So far there's only been two posts, but if you were to extrapolate based on those two points (Senate and Homer), I'd take three guesses.
1) Pricks 2) Circle Jerks 3) Idiots
Any of those three would fit the stupidity that was the 'all night' session. And what stands out most with the Homer post isn't the donut.
There were moments of humor during the late night session, Coleman, Sessions and McCain set up their speeches almost like a late-night infomercial for the Surge.
Clinton was the only Democrat I caught, she's not at her best at 4AM.
Defending the Surge isn't the stupidity, Majority Leader Harry Reid and his idiotic belief that this all night extended circle jerk would be seen as anything but a stupid stunt is what I have a problem with.
It was Sen. Barrasso's first opportunity for an extended speech on the Senate floor, he acquitted himself well. Though his 'I'm an MD, so I'm used to odd hours' posturing was a bit much.
One sentence posts? Maybe, minimalism can be a worthy goal in communication: succinct, to the point, no wandering. Perhaps some might be interested in Mike Davidson's proposal. He is vowing to keep email messages to five sentences or less.

So far, it seems to be "scenes containing people and round things."
Fen's Birthday theme.
Please post lots of erotic flowers for me :)
Between Homer and the Congress, I'd say it's Phallologocentric Wednesday at the House of Alt.

There's a really good joke in there, but I'll take the high road.
Be consistent.
Someone who doesn't acknowedge Holidays ....now wants themes?
Does this story fit today's theme?
Narcissism?
But then I’d have a hard time saying why today is any different.
Lameness?
Same objection.
So I’m going to go with jealousy. It seems to be your defining characteristic. Not just today, of course, but still….
One sentence posts.
Since XWL mentioned Circle Jerks...
When the Shit Hits the Fan, by The Circle Jerks
In a sluggish economy
Inflation, Recession,
Hits the Land of the Free.
Standing on an employment line.
Blame the government for hard times.
We just get by, however we can.
We all gotta duck when the shit hits the fan.
Ten kids in a Cadillac,
Standing in line for welfare checks.
"Let's all reach off the state."
"Gee the money's really great!"
We just get by, however we can.
We all gotta duck when the shit hits the fan.
Soup lines.
Free loaves of bread.
Five pound blocks of cheese.
Bags of groceries.
Social Security,
Has run out on You and Me.
We do whatever we can,
Gotta duck when the shit hits the fan......
