This is actually a pretty excellent way to do the bird we haven't tried yet. <br /><br />We have done flavor injected, whole-fried turkey.<br />Unfried but injected Turkey.<br /><br />Had turkey, Wild duck & venison slow-baked and lightly smoked by cooking on buried hot stones. Native American style - Along with potatos, winter squash, sugar pumpkin, turnip, onions, carrots also cooked on buried coals for a day. (At a friends, and super-good. Yes, purists - carrots, onions and turnips are not native,,,but neither is butter, pepper, garlic, or, most importantly - most of us! )<br /><br />Brined turkey.<br />Done a hot turkey curry served like a stew with bok choy, other veggies, peanuts, and coconut milk for Thanksgiving.<br />Stir-fried turkey served to order.<br />We have had turducken.<br />Turkey done Mexican style.<br />Turkey done Russian style.<br /><br />But not "spatchcocked" turkey. Add that to our list of "to dos".<br /><br />Someone mentioned Titus. Hope he comments.
