I was quite amuseed when I first swung "early"---the penguin flew high in the air, and I thought "hey, I got a good one!" ... and then it landed.
And the resulting position of the flag adds insult to the penguin's injury :)
My best so far is 317.2. This game is dangerously addictive.
Maybe I'm going straight to hell for this (well, this and other things), but the first thing that came to mind when I finally got a good hit was Bill Murray's line from Caddyshack: "He got all of that one!"
I see your 323.5, but I can't raise you. I call.
OK, I propose a new challenge: how short can you go (and actually hit the penguin). I just hit 72 feet and now I want to see if I can go lower.

I guess mcg is my penguin-hitting rolemodel as I seem to be copying whatever he does.
To sound a bit geeky, i'd say it just reflects the programming that we're duplicating distances. There are probably a limited number of possibilities.
That would be interesting to map. If some sufficiently geeky person could write a little automated app. . .
Then again, that would probably border on being geekily obsessive.
I like how when you only tap the penguin and he slides on his tummy, he turns around to look back at the bear. I was also amused/appalled to see the blood seeping out from where the penguin's head used to be when he lands head-first.

I think that I need more resolution with my screen. I really missed all the blood.
Obviously, I am less coordinated than everyone else here. Most of mine are zeros, and then there is a jump to about 150 with a bunch at around 200, and a max of about 250. Not very good.
And yes, it is addictive. Will go back tonight when I have more time.
I was just relieved I didn't get the big red "ACCESS DENIED" message from 'the man'.

Please use the comments forum to respond to the post. Don't fight with each other. Be substantive... or interesting... or funny.
