Nice car.
Cats love to sit on the warm hood during the winter. I had a cat that sat on the hood of my black car. Little paw prints every where. If I was obsessed with my car's shine, it would have been a nightmare.

I like cats a lot, but I'm incredibly allergic to them. Alas. I'm rooting for genetic engineering to produce cheap hypoallergenic cats.

That is a freaking big cat!
Had an 'aha' moment earlier today, but could not post 'till now. I think Manx cat is a good clue: They have no tail. Maybe when our hostess was a kid, she mishandled a small rodent and caused its tail to come off--this is pretty common I understand. Maybe Ann's mom reacted by forbidding her from ever having a pet again.
Or it could just be a temporary thing, what with living in a Brooklyn apt for a year...
Swat that vile beast off your car with a broom! You have no idea of what cat urine can do to car paint!
