Palladian photoshopped that crazy photograph from the WaPo article I was talking about earlier today.
IN THE COMMENTS: Palladian writes:
For the record: I am NOT suggesting that Bill and Hillary Clinton are Communists or even socialists for that matter. I was merely struck by the photo and the fact that, intentional or not, it uses a conventional propagandistic mode of depicting political leaders. I would have done the same to any politician photographed in that way, though being able to use Hillary Clinton's old quote made them an especially good target.

very amusing, though I bet Glenn provides a link and this post turns into a blood bath of nastiness as folks arrive from FDL, and dKOS.
anyway, nice picture Pal.
"Men, I sensed, somehow, would relish an ornamented woman, perhaps even one who was shamefully belled."
LOL, Palladian! Very good.
I am going to work even harder on the collective farm now, comrades!

He's thinking, hmmmm onion rings
She's thinking, how about Chinese?
Palladian,
Awesome--and I only use that word when it's appropriate! Very smart comment on the photo, social realism, and propaganda.
Sign up with Cafe Press pronto and get those t-shirts and coffee mugs out now!
I like the font, except for the A. The A is boring.
Pal,
I am impressed by the clothes. They look so believable, I had to go back and check to discover they were not original
too bad you didn't have more to work with.
the classic Soviet pose would have "tools of industry" in their off hands. I envision a eight pound hammer in Bill's hand and a sickle in Hillary's.
Perfection, Palladian!
He is thinking cheeseburger, but she is thinking "get your hand off me, weasel!"
MadisonMan, yeah, I didn't really want to spend any time on this (total time: about 15 minutes) because I should really be doing other work, so I just Googled "Soviet font" and use the first free font I could find. If I were to spend more time on it, I might work on the lettering a bit more. But I'm not going to do that. The font works well enough for the little joke.
"too bad you didn't have more to work with."
Or more time to do it.
"the classic Soviet pose would have "tools of industry" in their off hands. I envision a eight pound hammer in Bill's hand and a sickle in Hillary's."
I did think about a hammer and sickle in there in place of the stars, but since I regard the hammer and sickle as on par with the swastika, I decided it wouldn't be right.
Shoes for industry, Comrade!
Well done! That's really funny. Especially her overalls.
Palladian: a perfect blend of 1930s soviet style coupled with the NORK dear leader font--Have you arranged for orchestral background by Shostakovich?
Weird that I ever called this a right-wing site.
Btw, isn't Condi just super?
This is excellent. You could so run an oppo ad.
Danny, LOL, but unlike Hillary Clinton, I'm willing to call myself a liberal. And it just so happens that a group of students asked me today who my favorite Supreme Court Justice is, and I said Breyer. How do you figure that?
Joe,
I thought I was the only one who thought H was cringing at the feel of B's hand on her shoulder. She is thinking next campaign stop can't come soon enough, get me out of this photo session!
Great photoshopping, Palladian, but the drill sgt is right about some ugliness coming up.
Regards,
She's thinking, how about Chinese?
The problem with a Clinton presidency is that eight years later, you're hungry all over again.
Why do you think you attract such a crowd of right-wingers to your site? It certainly isn't from all the wink-wink ridicule of "leftists" is it?
Or did you print a Nazi George Bush poster some time (just for kicks!), and I missed it?
Ruth Anne: Adapting the punchline from a Cold War joke:
The problem with a Clinton presidency is that eight years later, you're hungry for power again.
Well, it's true that I can't stand leftists. I can't stand repressive conservatives either.
They most decidedly are socialists without question. The only issue is whether they are communists. I have little doubts that they are, but it remains unproven.
It's still very fishy to me that Bill Clinton spent that time in Moscow. If you read about the Venona project, going to the USSR for a few months was a common activity for new communist agents to learn a trade, such as radio procedures, etc. I find the similarity striking.
Former Law Student: Much improved. Thanks.
What is WaPo ? Must be another one of those "hipster" abbreviations the avante garde are so fond of employing.
Your own regulars seem to think that some "ugliness" is in store for this post. I'll let you figure out why they would think that.
I'll get out before that happens, but let's just say that you frequently give the impression on this site that the term "leftist" contains everyone to the left of Joe Lieberman.
Something also tells me that your distaste for repressive conservatives won't prevent you from voting for Rudy Guiliani in 2008.
Fark.com did a contest for campaign posters derived from old Russian propoganda posters. It was hilarious

He doesn't weart shorts in public?
Shoes for industry, Comrade!
Shoes for the dead!
Nice pic, Palladian.
Althouse claims: I can't stand leftists. I can't stand repressive conservatives either.
Yeah, right. But somehow you just happen to make the former clear on a regular basis, but almost never manage to express the latter.
That may be good for your site meter, but it blows your claim out of the water.
...unlike Hillary Clinton, I'm willing to call myself a liberal. And it just so happens that a group of students asked me today who my favorite Supreme Court Justice is, and I said Breyer. How do you figure that?
Not too many liberal professors are invited to speak by the Federalist Society at the school. I wonder why ACS did not call.

It's called past experience, but I think Sarge is wrong in this instance, at least to the extent that the nutsroots don't much like Hillary either. If you mock Obama, Edwards et al, however, you're for the high jump.
It's well done, but I doubt that "The Clintons are Communists" is going to have much traction among independents, especially those who are even dimly aware of the Bill Clinton administration.
The dynamic of those like LOS, danny, Matlock, etc. that hang around here all day complaining about those who hold opinions contrary to their own continues to amuse and puzzle me. They are like disco fans hanging around the local jazz club every night complaining about the music.
To think I've misquoted Hillary many times in these comments. It was "for the common good!" and not "for your own good."
Ah, well, the operative part of the quote is, "We're going to take things away from you." Truly scary. Taking money away is bad enough. What's next? Guns? Real property? Fourth amendment rights?
Thanks for correcting me, Palladian.

What Debate?
When I saw that photo, one word came to mind:
GREED
weird, can a collective amnesia really form a mere 10 years later?
I love the selected outrage especially when compared to the "consensus" candidate of this blog and its commentors who said:
Freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.
/Rudy Giuliani
matlock, you just don't notice when I knock conservatives. I do it all the time.
And why isn't this portrait of the Clinton's viewed in a positive light? After all, they themselves spoofed "The Sopranos" -- and the Sopranos are a murderous crime family. Why isn't this perceived as a pop-art send-up? Maybe your own negativity toward the Clintons is influencing you.
Remember, I voted for Clinton twice, I signed the law professors' letter against impeachment, and I think there's a good chance I'll end up voting for Hillary. I just got done defending her against the stupid "Socks" attack. You're just primed to see me as an antagonist.
AA said: "...I think there's a good chance I'll end up voting for Hillary."
Do you think you will know any more of substance about her in a year than you know today? After months of carefully scripted appearances, audience-tailored statements and fawning MSM press coverage? Are you in favor of living in the Global Socialist Union for which she yearns?
As a self-professed liberal Madison academic/lawyer NYT reader perhaps you have similar disfunctional yearnings, else why would you even contemplate voting for that future.
Remember, I voted for Clinton twice, I signed the law professors' letter against impeachment, and I think there's a good chance I'll end up voting for Hillary. I just got done defending her against the stupid "Socks" attack. You're just primed to see me as an antagonist.
For some reason, they seem to have lost your signature. Shame, really.
Roy Cohn can you do your photoshop art on George and Laura? That would be just as cool and then Althouse can post that one too...because she is a liberal.
Rudy wants the Red Sox to win so now I have to vote for him.
It is interesting to read the comments here.
Palladian's link itself gives the context of the quote further down, and it makes it clear that Hillary was speaking against a Bush tax cut, and to a bunch of very wealthy Democrats. Of course taxes have to, by their nature, be voted on, either by a public vote or by a legislative body and then signed by an executive, whether they are going up or down. Hardly the kind of unilateral expropriation and collectivization of all goods that the Soviets were guilty of.
However, I can see already that if Hillary gets elected, there will be no reasoning with the far right, their irrational hatred of the Clintons will make, well, even chronic Bush haters look pretty tame by comparison.
[And here is a real irony: both Clintons and Bush actually agree on many, many issues, even issues like domestic surveillance, immigration reform, confronting Iran and terrorism, and globalization/free trade that often put them at odds with many in both parties.]
That said, while Hillary is my last choice for the nominee as a Democrat, not only will I support her in the general if she gets the nomination, but I will take solace in one specific: She will be the candidate that will cause the most heartburn and irritation among Republicans.
Palladian's link itself gives the context of the quote further down, and it makes it clear that Hillary was speaking against a Bush tax cut, and to a bunch of very wealthy Democrats.
That context doesn't actually make her sound any better to most of us, Eli, because we don't share the Democratic belief that fleecing the rich is acceptable. Yes, it is a given in American politics that upper-income Americans will always get stuck with the bill, but expressing a naked desire to deprive them of their money "for the common good" makes my flesh crawl.
I can see already that if Hillary gets elected, there will be no reasoning with the far right, their irrational hatred of the Clintons will make, well, even chronic Bush haters look pretty tame by comparison.
Unless the "Hillary haters" actually manage to *assassinate* Hillary Clinton, making Bush haters look "tame" is impossible. Bush haters have already accused him of being a genocidal neo-Nazi war criminal who is not merely the worst President in American history, but the worst world leader in ALL of history, and who has single-handedly destroyed the entire country and turned America into a police state. It simply isn't possible to top that level of irrational hatred. It makes all those "Clinton killed Vince Foster" conspiracy nuts look sane in comparison.
Points to tc, and the earlier post about Redstate banning Ron Paul supporters:
Something tells me this guy is probably supporting a republican candidate other than Wacko Ron. Man, do you really have such a miserable life that you have to go around posting your bullshit on blogs, knowing it will be deleted immediately upon the administrator's return?
I think I have the flu. I bet you it's the fault of those gay-loving feminists, eh tc?
Take a deep breath, again, and again, the election is 377 days off. Lots will happen. Hillary's problem won't be from getting trashed by the right, it will be from the Dem. primary opponents. Remember what happened to the "presumptive" nominees in the 2004 Dem. primary season? Expect things to change, and don't worry about what the party-who-won't-vote-for-you-anyway thinks.
A conservative who will probably pull the H lever in 2008.
Regards,
I love the selected outrage especially when compared to the "consensus" candidate of this blog
Rudy Giuliani is the consensus candidate of this blog? Since when? I mean, I plan to vote for him (or maybe for Thompson), but I don't feel a lot of love for him around here.
And danny, Rudy's not a repressive conservative. He's definitely got a strong authoritarian streak, but he favors a mix of liberal AND conservative repression. He's a repressive moderate. :)

I will know who her opponent is, and I will know what has happened in the world between now and then. And I will know whatever she may happen to reveal and what new information comes out (both about her and her opponent).
Vovan said..."For some reason, they seem to have lost your signature. Shame, really."
Well, that is interesting, but I was a signatory to the letter to the House. I refused, however, to sign the letter to the Senate. That may have caused a retroactive deletion. But I assure you I signed the original letter, even though I objected to a change in the language of the letter that occurred after I agreed to sign.
"Roy Cohn.."
In all seriousness, I'll ask you, first as a gentleman, never to refer to me by that name again. I would prefer it if you never actually refer to me again in any way. If you ignore me, I will ignore you.
Thank you.

How interesting. I will be basing my vote on who I think is best for the country. Who that person pisses off won't even be on the radar.
"can you do your photoshop art on George and Laura?"
He probably could. Do you have a picture of George and Laura in the New Soviet Man and Woman pose? Since that's the basis for the joke and all.
Ok, then, you piece of shit. Don't fucking call me by that man's name again. Seriously.
Everyone else, sorry to be so coarse, but I'm afraid I can't let this continue. I'd like to be able to participate in the comments section here without being taunted in that disgusting way. This commenter is not going to be going away by the looks of it, and some people (for whatever reason) like him/her/it, so I'd like to be able to figure out a way to coexist by ignoring each other.
Yeah, well now your gonna get a tauntin' from me for using foul language.....
And, you're no match for me!
"We have restrictive gun laws in NYC because of Rudy the conservative."
Really? No gun laws in NYC until '94 huh.

I'd like to be able to figure out a way to coexist by ignoring each other
So just ignore him. I've been skipping over Lucky's posts without reading them for months now.
The comments have taken a pathetic turn, Palladian.
The witless here will turn to destroying anything in sight, like the fires that some strangely have brought up, so remove yourself. Go do something else and enjoy the fact that your art was appreciated.
I second the Drill Sgt: Awesome overalls, dude.
Bush haters have already accused him of being a genocidal neo-Nazi war criminal who is not merely the worst President in American history, but the worst world leader in ALL of history, and who has single-handedly destroyed the entire country and turned America into a police state.
Nah. Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot were much worse than Bush. Bush's incompetence ranks with Warren Harding's and Millard Fillmore's, however, neither got us embroiled in forever wars. I still can't figure out why the Dems don't impeach him and Cheney, but I bet they're waiting for the war crimes trials.
One good thing about W. -- he makes his daddy look like a genius. I would rank G.H.W. in between Reagan and Clinton, thus far above Carter and Ford, and on a par with Nixon.

(Well, Althouse refuses to cover anything to do with California, so where am I supposed to go? )
Of course they are communists, or maybe not full blown communists, but the are Statists!
Def of a Statists:
1. One who is influenced by powerful members of any world body with the specific intention of controlling all the assets of the Nation, State or independent body, and giving the people nothing but taxes and high inflation.
2. Believes the State should control all the wealth of all nations, common wealths and States.
Bingo!
Althouse is jealous of all the rich and white folks in California, which is why she's said absolutely nothing about the fires.
For the record, I invented that word!
What is today 10/24/07
Oh, now everytime I post a comment, my email address is listed?
For the record: I never check that email address, so don't expect a response.
(Actually, I check that email address every two seconds. I simply enjoy the mystique being aloof and non-communicative.)
"Althouse refuses to cover anything to do with California, so where am I supposed to go?"
I'm actually going to California next week. So hang on. I'll soon have all kinds of California material.
Revenent, you commented around 5 times in this one thread, and said nothing that interested me. I think that is way too often. You need to work off your frustrations in a more constructive way. How about miniature golf? There's a beer stand on the 13th hole, the one with the "waterboarding" hazard. Can you please limit yourself to one comment per thread? You are so predictable that I already know what you're going to say ahead of time. And I hope, big time, that your flesh crawls now and throughout the campaign season, and that there is no salve to relieve the itch.
Is Palladian still getting all huffy about the Roy Cohn comparisons?
Let's see -- a self-hating gay guy who's nevertheless alligned with the virulently homophobic Republican part?
Nah...I can't see how anybody could make the connection...
It helps when you get to determine the definitions.
"Let's see -- a self-hating gay guy who's nevertheless alligned with the virulently homophobic Republican part?"
How am I aligned with the "virulently" (is that an HIV reference?) homophobic Republican part[sic]? I'm not a Republican. And spare me the psychoanalysis with your "self-hating" garbage. You know nothing about me. Which is good.
And I know everything I need to know about you. Which is nothing.
I still can't figure out why the Dems don't impeach him and Cheney, but I bet they're waiting for the war crimes trials.
Oh, yes. The war crimes trials for Bush and Cheney have finally been scheduled; they'll commence immediately after the tribunal finishes sentencing Clinton and Gore for the Kosovo war.
I'm actually going to California next week. So hang on. I'll soon have all kinds of California material.
Neato. Which part?
If its anywhere in the southern half of the state, I hope you made your hotel reservations already!
The Sox win!!!
13-1 in game 1, not a bad start.
Roy Cohn get over it. You have called me all sorts of vicious names on this site from loathsome to evil to disgusting.
If you can't take it don't dish it out Roy Cohn.
Again, I an in awe of your work Roy. Just ignore me if you have an issue with me. We can live together and post our thoughts. You call me loathsome and I call you Roy Cohn. Now I don't have any more time to focus on this nonsense and you should do your blood pressure a favor and move on.
It is time to talk about me. I am trying to determine which Colorado Rocky player I want to do. I haven't made a decision yet because I haven't had adequate time to assess their flaws. I hope by the time tomorrow night ends I will be able to give all of you my decision on who I want to do. Until then everyone, including Roy Cohn, have a great night.
I'm actually going to California next week. So hang on. I'll soon have all kinds of California material.
Would a meet-up in the general Los Angeles vicinity be possible?
(or are you heading to some other part of this large state?)
And speaking of Socialist Realism, I am alternately repulsed and fascinated by this webpage of Soviet era posters.
I would pay good money to see Lucky and the Drill Sgt breaking bread.
Give each one a baquette and a lot of room.
I would pay $102,003,030,033 dollars to be able to witness a live, face-to-face dinner between Ann and Maxine in California next week.
Screw egg salad...put up a donation link for THAT!
What would they say to each other? And more importantly, who would be the best dressed?!
ZPS, I'm unavailable. Next week's Halloween etc..
And, Althouse knows full-well, I don't provide hospitality to out-of-town guests on only a week's notice.
Sorry.
Fondly,
Maxine
Yeah, right. But somehow you just happen to make the former clear on a regular basis, but almost never manage to express the latter.
Bullshit.
I'm doing a panel on blogging at Stanford Law School a week from Monday.
Titus, stop being an ass. I'm going to delete the Roy Cohn references, because they are upsetting a most valuable commenter. I like you, but try to keep it that way.
Althouse, that valuable commenter has continued to make disparaging comments about me but I guess that is ok.
Go figure.
I guess I will have to go play someplace else.
In the world view of the gay fascist, an individual doesn't have a choice in being homosexual. Born that way, if a person holds the memory of having made individual personal choices along the way, well, they made those choices as a gay person for which they are not responsible. Now any self-respecting gay must automatically by definition be liberal, in the very least non-conformist, in order to have resisted the programming and simply cope. Given the American two party system, it's axiomatic that gays are logically, rhetorically, emotionally, culturally connected with the Democratic party, such as it is, because of their liberalness resulting from the circumstances of their birth. There are only two reasonable choices after all, therefore really only one choice. Come on now, an American gay has no logical choice but to register Democrat. Born gay, no choice. Democrat, no choice. You simply must agree with this. The gay fascist offers their fellow gays no choice at all. Soon the party will pick the candidate for them and they will have no choice but to vote for that candidate. This is all managed while complaining bitterly about the constitution being shredded and civil liberties trampled. Gay fascists are cnuts. And it takes a dozen posts within scores of jacked threads to drive these wearisome points.
Oh speaking of fascist art, palladian, woo to the pic
"I guess I will have to go play someplace else."
You misunderstood your role here. You are a courtier, a court jester, here to amuse the queen with your naughty little jokes. But you went too far, and offended a courtier more favored than you. You'll be lucky to keep your head.
Palladian,
That's stunning work. It reminds me of some statues I have from the Cultural Revolution; one is of a child in the Red Guard. The ceramic figures are simultaneously kitschy, frightening, humorous, and sad. You captured the style well.
No one who has read your prior comments would tag you as a Republican. A Kennedy-Truman democrat maybe. Titus was way off base. An adult would have taken your polite call for a truce and shut up. But Titus remains unable to reject those ghastly intellectual short pants of his.
Cheers.
I see I've got a flounce-off in two comments threads this morning. What is it with people? Titus, I don't see why you think you should be able to be nasty, repeatedly, to Palladian, who did the artwork for this post. He's only attacked you in defense. Don't be such a baby.
Oooooooh! A flounce off. That's gonna leave a bruise.
I was personally attacked first in comments in posts beginning 2 days ago, and after I responded, Ann said that we should all stop the personal attacks and talk about "ideas".
Palladian, you rate.
Titus - talk about "ideas"
I think we should establish some rules if we intend to have a flounce off.
It will take a little while to really devise the rules, but I know it will definitely require shorty T-shirts, thongs, a kiddie wadding pool and about eight gallons of Bosco.
Or are Titus and hdhouse the same person???
Flounce:
The most wonderful thing about Tiggers,
is Tiggers are wonderful things.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of springs.
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,

But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is,
I'm the only one.
Or are Titus and hdhouse the same person???
We can only pray . . .
Let's get the forensics girls on it, stat . . .
Palladian, you ROCK. Word.
(Thanks, Original Mike. Needed a FT fix...)
I know your fingerprints so well
I study them
I thought you could tell
Thought you could tell
The glass that magnifies runs over now
And now I realize
Thought you could tell
I know you’re not the one for me
But I wanna stick around and see
Thought you could tell
I know the way you cross your t’s
It’s what you do to get what you need
Thought you could tell
As summer leaves and fall arrives
I recognize it was all a lie
Thought you could tell
You’re quiet now all by yourself
Thinking about somebody else
(Third Wheel, On Account of the Atmosphere)
She was smitten from the first
By a curious fellow
She said I love the way you talk
And with a a flounce she announces
I love the way that you pronounce it: "Marshmallow"
So she liked to sing along
To her favourite song
From the year that she was born
She had mysterious affairs [?]
And promptly work out what her age is [?]
[Chorus:]
So speak to me
Just like you should
And then you can say those wicked things
And if you want
We'll make it good
Before my mood swings
Well he looked like one of those
Who would take off his clothes
Like he would peel a tangerine
Don't ****** know what truly blind is [?]
Once you have found out what your sign is
(MacManus/O'Riordan sung by Elvis Costello)
Who's the lovin' daddy with the beautiful eyes
What a pair o' lips, I'd like to try 'em for size
I'll just tell him, baby, won't you swing it with me
Hope he tells me maybe, what a wing it will be
So, I said politely, darlin', may I intrude
He said, don't keep me waitin'
When I'm in the mood
(Glenn Miller)
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna leave my lonesome home
And sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna hear my milk cow moan
And sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna hit the highway road
But then again, but then again, I said oh, I said oh, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you.
Sometimes I'm in the mood, Lord, I had my overflowin' fill
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna make out my final will
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna head for the walkin' hill
But then again, but then again, I said oh, I said oh, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you.
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna lay right down and die
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna climb up to the sky
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna laugh until I cry
But then again, I said again, I said again, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you.
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna sleep in my pony's stall
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I ain't gonna do nothin' at all
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna fly like a cannon ball
But then again, but then again, I said oh, I said oh, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you.
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna back up against the wall
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna run till I have to crawl
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I ain't gonna do nothin' at all
But then again, but then again, I said oh, I said oh, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you.
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna change my house around
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna make a change in this here town
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna change the world around
But then again, but then again, I said oh, I said oh, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you

Sorry I haven't commented here for a while. Maybe I'm not sorry. We'll see. I could sure as hell do without all those pop lyrics to scroll through.
Anyway, I've been in Europe and missed Professor Althouse's move to Brooklyn. As someone who grew up in Brooklyn I have lots to say, but not now. All I will say is welcome to Brooklyn Heights. I never thought I'd see a monologue from a balcony in Brooklyn Heights, but that was fantastic. See! Now I'm getting sidetracked.
I just wanted to make a point about flouncing off.
If anyone here is old enough to remember, Jack Paar walked off his show in 1960 over some double entendre joke or other that NBC blacked out. He did an angry opening monologue the next night, got up, and walked out, leaving Hugh Downs holding the bag. He came back a few months later, staying until Johnny Carson took over in '62, as I recall.
A year or two later, Jack was in London, and did an interview with some snotty BBC type for one of their chat shows. The interviewer said something like, "I understand you flounced off your show in America."
Jack didn't miss a beat. He said, "I'm an American. We don't flounce. We walk." With that he got up and strode off the set.
God, I miss him.
Bea welcome back. Please, please,
please tell me you have Adrienne Barbeau's phone number. I would pay a lot for that. Please advise soonest, your pal Trooper.
Sorry, when I think, no dream about Adrienne Barbeau, I do it in twos.
Link from Glenn Reynolds this morning over at Instapundit. Too bad he couldn't cite Palladian directly.
Nevertheless, excellent job.
I heard that just before posing for the original photo, Hill gave Bill oral sex. Once the task was completed, referring to long ago events, she stated: "There, better than that lame-ass intern, right?". To which Bill replied: "Close, but no cigar".
Now if we can just arrange a flounce off between Adrienne Barbeau and Pam Grier, I would be one happy Trooper.
Trooper: the best match for the immortal Adrienne Barbeau is the equally immortal Margot Kidder.
I don’t know. Isn’t she in an insane asylum. Maybe we can set up a tag team match and include Sybil Danning. Then we have a contest.
NB– "For The Greater Good" was the slogan of the dark wizard Grindelwald you mentioned here.
Trooper,
Before the cheetos gum up your keyboard, couldn't you just stop for a breather?
Regards,
wikip says Margot was briefly hospitalized for bipolar disorder in 1996. Since then, she has appeared in Smallville, currently in Brothers and Sisters. She became a U.S. citizen a couple of years ago, and now lives in Livingston, MT.
Sorry about flouncing off before-I am at work and can't remember my password so I am using my name.
It's Titus, hi how is everyone? How are my republicans doing this afternoon? Really it is me Wisconsin, NYC, cheesecurds, fabulous clothes, lot of sex, fish fry, bad spelling etc.
I have noticed after reading many of the postings and seems like I am kind of hated here and it actually scares me a little.
Just one correction Althouse, Palladian has said many nasty things to me before this prior email comment section. You should check through the comment sections when he calls me loathsome, vile, disgusting and a he/she/it. Not that I care-really, but what is good for the goose is good for I can't remember the saying but someone else.
Anyway,I could give a shit about Hilary Clinton and this picture. As I have stated before to my fellow republicans I did vote for Romney while in Mass and Giulani while in NYC. I sound like Ann reminding her readers she isn't a republican.
Now I have to attend a very important meeting where I am presenting to the president of my company why we have to expand the sales force by 70 employees in our renal division. Wish me luck.
Lastly, because I know you all care. I am wearing a black (fine pin stripe) suit by (gag) Brooks Brothers, light blue shirt by Banana (tailored with french cuffs and silver cufflings), tie by Perry Ellis (solid Silver) and of course Prada shoes (staple as I have always said, must have the Prada shoes)-you heard it from me. My smell is Aveda soap. No cologne ever-it is gross on men period. Weekends no deodorant I want to smell like a man and I want to smell a man.
Now for those of you who commented about my short shorts. I actually don't wear shorts...ever. You have me mistaken for a stereotype. Yes my clothes are fabulous but they are tasteful. I wear tshirts and sweats or jeans on the weekends/workout pants always.
By the way I love flounce, it is so dramatic but yet a little gay and a little degrading and with a tynge of homophobia. I like that and I can tell you what me to stay don't you? Tell me.....
Michael/Titus: You know I like you, but I don't want you to upset Palladian so much, especially in a post that is basically all his. He's been one of the best -- in fact, probably THE best -- commenter in the whole history of this blog, going back to way before your time. You can argue with him, but you went too far.
From Blame Bush! three weeks earlier.
"Kudos to Reuters, CNN, the AP, and other esteemed news outlets for upholding the high journalistic standard of ALWAYS photographing Hillary either in Susan B. Anthony profile, or boldly gazing into the horizon as if bravely greeting the dawn of a brand new day.
"It's no easy task getting shots of her such as these, either. The angle requires kneeling down at her feet, and there's always about 5 or 6 photographers from the New York Times already down there."
My pleasure, Tully.
I bummed. I am not Althouse's favorite gay.
I'm always the girls favorite gay. This is outrageous.
I am thinking of doing a photoshop as Obama in Nazi gear and god forbid maybe even having to bite the bullet and go to a meet and greet in...gulp...Brooklyn-but that may be pushing it.
My life is anonymous and I don't think I could bare to have to socialize with other people....I'm thinking...about it.
I have got to win her over. I want favorite commenter status.
I always wonder if Boris Yeltsin had Bill's KGB file in his top drawer.
Socialism: "We're going to take things away from you for the common good."
Democratic Nanny State: "We're going to take things away from you for your own good."
Neo-Cons: "We're going to take things away from you just because we want them."
Sorry if I posted too much today, but I have been hanging out in the back of my wife's store while they film a TV show and I am bored out of my balls. All the best.
What's wrong with leftists anyway? I mean, I'm just as critical of Habermasian consensus as the next modified liberal, but can't we be more precise in our bashing of "left" vs. "right"? How helpful are those labels anyway? (e.g. it's moderately helpful, though not much less generalizing, to have the modifier "repressive" for "conservative," but I noticed that you have no modifier for "leftist"). Not to pick apart your semantics, but I'm just curious what your definition of leftist is...
p.s. the photo rocks!
If anyone can deny that a person that studied Marx in college many years ago and still follows his teaching is a far leftist is a fool and Shrillary is just that person.
I would be interesting to read Shrillary's paper on her love affair with lennoism.
