You see that over Lake Michigan in August and September especially. But where the sun sets is East Capital St. so I've never tried for panorama. But you have to ask if the picture would be stronger with our without the moon + pole combination. Personally I think the pole kills the harmony of the scene in a way that the moon cannot compensate for.

Humans are good at filtering those things out of our perception but cameras are not, which is part of what makes photography both interesting and difficult to do well.

I would humbly suggest that you consult an almanac and try it again in a place that lacks the man-made junk, if you want to photograph a scene like that.

Or, you could just clone it out in PS as was suggested by Fernandistein. I did that often enough when I was using digital but when I switched exclusively to film I had to up my compositional game.Maillard Reactionaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07330041554892804405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-512470191609072312019-10-14T18:19:44.767-05:002019-10-14T18:19:44.767-05:00Char Char Binks said: "On this day in 1492, I...Char Char Binks said: "On this day in 1492, Indigenous Peoples did abso-fucking-lutely nothing of importance, just like all other days."

On the contrary: They performed a number of human sacrifices to keep the sun from going out.

Just like all other days.

Maillard Reactionaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07330041554892804405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-40890808956146849062019-10-14T17:47:34.149-05:002019-10-14T17:47:34.149-05:00Kinda makes 'em look like "Fake News"...Kinda makes 'em look like "Fake News"

ABC News Busted Creating “Fake News Propaganda” Surrounding Syrian Conflict…FullMoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07541560904252155570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-72137762076901579192019-10-14T17:21:50.573-05:002019-10-14T17:21:50.573-05:00Pfft.
