This smackdown is the funniest thing since Borat, which I have not seen, but I understand it is very funny.
Rosie's shots are more polished than Donald's, but I think his are funnier because they are more like a kid's insults. It's stream of consciousness, everything but the kitchen sink stuff: "You're fat and ugly, and I'm going to steal your girlfriend, which will be easy, and Barbara Walters hates you, and I'm going to sue, and you're fat, and ugly too, and you are a loser, and nobody likes you, fatso." I was laughing all day at work and everyone thought I was high, which I was, but that was not why I was laughing. Watch the videos - hell, just read the transcripts - of Trump going off and try not to laugh.
Donald Trump is a treasure. I mean that. He is one of the most unintentionally funny human beings ever to walk the Earth.

I don't think he had to use derogatory language about her personal appearance, but I agree that she is an ugly person inside. Like most moonbats, she projects who she is on others. I would love to see the Donald appear on the show!
I think she nailed it: that whole Miss America "controversy" was staged to get Trump in the news before his next Apprentice season.
Two massive New York sized egos. She gets paid to blab and he puts himself up to it. They deserve eachother.
The fact that he thinks his money is somehow relevant is bizarre.
When billionaires and millionaires get into public spitting contests, all the PC stuff goes out of the window. He's ageist, sexist and lesbia-phobic.
Love it.
Goodness, but they do talk trash!
The fact that he thinks his money is somehow relevant is bizarre.
Well, he's a New Yorker, no? I recall we had a thread here once where we discovered that New Yorkers are a lot more, uh, open about flaunting wealth than most other Americans. Or, indeed, most other people.
Ah, my verification word is "meixn." Looks almost like "Mei Xin" - a name that would fairly invite O'Donnell to delight us once again with her so wonderfully sensitive "Ching chang chong ching chang chong" routine again. The bigot.
Hmmm, Rosie is a professional pain in the ass. At least Trump does things and creates jobs. And the contest is his. He bought it. That is what makes him the boss, he is the boss.
Trey
I don't really follow beauty pageant news, but I was kind of blown away when I heard that Donald Trump would decide whether a drinking binge and girl-on-girl kiss would disqualify the pageant queen. Maybe Rosie took her criticism too far, but I think there's a real absurdity there that Rosie was pointing out.
The whole thing, the pageant controversy and this over-the-top exchange seems just designed for self-promotion on both sides.
None of us has to listen to either one of them. We do because we find it an entertaining spectacle.
The video of Trump trash-talking Rosie is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. This fight is highly amusing.
Exactly what, I wonder, will Trump sue for? There is no character to defame. He should be paying Rosie for the publicity -- for all I know, he might be.
My guess is that Rosie is loving this attention, and so is Trump. This is not surprising from Trump, nor is it surprising from Rosie, whose obvious business models include staying in the news. What is surprising is the apparent lack of foresight from “The View” producers. Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears the “The View” might be becoming a one person show, and that person is relying upon shock and low-form humor for entertainment. It is likely working for now, as people have probably begun tuning in to see what Rosie will do next, but is it sustainable? I think not.
I agree with Shanna. They are both idiots.
For whatever reason, Rosie felt compelled to belittle Trump on national TV. You reap what you sow. Rosie has never felt the urge to hold in her true feelings, now it seems she has met her match.
In our screwy world it will probably make both of them a lot money.
Wait, so getting divorced several times over is immoral, but breaking the law by drinking under age is not?
So, you own and run a business and have no right to how the person representing your business behaves, especially when they have likely breached a contract covering previous, present and future behavior?
What, it's now wrong to allow your parents to pass down their wealth to you, and further, any additional wealth you create does not accrue to your credit?
Somehow I doubt Rosie would be so riveted if the woman in question had been smooching up guys during her partying moments. Ten bucks says Rosie is already calling the girl to arrange a sitdown on The View for an up close and personal.
Trump is a calculating and at times annoying publicity hound, but certainly not an idiot and subject to the bouts of verbal diarrhea that Rosie feeds us when her fat cheeks get rattled.
"Thing One and Thing Two... Thing Two and Thing One..."
Two dopes, cut from the same cloth, battling it out! Lurve it!
Donald Trump expressed himself: "I’m worth billions of dollars, and I have to listen to this fat slob?"
No. Of course he doesn’t.
He knows that.
But he does have to die.
Like all of us.
He knows that, too.
So does she.
But they’ll never let on.
Ha!
I just stopped in at the corner pub, enticed by the chalked sign out front: Stop in for a tasty holiday beer!
Rosie just gained major ground, if the reaction of the late afternoon patrons is a fair measure. The mute TV above the bar showed a split screen of Rosie and the Donald; when Rosie swept her hair over in a spot-on imitation of that awful thing that crowns his head, the bar erupted in applause and laughter.
Elizabeth: Not so fast there. You said Rosie was muted. I think the opinion might shift once they heard her whole comment.
But getting a laugh for Rosie is a good thing these days, I'll grant you.
clearly trump expresses his value system to a t. if you are worth a lot of money then you have social value. so conveniently he excludes the poor.
pompous ass.
ruth anne, no need to slow down. The people knew what they were laughing at, and they laughted because it was funny.
"Will no one rid me of this meddlesome Preistess of the PC?" is how I read Trump's remarks.
I prefer to go with turbulent, myself. Haha-- But O'Donnell is . . . not exactly a Becket figure here.
This is a tough one to get a handle on. Is Rosie fat? Is Rosie a slob? We need expert opinion to guide us here.
Finn Kristiansen: "Somehow I doubt Rosie would be so riveted if the woman in question had been smooching up guys during her partying moments."
Rosie..riveted? Nice one...
This may be staged, not sure.
But at this time of the year it's
a great diversion from the typical barrage of bad news.
Regards.
This clearly requires a televised cage match.
Oh, and ten bucks on Rosie, TKO in the second.
Blog adminstrator alert:
Oh, and... cliche, unintentional foul.
Fifteen yards and loss of down.
