Hey, what's happening?
Sorry, I've been traveling. I need to catch up on the Alito hearings and whatever else may have happened today. Checking my phone messages in the airport, I got in invitation to do Minnesota Public Radio during the lunch break in the hearings tomorrow. I called back and agreed, but wondered if there was anything exciting today. I was told no, and then said, playfully but idiotically, "Well, maybe things will blow up tomorrow." Then, I looked around to see if anyone heard me, half expecting the airport police to descend and drag me into a small room for questioning.

Good gravy, no matter what happens, Ann, please, no cavity-search blogging!
No more crowded theatres for you! Who knows what you might shout!
I just bought Posner's "Frontiers of Legal Theory". I figure it would be a good way to avoid doing my taxes - as I'm a year behind:-(
It is really starting to set in how great a victory Alito's confirmation will be for America, American values, and for freedom. Alito's nomination is a crushing defeat for the liberal agenda and the left's strategy to impose revolution on us through unelected judges.
Three cheers for Alito and the United States of America.
That's really odd Sloany, here everyone is telling me that teh d00d is a moderate. How can having a moderate on the court be a crushing defeat for teh left?
(I still wonder if you're not just a pre-release of SIM-Troll)
You lucked out on that one Ms. Ann - no iron bracelets and 3rd degree interrogation for being a suspected terrorist. I look forward to your continuing commentary on the Alito hearings. I struck up a conversation with a woman while we were both waiting to get the oil changed on our cars yesterday. They garage had a tv set and the Alito hearings were on. She said she was a Democrat and thought Alito would make a good enough SC Judge, but then added she didn't think he would get nominated because the Republicans were split over him. Go figure....I told her he looks enough like a Judge that they will forget their differences and vote him in. She said I was probably right.
Ann,
You can be sure here in Bushitler's Amerikkka that all of your blowing up talk on the telephone in an airport has been duly monitored.
... during Herbert Kohl's questioning yesterday, he asked Alito about the FMLA case. Alito, as far as I could tell, basically said the same thing you did in your post about it back in October: that the case he had was different from Hibbs, that his ruling was consistent with previous law, etc. I was a little surprised that he didn't actually give you any credit for his answer.
