While I have not had the chance to see it yet (I haven't been able to bring myself to), the people I know who have seen it would agree with the critics on this one.
Booo! I nominate Apocolypto for portraying indigenous peoples as other than tree huggers, whale petters and dolphin riders. How about that hog killing scene where the one guy bit into the nuts of the dead critter after it was gutted? Now that's environmental husbandry!
Alphie, I thought it was insurgent peasants resisting Bush in Iraq?I wish they would wear their Che berets to keep the Left on track.
"And ironic because the same NY Film critics are predominantly dues paying ACLU Lefties who think the biggest problem in the conflict with radical Islam is insufficient terrorist civil liberties and rights."
Yes, but after seeing this film, I bet they came away with an altered worldview.
Maybe that's why they like it so much.
One simply cannot watch this movie and not come away with a better understanding of the kind of people who want to turn America into the Land of Islam And Sharia ... a place where nobody is allowed to mock Mohammed and women are put in their rightful place - into a burka.
No question in my mind that it was the best film of the year. My best for the film was to imagine if it was fiction, would the film still be so good? I say, yes.
But I'll bet it doesn't even get nominated for Best Picture Oscar.

Excellent choice.
Actually cedar,
Not putting terrorists up at 5 star resorts is only the second biggest problem.
The biggest problem is the neocons seem to have spent 3000 American lives and $500,000,000,000 to turn Iraq in a trade school for al Qeada.
Borat should have won...

An excellent movie. It still might be too soon for some but Flight 93 is worth viewing.

I thought the soon to be Speaker of the House said there were no Al Queda in Iraq?

Did you see it, Ann? I don't remember if I read a commentary from you about it or not.

"Did you see it, Ann?"
I saw it in my head. It was quite vivid.
