In the before (2006), and after (2008), there seems to be a shortage of men.

The heavy rains did not fall in the Lake Superior watershed.
it brings back fond memories of visiting my aunt and uncle who lived on Mendota in the early 70's.

For some reason, it's always women out on that pier (which isn't the main place people hang out).
As for the chairs... they inspire a huge amount of love and nostalgia. They mean a lot to people.
