Can't wait for the video! A few years back, when I was singing vox / playing bass in Tribe Called Mike we ended up performing most of the songs from the first Police album. On a whim, I rewrote the lyrics to "Born in the 50's" and changed it to "Born in the 60's". My favorite line:
And we screamed, When the Police sang. But Sting went solo and broke up the band, Oh, we should have known better...
I guess I'll have to post the whole thing on my blog.
Simon– Or it could be a reference to the Prozzak song aptly titled "Sucks To Be You" (They were a cartoon band popular for a couple months in the '90s that sung depressing lyrics to bouncy pop music).

I see that Weird Al has met quxxo.
I have seldom been so moved.......
Hey! How many songwriters will find a rhyme for "adequacy"?
Let's give credit where it's due here.
Never had a date/you couldn't inflate.
Now, that was a rhyme waiting to be born!
I was whining and the excessively bright son of a friend said with great false graciousness, "O Mr. Kenton, I know. It sucks to be you."
Nice to trace the allusion to its source.

Another movie??? Already!?!?!?
oppps, wrong Al.
Heh, I've always been a fan of Weird Al's-- how many other artists are exactly as relevant now as they were decades ago?

Well, the master of rhyming lyrics has to be Tom Lehrer. For example...
I'd offer a small quote as an example but there are too many good ones.
"And maybe we'll do
In a squirrel or two,
While we're poisoning pigeons in the park."
!!!
Tom Lehrer was WHACK.
Though, as a Yale graduate, "Fight Fiercely, Harvard" always brought a smile to my face.
