This flower is trying to tell you something...
But what? Lighten up. Enjoy life. Pay attention. Notice things. Yellow! Yellow! Have you thought enough about yellow in your short span of years? And...
Oh, no, it's the asteroid! We're doomed!

Really? The flower was telling me something different...
There's always a damned comet to come and ruin everything.
I say we throw things at the asteroids, call them fatty, and not invite them to your next birthday party.
If you reverse the order of the pics, Ann, you’d have a mind-blowing close-up of the primordial Big Bang followed by the full bloom of Consciousness. Amazing what cams can capture these days.
nice
Susan oughta ditch that guy who keeps giving her black eyes.
The plant is talking to insects and its saying, "land here".
The flower is telling me I'd rather look at classic cars.
When that giant flower hits planet Earth, there will be no happy Flower Power®. There will be no Summer of Love®. But there will be a post-apocalyptic pollen count from hell.
There will be no Screamers. But there will be a law professor with a screaming problem.
Aaah-choooooo!!!
Van Gogh called yellow "visual feeling" and said it was the color of faith, triumph or love.
Shame he couldn't hold that thought long enough to not shoot himself.
Yes, a shame. VG could brilliantly find packets of color and swirls of dynamism where most only perceived the pat and static. Super brights do tend to self-destroy and take with them the potential of so much more. Everybody's loss.
And yellow is such a happy color.
Yellow is the color of capitalism. More right-wing deviation.
Jane, yes, it's almost like he just couldn't contain himself--literally--and had to have some rest.
OMG it's one of those Busby Berkeley musicals, like here:

That ddoes look like a flower. Pretty erotic, too--Busby, tsk tsk--
I am curious -- yellow.

This is one of my favorites. :) I so enjoy summer gardens in Althousiana!
I love the second pic (and not just because I'm an astronomy nerd). It's got a bigger penumbra than the Bill of Rights.
Eh, I tried.
Btw, did you take this in front of the Terrace? I just saw some planters there with these today.
They're in a planter in front of a store on Monroe Street.
