It was boring as hell for a little kid, but my uncle told me he was going to take us to this great new place, a McDonalds drive restuarant. It was in Hempstead or Massapequa or something like that, I forget. Anyway, I will never forget. I had two Big Mac's a large fries, and apple pie and a strawberry shake. It was great. We sat in the parking lot eating in the car, a bunch of guineas just seeing the sights. When every one was finished we started to drive home. I made it all the way to Lynbrook before I puked that stuff all over the car, my family and the Belt Parkway.

IN STRAWBERRY!!!!!!

My first unhappy meal.Trooper Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01978703998566102194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-27633521941267143882008-03-19T18:01:00.000-05:002008-03-19T18:01:00.000-05:00The best ice cream is at a place called Goldsmith'...The best ice cream is at a place called Goldsmith's, in Missoula Montana. Tom thought that ice cream was the way to go so when his buddy and fellow equipment salesman Ray wanted him to invest in a little hamburger operation, he blew him off because he knew ice cream was it. The other guy was Ray Kroc and the hambuger store was called McDonalds.

I wonder if Donnie Duetsch would put that on his show.Trooper Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01978703998566102194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329595.post-39130507989608883502008-03-19T14:25:00.000-05:002008-03-19T14:25:00.000-05:00MM: Your comment about Coldstone Creamery ice cre...MM: Your comment about Coldstone Creamery ice cream is exactly right. It's awful, and way too sweet.

Of course, my preferences are forever skewed because I had a cone at Babcock Hall once each week for about six years.......

True story: My wife traveled to China in 1984, when travel in China was still a difficult proposition. She was walking in the Imperial City when an elderly Chinese man spotted the Wisconsin tee shirt she was wearing, approached, and in very broken English asked "Do they still sell ice cream at Babcock?"
