It was a lot of Rolling Stones today, and then some piercing gospelly stuff. I put in the earbuds and played Bach so I could get some work done. What I really object to is "world music," though. They'll inflict that on us often, perhaps because it goes with the notion of "fair trade" coffee, but -- oh! -- how I loathe that sort of thing -- especially if it has a peppy beat.
The color scheme--ochre and maroon--is what we used when we erected our first church building three years ago. The colors are really pleasant together.
It was cool to see the video. I like seeing and reading little pieces of life on folks' blogs.
Maxine: That has been my policy in the past, but some people take advantage. It's just a lot of junk. Many posts by the same person who tries to make the whole thread be about him. Tolerance hasn't worked. Anyone who's not happy with my limits can write on his own blog.
Gimme Shelter does still have cache and reminds me of how badly the Stones should retire already.
Video: I'm so used to viral videos now I half expect a waitress to fall down or a massive earthquake to cause the roof to cave in or some other tragedy minor or major.
Recently it has come to our attention, that many of your posts seem very angry. You express harsh verbal condemnation of other commenters that post here, and your over all tone has a negative affect.
Is everything going all right for you? Is there something you need help in achieving that perhaps the commenters here might play a role in?
We are hopeful this is just a temporary phase for you, and eagerly welcome you back into the nation of peaceful, thoughtful commenters.
Yes, yes unless a) owned by members of Al Qaeda or Americans that called members of Al Qaeda b) they have a jihadi heart, cake and sugar, feet of course, prefer Dewar's.
I appreciate Ann's editing of her blog, especially of this character. If you want to know what that particular commenter said, read one or two of her other comments (see Quxxo), but skip the thousands of others. She is a truly angry one trick pony.

This blog is not about you. Efforts to make it so will be squelched. Ditto efforts to talk about this harsh truth.
Got that Tom?
Fair Trade: Great atmosphere and good coffee. The music however makes me feel like I'm stuck in an early 90's aerobics class.
"early 90's aerobics class"

LOL.
(Short funny posts, why not stick to that, thingie?)
I agree--Gimme Shelter does have menace, whereas Midnight Rambler does not. Ironic?

Thanks, Mark. I talk about the new video thing on the new podcast (which is recorded but not up yet).
You know, Ann, every time you remove, (censorship) a comment is just makes everyone more curious. And, with my imagination......
You may be better off just leaving undesireable posts up, for exposition.
....Rather than be left with the much more lurid and tawdry scenarios that I'm imagining.
That's what censorship does.
Peace, Maxine

Whatever happened to : "Let your conscience be your guide" ?????
Peace, Maxine
I love it when you blog that way Ann.

It's an anti-war song you know. Ironic really.
Yeah, quxxo, like rain on your wedding day...
Yeah, I apologize for my post Slim, maybe Ann can summarize what I had said, apparently a bug in blogger keeps on disappearing my posts today.
But it really is an anti-war song, and not a song about sheltering from the sun with a summer latte in a coffee house.
"The Perfect Latte, it's just a shot away, it's just a shot away, ...." (Not one of the lyrics.)
You probably think "The Piña Colada Song" is an anti-war song, SS.
