That's a Chinese cookie fortune I got yesterday... that by its own force immediately came true. Ever get one like that?

Hey, whaddayaknow! We had Chinese last night, too.
I always keep my fortune cookies ticker tapes (I'm unusure as to the correct nomenclature. It's that or 'bit of paper').
Mine from last night said:
Genius is eternal patience
On the reverse side, it said, "Learn Chinese -- Peng-you/Friend".
As to the fortune in the cookie, I'm afraid that will be borne out today, if you post another Obama/Hillary/Liberman thread.
And I'm not tellin' what my lucky numbers were. I'm superstitious.

I once got one that said "Beware the Peter Principle".
I've had a couple that I thought were somewhat insulting:
"Please follow more cautiously life's golden rule"
Translated: stop being such a jerk.
"Co-operate with those who have both know-how and integrity"
The "because you have neither" is merely implied.
When I was dating my first husband, we both got the same fortune one night: "You will marry your present lover and be happy." It was only true for a few years, then we both ditched. (Moral: Don't get married while you're still in college and don't have a clue what you're doing with your lives.)

Once, I got a blank Chinese cookie fortune.
Strangely enough, it was right.
The day after I found out I was not selected for a job that I thought I wanted very badly, my fortune cookie said "We would often be sorry if our wishes came true."
And the fortune cookie was correct.
Did we all eat Chinese yesterday? Mine said, "Others take notice of your radiance." I pinned it to the bulletin board over my desk, but no one has noticed.
(Moral: Don't get married while you're still in college and don't have a clue what you're doing with your lives.)
Or, "don't pay attention to fortune cookies, if it's a very freaky coincidence, and thus you think it's kismet".
As for the "in bed", LOL! That works beautifully, Ruth Anne.
Genius is patience...in bed.

Did we all eat Chinese yesterday?
I thought Americans always ate Chinese on Friday nights?
Especially Jewish people ("Everything I know about America, I learnt in "The Shrimp and the Whale").
