susan বলেছেন...

Why am I suddenly hungry for chocolate cake?

Sissy Willis বলেছেন...

"Cruel neutrality," or is the Divine Miss A one of those charismatic -- glamorous? -- demi-goddesses upon whom each of us projects our own hopes and dreams?

নামহীন বলেছেন...

Do not trust polls that leave off RonPaul.

Revenant বলেছেন...

Why would the fact that most of Ann's readers favor McCain bias our guess as to who she'd vote for?
