All that high harmony was him. He really elevated the songs. Other good bits. Mcguinn's 12 string was really impressive. And Gene Clark did some really good Beatlesque songs on the first album or two. Thinking of Here without You or You Showed Me(was outtake that showed up on pre byrds album) which later got into the Turtles hands. Very melancholic but pretty.<br /><br />jr565https://www.blogger.com/profile/06250384040393259866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-50816433979513395542015-06-27T11:19:36.022-05:002015-06-27T11:19:36.022-05:00"Ooh, I need your love babe/Yes, you know it&..."Ooh, I need your love babe/Yes, you know it's true" is pretty weak compared to "My weariness amazes me, I’m branded on my feet/I have no one to meet/And the ancient empty street’s too dead for dreaming."<br /><br> But the tune of the former kicks the tune of the latters butt so hard it had to say indoors for a month.jr565https://www.blogger.com/profile/06250384040393259866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-88201303888645217812015-06-27T09:10:38.373-05:002015-06-27T09:10:38.373-05:00@Ann Althouse
