The Chinese side in the Tibet music wars (``Tibet Plateau''), YouTube, speakers need a good bass response to follow the interesting bass line inversions. There are many Chinese pop-folk cliches in the arrangement, but it's quite pleasant.
A competing version without bass response requirements.
The song has unfortunate Star-Spangled-Banner singer openings and closings but the middle is nice.
I like the "Maya" button.
It shows some plume-hat pyramid dude holding up a flaming heart.

obligatory addition: Yes I take what the Chinese are doing seriously and think it is awful.
It seems like there is a certain class of people who live on activistism. The Chinese maltreatment of Tibet seems to be the new Darfur.
The beatific wolf button brings back memories of a similar shirt I was given when I was little. The plastic backing for the image covered the entire front of the shirt -- it was like wearing a pastel rain slicker. It's the liberal equivalent of a velvet Elvis.
Those button salespeople are a city-wide franchise; I see them set up on Sixth Avenue near 23rd Street sometimes. I once told them that if they wanted to increase sales they should have "conservative" buttons as well. They said that they had some once but no one bought them. Conservatives don't wear buttons it seems.
"Free Tibet" is one of the first of the "slacktivist" causes. I remember it from the late 80s I think. It's just now being rediscovered. Anytime the slacktivists are against another government besides the US and Israel, I'm behind them.
Did you see Richard Gere? He should have been there. Or maybe he's traveling with the Dali Lama this week.
If you count the smiley faces, there are just as many Obama buttons left as Hillarys.

What is the point of these rallies, other than to raise funds for the professional protest groups?
Maybe liberating dollars from other peoples wallets who are too hip to see the irony of selling Che buttons to protest Communist murderers?
It sure isn't to accomplish anything, like, actually freeing anyone from oppression. That would take backing military intervention, which is a no-no in their eyes. Better for Tibetans to suffer and die, in order for leftwingers to maintain their moral superiority on such issues.
