"The staffer complied, combing through voter records to produce a list of Dan Sullivans from across the state.... Dan S. Sullivan is the name of the state’s Republican senator. And if the Peltola campaign or its allies could track down and persuade another Dan Sullivan to run for Senate, the confusion could cost the senator crucial votes on the state’s unusual, four-person ballot.... This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.
The Peltola campaign has repeatedly denied any involvement in his candidacy. But The Times has found, based on interviews and text messages, along with documents prepared for a potential lawsuit against the campaign, that not only did Ms. Peltola’s team work with people trying to recruit Mr. Sullivan to run for Senate, but the effort was much broader. The group worked to coax other would-be spoilers into the race, to dilute the incumbent’s support and help catapult the Democrat to victory...."
The NYT exposes Peltola, in
"Inside Democrats’ Secret Effort to Stack Alaska’s Ballot/Operatives aligned with Mary Peltola, the Democratic nominee for Senate, spent months recruiting candidates to peel votes from Senator Dan Sullivan, the Republican."
That's a gift link. It's a long article, so check it out, especially if you're inclined to think the NYT is always just trying to help Democrats.

The left-wing future is not Blade Runner or anything even half as cool. It’s a global favela. Every inch of habitable space covered with low-rise concrete dwellings erupting like boils from the skin of the earth. Billions and billions and billions of stupid people.
Dems are doing all sorts of dirty tricks in Nebraska.
In the US Senate race, a woman won the uncontested primary and then dropped out. That was her plan all the time. The Dems didn't fill her slot after she dropped out.
There's a so-called "Independent" on the ballot by the name of Dan Osborn. He's really the Dem candidate but doesn't have a D behind his name.
Then there is the America First party. It was started by a Dem lawyer. Just started this year. The America First candidate for US Senate is Chuck Conboy who grew up across the street from me. To say he's not qualified is an understatement.
And the America First has a former state senator who used to be a Republican enter the race for Governor at the last minute and after he withdrew from the GOP primary for the House seat from Omaha. He's a spoiler to draw votes from GOP Governor Jim Pillen. This might work.
The Dems have to hide their true intentions and resort to deception and trickery to try to win. Their ideas are unpopular. And they can't steal votes in NE like they can in WI, MN and other states.
I'm disappointed that the NYT isn't allowing comments on this article. I was looking forward to the "it's fine when we do it" excuses.
The NYT also brays “Little Lula we love youla just the same, the same”.
The natural outcome of Ranked Choice voting schemes is the low-hanging fruit of gaming the system in ways just like this. You only have to look at the people promoting it to move immediately to this conclusion. Looking at you, Lisa Murkowski.
Tricky tricky tricky
What's next? Exploding pagers?
Just fucking learn a skill and do your job honestly.
Exploiting others cant be everyone's job.
"Inclined"? The NYT is a functioning organ of the gay race communist media operation as has been noted for quite a while. Having Wm F. Buckley on PBS for an hour a week didn't change the overall direction of the network or make it bipartisan, but that's how PBS tried to spin it and it's the same with the NYT here. If this example is the professor's rebuttal to what we've all read over the decades it sure is some pretty weak tea.
The Democrats talk about "voting rights" and do everything they can do undermine the process. They do not care about your right to vote, they only care about your right to vote for Democrats.
(After the Chesebro memo, the GOP doesn't have the moral high ground on this issue, so don't get me started. No one wants "clean elections" if it means the other party will win.)
And I think the NYT is most likely front-running to avoid being scooped, and trying to pre-bunk as hard as they can to minimize the damage.
Reminds me of Rush and 'Operation Chaos'
Nothing whatsoever is going to happen to the Democrat crooks who contrived and executed this scam. Nothing. Everyone knows this. The ever-feckless Republicans will protest, say that this was a really nasty trick, and grind their teeth...when the new Sen. Peltola is sworn in.
Why didn't the Repubs do exactly the same thing when they learned of this? Oh yeah, there is that feckless thing that the Republican putzes must always uphold..
NYT is proud. It’s a spike the football story. Why now I wonder?
Ranked choice voting has to be unconstitutional. I hope there is a case on this soon.
Alaskans aren’t stupid. Sullivan’s name appears on the ballot as “Sullivan, Dan S. (Registered Republican) Incumbent.”
And Alaska has ranked-choice voting, so anyone genuinely confused by the names could rank the two Dan Sullivans first and second. The whole strategy seems to overestimate how easily Alaskan voters can be confused and underestimate their ability to read a ballot.
The real Alaska story is the alleged sanctions breach by Trump family interests and Russia in developing the Polar LNG facility. This is just a distraction
That said -- my favorite place to ski in Alaska is at Alyeska Resort, in Girdwood, Alaska, you can ski off peaks overlooking the Cook Inlet, on some really steep runs when conditions allow. The remoteness and the Alaskan weather keep the crowds at bay, and there’s night skiing off the tram a few nights a week, which is magical.
https://www.alyeskaresort.com/
Yesterday when the media lapdogs questioned JD Vance about the DOJ lawsuit in Alaska, he made the point that the media should have done its job and reported on the Sullivan trickery. NYT likely had this ready to go in case the media silence was challenged.

Nothing in the Trump administration happens that doesn’t involve “the family” wetting its beak. Crony capitalism has been displaced by the Golden Age of Grift.
Leftist Soviet democrats are cheaters and liars.
“… if you're inclined to think the NYT is always just trying to help Democrats.” Hitting one home run doesn’t make you a “home run hitter.”
Hmmmm. So it's not just a "conspiracy theory." good to know.
What's the solution?
Indefinitely Extended Excursion™️ said... "Alaskans aren’t stupid."
Democrats are obviously counting on stupidity.
IEE 10:57: Resident troll says, “Look over there. No. No. Over there.” Notice that the Biden family of grifters have been relegated to the memory hole as has his failed presidency.
Althouse said..."especially if you're inclined to think the NYT is always just trying to help Democrats."
The NYT is a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. In this case, nothing can be done, so there is no risk to the NYTs to try and look "honest." This has been going on for months. Publishing this on 10/28 has zero real effect.
Wow, talk about an unforced error.
Skullivanduggery.
This comes from the same file drawer marked "As Election Day draws near." Pre-Election Day polls will invariably show huge support for D candidates. Until the end when the polls reveal a "tightening," soon followed by a "too close to call." Pollsters won't to preserve their thin veneer of impartiality.
So too here with the NYT. This trick, this outright below-the-belt shenanigan, is now so obvious that the NYT loses little influence in admitting it.
That is the trick that put John F. Kennedy into Congress in 1946. The name wasn't Sullivan then. If it had been it would have made things easier: Sullivan is one of the most common surnames in Massachusetts (and New Hampshire).
Is this like "At least Hitler made the trains run on time."?
Yes, congratulations NYT for doing your damned job for a change. But do you think most Democrats think this is really as terrible as it is, or actually worth it to win?
"Alaskans aren’t stupid."
The Peltola obviously thinks they are or they wouldn't have done it. What a shitty strategy.
"Alaskans aren’t stupid." Yes they are.
Exhibit A = Lisa Murkowski who is in her fourth six-year term as US Senator, preceded by a short stint as a US Senator by virtue of appointment to that seat BY HER FATHER.
It's an old Chicago political trick to split the opposition vote. A Democrat alderman will have a party hack run as well as the Republican opposition as a Republican.
It works as long as everyone is in on the grift. Once an Alderman ran his own opposition candidate but forgot to inform the guy he chose. The news interviews were hilarious.
"No one wants "clean elections" if it means the other party will win."
That's obviously something only the Democrats worry about.
What a dastardly scheme. If only Democrats had thought of this in 2024! Two candidates named Donald J. Trump. Foolproof plan.
Exposing this won't get a single Democrat to change their vote. I doubt it would get me to change mine either.
When every race is Hitler running against Mao or Bin Laden minds are made up.
"If only Democrats had thought of this in 2024!"
They did try to get him illegally removed from ballots, put in jail, and assassinated, so that would have been kind of redundant.
People asking why the Republicans didn't do the same aren't really thinking. Two reasons:
1. Peltola is a much rarer surname than Sullivan. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more Dan Sullivans in Alaska than all the Peltolas put together, not just the Mary Peltolas.
2. More important: Republicans still believe in competing on ideas, values, and character, not cheating.
That's obviously something only the Democrats worry about.
Sure, Jan.
Read the Chesebro memo and let's discuss. MAGA is 100% as big a bucket of puke as the Dems.
It's regrettable that political consensus has eroded so much. We're now a polarized 50/50 country, and outcomes can be determined by small numbers of confused or illegal voters. Things that would have seemed like silly pranks a few years back now credibly take on an aspect of cutthroat dirty politics.
Republicans love, love, LOVE to gerrymander and also pretend like they give a shit about clean elections.
Both parties will do whatever it takes to cling to power. Your team is as big a grifty piece of shit as the other team.
This is obvious to me and a few other unbiased commentors who are not on a "team." If you are still on a team, you are a retard. Most of you are retards.
Well...you know that the NY Times didn't just come across this information last night. They've had this, or could have had this information with the least amount of effort, months ago.
None of this should have ever happened, and if we had an honest media, they all would have been on this and the Dems would have been embarrassed into admitting and correcting.
As is, Alaska's early voting began on October 19- already 9 days ago. Votes are in. Again- none of this should have happened.
Let's go light on declaring the NY Times a brave publication for showing sliminess within the Democratic Party. It's like someone at a bar watching another person put a roofie into someone else's drink and saying nothing until reading about a rape a week later, then telling the public you saw it. A little late to prevent the crime, and you know it was.
Don't leftist get tired of getting lied to daily by the propaganda media?? People throw the NY Times in our faces like it is the gospel, and they have been caught so many times protecting Progressives and spreading conspiracy theories about the right. Both the NY Times and WAPO are jokes at this point, and not any more reliable than the National Enquirer.
[Shrug] When the NYT is printing the truth about a Democrat dirty trick, it means that (1) everybody already knows about it, and (2) the Democrat was already going to lose
If the NYT wants me to believe that they’re on the road to being an honest newspaper they’ll have start by admitting that they were in on the Russia-Russia-Russia hoax.
When the NYT gets ahead of the story, it's because the worse is yet to come. Then, it gets buried as old news.
That brings up the question of why? Why is the NYT's reporting on this? A cheap easy way to show they arent partisan D's - for once. Or do they not like Peltola for some reason.
BTW, the only reason this matters is that Alaska was stupid enough to put in "ranked voting". Without this stunt would be irrelevant.
BTW, liberal/left commentators always use a playbook.
1) If the R's do something unethical, scream bloody murder. Oy vey, what is the world coming to ? How could they stoop so low!
2) If the D's do something unethical, play the tough guy - "Both sides do it. That's politics baby".
They didn't ask Peltola directly? Two months of investigation and the primary person of interest isn't questioned?
Or did they ask and she lied and so they're withholding it.
And yes, there are comments and most agree - cheat harder!
The Democrats plan may not work for one important reason: If Peltola doesn't get 50% +1 votes on the first count, they start eliminating the 4th and then 3rd vote getting candidates. So if they get to the point where they start counting the votes of the people who voted for the other Sullivan as their first choice, there is a strong possibility that they also voted for the real Sullivan as their second choice candidate, too. (Because they were confused by there being two Sullivans on the ballot.) And that might be enough to get the real Sullivan over the top. And how many of the people who voted for the 4th rated person (Heikes) also picked Sullivan for their second choice? So at the end of the day, Peltola still needs to get 50% +1 of the votes to win. But this was still a dick move by the Democrats to try and confuse the electorate to get a win. (As opposed to getting a win by simply putting up the better candidate.)
Biden goes after Trump and tries to put him in jai. Thereby, breaking historical norms that have been in place for over 100 years. Liberal/left response: "No one is above the law. This is great!"
Trump goes after some Biden Officials. Liberal/left response "This is vengance. Something only Hitler would do. Our democracy is in Danger!"
After a while, one gets so bored with the liberal/left and their lies and fakery you just tune them out.
What else have the Democrats done to stay/regain power? 🤔
I hope Sullivan loses. He voted for Amnesty and didn't say boo when ranked voting was put in. He's always looked up the Lisa Murkey as his "Big Sister". IOW, he's another Republican Senator who's a clown.
And Lisa Murky just endorsed the Democrat for the Alaska Governorship. Oh well, I guess that's OK. She has (R) after her name. LOL.
I liked that IEE's answer to a Democrat dirty trick is, "It wouldn't work, so it doesn't matter." It reminds me of when the Democrat/media/troll response to anyone's noticing that Biden was suffering from dementia and therefore SOMEONE ELSE WAS GOVERNING THE COUNTRY was to cry ageism.
RCOCEAN keeps hoping Republican senators lose while pretending to be conservative. Riiiiiiiight
Trump and his minions still keep repeating “The Big Lie” about the 2020 election to this very day.
Kudos to the NYT for breaking this story.
I'm going to push back on one paragraph.
Ballot-stacking tactics are common in politics and generally considered legal — and have been employed by both parties in Alaska. But this operation, which has not been reported before, reveals the lengths to which Democrats went to seek advantage in a Senate race that could determine control of the chamber.
Fraudulent trying to confuse voters by recruiting a candidate with the same name as your opponent is not common at all. That's a serious attempt at fraud. There needs to be a hard smackdown of this, and a criminal investigation, I think.
From the FBI's website
"Intentionally deceiving qualified voters to prevent them from voting is voter suppression -- and it is a federal crime."
They are trying to suppress the Dan Sullivan vote by getting Republicans to vote for the wrong Dan Sullivan.
The first thing I would do is arrest the fraudulent Dan Sullivan. And then get him to roll on all the Democrats who planned this. Election fraud is a big deal. It's a basic violation of democratic norms and our right to vote.
Again, I am impressed with the NYT's willingness to print the truth, even as it harms their party.
“Republicans still believe in competing on ideas, values, and character, not cheating.”
Yeah, sure.
That brings up the question of why? Why is the NYT's reporting on this?
It's their job to report the news. It makes them seem fair and balanced. That's the point. No need for stupid cynicism about how they didn't like the Democrat nominee for the Senate in Alaska.
Even corrupt people are honest sometimes. And some people at the NYT aren't corrupt at all.
D.D. Driver (11:57am) claims to be one of the "few . . . unbiased commentators" here. Hahahaha!
And he claims that it's Republicans who are eager to gerrymander, apparently unaware that this is a belated response to decades of gross gerrymandering by the Democrats. I still recall the 1982 mid-term elections, where Democratic gerrymandering in California after the 1980 census got them 60% of the House seats (27 of 45) with only 40% of the vote, for a net gain of 9 seats in one state. And the Burton brothers, Phil and John, who did the deed, openly boasted about it.
One district was made of Marin County, a bit of the northern part of San Francisco - fair enough so far, they were connected by the Golden Gate Bridge - and a chunk of suburbs south of San Francisco, so you couldn't get from one part of the district to the other without driving through 90% of the city, or taking a long boat trip.
Other such ridiculous districts have been seen in Lousiana and North Carolina (where one connected parts of several large cities, with the connections being interstate highways).
To repeat, Democrats have been gerrymandering shamelessly for at least 45 years, Republicans started doing so in the last year or two, for self-protection. And D.D. Driver either doesn't know that, in which case he's too ignorant to post on the subject, or knows it and doesn't want us to know it, in which case he's too dishonest to post on the subject.
What the NYTimes reports in this story is quite literally a federal crime- fraud intended to deceive voters is criminally prosecutable under The Civil Rights Act. I challenge any of our resident lefties to explain to us how this isn't a an effort to deceive voters in the most direct manner.
I agree that this is shady unethical and wrong but is it illegal? What law would it break, even if the dems went out to recruit other sullivans?
John Henry
Inga thinks it's a "big lie" to see that five states only voted for Biden if you count the votes that were counted without any Republican poll-watchers in the room, and that the actual legitimate votes counted properly with the required legal safeguards went for Trump, and that that shows the election was in fact stolen.
Publishing this on 10/28 has zero real effect.
I think it's the basis for a criminal investigation in Alaska. I think they ought to arrest the Dan Sullivan who agreed "over some beers" to run for office to suppress the votes for the real Dan Sullivan. Scare the shit out of that guy, and he'll flip on the lawyers who advised him this was completely legal and above-board.
I think some attorneys ought to be, at a minimum, disbarred. And criminal investigations into whether they were trying to fraudulently confuse voters.
The point is not in regard to this election. Arresting Sullivan for election fraud could easily backfire with the voters. We want to the FBI to punish the crime, not influence the election. It's not just this election, but future elections and election integrity. Trying to confuse the voters to suppress their votes is a crime.
As for why this is in the NYTimes- I suspect someone in the Peltola campaign has been subpoenaed and they know they have broken a law in a jurisdiction without a guaranteed Dem jury or judge and a law that carries serious prison time, so the campaign is trying to get out ahead of the story so they can set the narrative. Also, quite likely someone far less friendly was about to report the same details.
Are D's testing hypothesis that R's are stupid? Will know results on 11/4th
By the way, five states stopped counting simultaneously, sent the Republican poll-watchers home while pretending to go home themselves, and then went back to counting without them.
This can't possibly be a coincidence. So who made the phone calls? Or was it prearranged? Was there an agreement that if Trump was ahead nationally at 11:00pm, any state where he was ahead, but not by too much, would get rid of the Republican poll-watchers and continue counting without them. WHO MADE THE DECISION? And why don't we know? It's been almost six years, and the fact that we still don't know how those five states coordinated their actions is deeply sinister.
In the AK governors race the top two vote getters were Democrats. The # 2 Dem dropped out and so you have one strong D versus three weak R’s. Scuttlebutt is that coordination was preplanned and an open secret among the two campaigns
Reminds me of Rush and 'Operation Chaos'
What a dumb comment. Urging voters to vote in their opponents primary is completely legal. Among other things, Rush said this out in the open, on his radio show. The Democrat rats lied, lied, and lied about what they were doing.
John Henry, just search for Douglass Mackey.
It's wrong and stupid for the DOJ to wait and see if the real Dan Sullivan wins the election. It's not about who wins this election. That's the political response. It's about a crime that was committed in the course of trying to obtain federal office. That's the legal response.
Here (link) is a post from Election Law Blog last June explaining why Dan J. Sullivan should have been removed from the ballot. Lots of interesting details, such as the fact that he tried to file as Dan S. Sullivan (the incumbent's exact name), though his middle initial is J, and that he'd never been a Republican.
https://campaignlegal.org/update/trump-administrations-attempts-get-sensitive-voter-data-threaten-rule-law
“Beginning in the spring of 2025, the DOJ embarked on a sweeping effort to demand highly sensitive voter information — including dates of birth, partial social security numbers and driver’s license numbers — from almost every U.S. state. When states and election officials refused, the DOJ sued more than half of all states and Washington, D.C., for access to this data.
These demands are about far more than just access to voters’ sensitive information. They are part of the Trump administration’s dangerous and misguided attempt to assert authority over elections that it does not have. The Constitution is clear: The states and Congress have the power to set the rules around our elections, not the president or the executive branch — including the DOJ.”
Social Media Influencer Douglass Mackey Convicted of Election Interference in 2016 Presidential Race
As proven at trial, between September 2016 and November 2016, Mackey conspired with other influential Twitter users and with members of private online groups to use social media platforms, including Twitter, to disseminate fraudulent messages that encouraged supporters of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to “vote” via text message or social media which, in reality, was legally invalid.
Fraud like this is voter suppression, and it's a crime punishable by 10 years in jail.
Outstanding link from Dr. Weevil at 1:05. Thank you sir!
Inga's leftwing link - do fuck off.
“ They do not care about your right to vote, they only care about your right to vote for Democrats.”
Even if you didn’t even know you voted.
My family was involved in Democrat politics for years in Philadelphia. Here’s what’s about to happen. I know this because it always happens.
Republican poll watchers will arrive at their assigned polling places and be told that there is something wrong with their credentials. They will need to find a judge to correct the problem. Unfortunately, no one will be able to find a judge. Voting will continue anyway. Finally, they will find a judge but he will be dining in Atlantic City. It’s always Atlantic City.
The judge will arrive late in afternoon and correct the “problem”. Unfortunately, voting has been proceeding all day with no Republican observers present.
Stay tuned for part two which I will drop on Election Day. We’re not done yet.

Oh yes, Republicans Gerrymander! How dare they? Remind me how the New England States vote ~40% Republican yet have ZERO Congressional seats.
After two terms of Trump, the bar for political outrage is buried. Election integrity has become a principle of convenience.
“I think some attorneys ought to be, at a minimum, disbarred. And criminal investigations into whether they were trying to fraudulently confuse voters.”

Igna, I have witnessed first hand cheating in the 2020 election in State College, PA. So take the “No cheating” babble and stick in your ear.
Blue State Hell Secretary of States refuse to let anyone clean up the voter rolls filled with ineligible, double, illegal the dead or those who have moved.
Gee? We wonder why we get crap BS like Inag's BS link.
This wouldn't happen if everybody just ran on their Social Security number.
“I think some attorneys ought to be, at a minimum, disbarred. And criminal investigations into whether they were trying to fraudulently confuse voters.”
Ken Chesbro
He was prosecuted, Inga. So you agree with us that these crimes in Alaska ought to be investigated by the FBI?
Inga studiously ignores the Time magazine article which laid out in detail how Democrats and their allies used the "covid emergency" to unilaterally rewrite election laws to permit unsupervised drop boxes, eliminate all voting integrity matters, and all of this was openly declared as an attempt to make sure Trump couldn't win. The same "Covid emergency" that every Democrat politician ordered the "peons" to obey but promptly partied and showed they didn't believe it was an emergency.
So yes, Democrats openly and have admitted they conspired to use "emergency powers" to steal the 2020 election because they openly changed the laws and broke them to generate more "votes" for Democrats.
You realize that "Republicans commit crimes too!" is not an effective defense strategy at a criminal trial, right?
"Beginning in the spring of 2025, the DOJ embarked on a sweeping effort to demand highly sensitive voter information — including dates of birth, partial social security numbers and driver’s license numbers — from almost every U.S. state. "
The idea that voters should get to keep their identity secret is outrageous. Just how are we supposed to limit voting to those who are eligible?
Who you vote for is rightly secret. Who you *are* is not.
Again, I am impressed with the NYT's willingness to print the truth, even as it harms their party.
It's a fake confession after the truth has already been exposed.
Inga, take a page from the NYT classy handbook and acknowledge, for one frickin' day, that your party committed fraud in Alaska.
It also involved the Peltola campaign’s lawyers, as well as senior aides at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which directs the party’s campaign strategy in Senate races across the country.
This Sullivan scam artist literally lied to the election officials and claimed that his middle initial was the same as the real Sullivan. The officials discovered his fraud and made him use his real initial. But I say his fraud attempt in and of itself should have kept him off the ballot.
Inga is proud of elected Democrats who, right now, are going on Somali TV to tell Somalis how to commit election fraud. "You can bring friends and not show ID and vote up to 8 times! Please do it!"
Inga says this is absolutely fine and dandy and we should do more of it. IEEE says "ok, that's bad but we should be concerned that Trump's family passed gas back in 1980! REEEE!"
“So you agree with us that these crimes in Alaska ought to be investigated by the FBI?”
Yes, but don’t keep pretending that the 2020 election was “stolen”.
Maybe the NYT wanted to embarrass the shit out of The Hill
Trump had his day in court, dozens of times. He and his allies filed 62 lawsuits challenging the 2020 election. They produced no court finding of widespread, outcome-changing fraud. Even judges appointed by Trump rejected the claims. At some point, “election integrity” requires more than repeating the accusation after the evidence fails to materialize. If every court that rejects your case is part of the conspiracy, you don’t have an argument that can be tested. You have a belief system that can’t be falsified.
Oops - Title 52 of the US Code (2) knowingly and willfully deprives, defrauds, or attempts to deprive or defraud the residents of a State of a fair and impartially conducted election process,
Yes, but don’t keep pretending that the 2020 election was “stolen”.
To me, the most damning evidience that the 2020 election was stolen was how the Democrats tried to steal the 2024 election. Including 88 phony felony charges against the Republican in the race, and an attempt to keep him off the ballot in Colorado. And, in general, all the fear the Democrats had that Trump would try to run again. Who is afraid of a loser trying to run again? Nobody. It was their fear and desperation in 2024 that convinced me the 2020 election was rigged.
Note also how the DNC tried to fraudulently hide Biden's medical condition from everybody, including Democrat primary voters. Any Democrat who is mad that Trump got reelected in 2024 ought to revisit the clusterfuck of dishonesty that was operating in the DNC that year. That was another fraudulent election attempt (albeit not a criminal one). They've been sketchy in multiple campaigns, including 2020, 2024, and 2026. I feel like their TDS has unhinged them and made them commit frauds and crimes.
I'm hoping the Democrats will normalize in 2028, because their party apparatus is completely off the rails.
Inga, I am happy to hear you are admitting that your party engaged in election fraud in Alaska in 2026. I appreciate the honesty from my favorite leftist commentator here at Althouse.
Yes, IEEE: How many of those court cases even let Trump and his allies submit evidence without Democrats filing 'Trump doesn't have standing to challenge vote fraud because he lost and Republicans never ever get to have a day in court!" arguments?
The vast, vast majority of court cases never allowed one shred of evidence.
Politico also embarrassed.
This is like that time Stalin made Trotsky look bad. The NYT just gave liberal media an ice pick in the eye!
The Hill is still shitting all over themselves
The useless rag is regurgitating the lies from the Peltola campaign. You're busted!
The Hill manages to overlook the criminal aspects of this fraud complaint. It wants to change the story to "ballot stacking." That's not the fraud. The fraud is going around the state trying to find all the Dan Sullivans you can find in the hopes of recruiting some leftist genius named Dan Sullivan to run a campaign in the hopes that people will make a mistake and vote for him, thinking they are voting for the real Dan Sullivan. The fucker even lied about his initial on his application forms, trying to make himself into a perfect clone candidate. This blatant fraud is so bad, even the NYT speaks out against it. The Hill is lost and wandering around, clueless and in a stupor.
And the fucking DNC says they had "no involvement" in the recruitment of the other Sullivan. In essence, the DNC is acknowledging that there was recruitment, they just weren't "involved" in it. Implicitly the DNC is acknowledging they knew all about it! Just like the NYT reported.
Really bad journalism from the second tier of liberal journalism. Third tier? Fourth tier?

I'm disappointed that the NYT isn't allowing comments on this article.
I think comments were turned them off because too many Democrats were praising the operation.
There's also a lot of attempts at deflection by our liberal trolls. So...
1. This has nothing to do with Trump.
2. It was sanctioned by the Peltola campaign and the DSCC.
3. They went so far as to use fake names to hide their deception.
4. Operation Chaos was not sanctioned by any campaign or party, and Rush was very clear about his intent (you know, like saying it out loud on the radio).
5. It doesn't matter whether it would be affective or not. The problem is that it was done at all.
If you want to say both parties will do anything to win, fair enough. We can have that discussion when it actually happens.
On the positive side for Democrats, at least the DNC is now actively trying to commit fraud against Republican voters.
Back in 2024, the DNC tried to commit fraud against Democrat voters, in a sham primary designed to hide the medical condition of one Joe Biden. That shitshow was so bad, the Democrats were forced by their own voters to remove their nominee. And they were forced to put up a candidate who received no primary votes whatsoever for president.
The 2024 election has set the record for political fraud committed by a party in an election campaign. Yes, the fraud to derail Trump was insanely bad. But don't forget the fraud the Democrats committed against their own voters!
By comparison, the 2026 campaign fraud is like Nixon stuff. It's traditional fraud. Unlike the 2024 campaign, which is like a plot from The Twilight Zone. Auto pen? You fuckers.
Been reading comments on my local paper of Democrats screaming how "we need to vote for moral people like Talarico and not Paxton!" The same people who tell us we need to vote for "I married my brother!" Omar and tell us "We have to vote for the Democrat even if he wants to kill Jews like me because it's important!" But we are supposed to be concerned that the Bush republicans accused Paxton of corruption. "REEEE adultery!! Paxton!! no one should ever vote for adulterous candidates! Now come to the Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy memorials, the greatest people ever!"
""We have to vote for the Democrat even if he wants to kill Jews like me because it's important!"
Once again, I am going to say that I don't think that you know any actual Jewish people. Because most of them don't believe that the only way Israel can be safe is if all of their neighbors are dead and that they maintain an apartheid state until all of the Arabs, who have lived there for thousands of years, are gone. If you believe that the only way to keep Israel safe is to kill all of its neighbors, then I guess I can see your logic in believing that anybody who does not want to kill all of Israel's neighbors wants to kill all of the Jewish people in Israel, but that's just a belief that has been propagandized into your head.
Hitler had a thing about a ""Thousand Year Reich" that was sort of based on the same principle.
Jaq, I was actually quoting the words of one of the top Democrat officials in Minnesota, who was telling Jews to vote for Abdul Al- whatever his name is, even if it might cost them their lives because Muslims want to kill Jews. That's her words, not mine. She wasn't talking about Jews in Israel at all. She was talking about Jews right here in the good ol' U S of A, in danger from Democrat candidates. I suppose you support Abdul Al-whomever he is because he hates Jews too, and is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and blames Israel for the price of eggs.
And I'll wager that you have zero to say about Hamas' open goal to exterminate all the Jews in israel, despite them also living there for thousands of years. That's a genocide you are fully behind, right? You certainly never, ever criticize Hamas for its stated goals.
"and that they maintain an apartheid state until all of the Arabs, who have lived there for thousands of years, are gone."
Twenty percent of Israeli citizens are Arab.
I'm sure you have a retort for this. Just wondering what it is.
Original Mike:
I've read, and after some calculation believe it is true, that there are more Muslims living (and voting) in Israel than there are Jews living in all the ~50 Muslim-majority countries in the world put together. So who exactly is running 'Apartheid' states?
An Arab in Israel can do anything a Jew can: be in the government, be a cop, a judge, an equal. A Jew in Gaza isn't even allowed to breath the air. All the people in both places are lucky that the ones who could commit a genocide don't want to, and the ones who want to can't.
The NYT comments must have been hilarious for them to shut it off. “How dare you report the truth to me. Cancel my subscription!”
On the positive side, so far nobody is blaming the Jews.
I’ll bet the journalist is getting the silent treatment in the NYT cafeteria.
"Any Democrat who is mad that Trump got reelected in 2024 ought to revisit the clusterfuck of dishonesty that was operating in the DNC that year"
Not just the DNC, and not just in 2024. As I'm heartily sick of pointing out, Biden WASN'T SERVING AS PRESIDENT in 2024 - at least. By my own observations, he wasn't serving as president for pretty much his entire term, though perhaps he had more lucid moments than not in the first year or so: postmortems indicate that his "advisors" were working to keep him the hell away from governing beginning just a few months after his inauguration, because he couldn't be counted on to do as they "advised" and the public might tumble (faster) to the fact of his progressing dementia. And the news media went right along with the gag, pretending that the elected Chief Executive was actually, you know, executing any laws. Who the hell was running the country?
The Democrat party, the news media, and the Biden administration were all a "clusterfuck of dishonesty" from at least 2021 onward.
And I note, too, the recurrence of the "62 failed lawsuits" thing and am surprised that it wasn't accompanied by the "no recount showed an election-changing result" thing (which makes sense if you're counting official ballots, however they may have been cast or not cast, like paying for things using real albeit stolen bills rather than Monopoly money) or the "millions of votes and only 30 were found to have been cast improperly" thing (a finding of which Stalin would be proud), as they usually travel together. The major election interference in 2020 that absolutely cannot be denied is the very public deplatforming of the sitting president (and the private and often hidden deplatforming of Trump-supporting voices), and the concerted and coordinated effort by the news media to spin any news about Trump in the most semantically loaded, negative way possible, while actively suppressing reporting on the already-obviously-impaired Biden. Actual ballot fraud would just be the icing on the cake.
It’s a good thing the Sullivan Brothers from WWII (no illham Omar, not 11) are not still with us and living in Alaska, as one can only imagine the moronic Democrat fuckery there would be afoot.
"And I note, too, the recurrence of the "62 failed lawsuits" thing..."
Oddly enough, the people who say this is proof that fraud doesn't happen are deathly afraid of looking into allegations of fraud and fight tooth and nail every effort to do so.
If you truly believe it's not happening, you would be happy for investigations to go forward in order to prove that what you believe is true.
Why is the left afraid of an honest election, with voter ID? Because they don't think they can win one.
The Alaska Supreme Court already ruled on this case in June, affirming that Dan Sullivan, the retired teacher dubbed “Decoy Dan” in Republican talking points, is legally entitled to run for office. The principle is straightforward: sharing a name with another candidate doesn’t disqualify someone from the ballot.
Here’s the curious part: in 2014, the current U.S. senator, Dan Sullivan, won his seat while another Dan Sullivan was running for lieutenant governor. And that wasn’t the retired teacher.
So Alaska has a history of multiple candidates named Dan Sullivan appearing on the same ballot. How many Dan Sullivans are there in Alaska, anyway? Apparently, enough to make a perfectly legal candidacy sound like a conspiracy.

Ah, yes—the famous legal loophole where you can’t present evidence because you lost the election. Except that’s not what happened. Some cases were dismissed on procedural grounds; others were heard and found the evidence wanting. Judges aren’t required to hold a full trial to entertain every allegation.
“Not allowed to submit evidence” makes a much better grievance than “couldn’t substantiate the claims.” But they’re not the same thing.
If the left had ideas a majority of people support, they wouldn't have to resort to bullshit like this.
If the left had ideas a majority of people support, they wouldn't have to bitch about Trump all the time. They could explain how their ideas would make peoples' lives better.
But they don't and they can't. Socialists/communists need to hide their plans because normal people are opposed to them.
*Trump and his minions still keep repeating “The Big Lie” about the 2020 election to this very day.*
If you hadn't stolen the fucking thing, Trump would already be out the door. Instead, you gave him four years to plot his revenge, he kicked your asses in 2024 and he's doing it on a daily basis now.
Karma sucks, doesn't it?
But you deserve every bit of it. Good and hard.
I notice none of the people defending the integrity of the 2020 election has tried to answer my question: How was the simultaneous sending-home of Republican poll-workers in five states, as the Democratic poll-workers continued to count votes, coordinated? Who made the phone calls? Or was there a pre-arranged signal? And how can you believe vote totals when the votes counted with Republican witnesses watching were mostly for Trump, but somehow the votes counted without those witnesses present were skewed to Biden by just the amounts needed to give him a narrow "victory" in all five states?
Harold Ford, Jr. just copped to the “Socialist and Communist wings of my party”…
Throw these rotten corksoakers out of the U.S.!
if you're inclined to think the NYT is always just trying to help Democrats.
I am so inclined, so the article is a surprise. Anyone with more brain cells than a tadpole knew it was a Democrat play, but it is helpful for the NYT to do the research and publish the result, otherwise Democrats would never believe it. I'll bet a lot of Democrats still don't.
You’re long on insinuation and short on evidence. Asking a string of loaded questions doesn’t prove a conspiracy. Five states, secret signals and fabricated votes? That’s quite an allegation. Where’s the actual evidence? Suspicion isn’t proof, and rhetorical questions aren’t facts.
Great salmon and halibut fishing in Alaska, but the Democrats go catfishing.
The Michigan Supreme Court used to be full of fellows named Cavanagh and Kavanagh while the mayor of Detroit was named Jerome Cavanagh. Heaven only knows for whom people in Wayne County thought they were voting...although I think the regular Democrat organization knew.
"...although I think the regular Democrat organization knew."
They'd have to in order to properly mark the ballots they harvest.
The Begiches are also big in Alaska politics. It would be cool if the one who vanished with Hale Boggs in the 1970s plane disappearance could run for office again. After all, he's probably been voting all this time.
I want to presume for purposes of argument that indeed Alaska democrats looked around for someone named Dan Sullivan to run. And that they talked to their own proprietary Dan Sullivan, and he said to the Dems, "Hey that sounds like fun. I hate Trump, even though I don't have a whole lot of thoughts about our Senator Dan Sullivan. So I'll do it."
And then, the Alaska Democrats said, we can point you to a group of lawyers and strategists who can help you. At that point, we will be done with you. Understand we can't pay you, or arrange for payments to you or to any of your team. That's going to have to come from other sources. There will be no agreement between us, implicit or otherwise. You are on your own in this election, apart from our telling you about the campaign staff that can help you if you want to run."
Okay, Election Law class; issue-spot this hypothetical. Were any federal laws broken? Are any Alaska laws broken? Provide citations for any laws that were violated.
Anyone else old enough to remember that famous old Democrat excuse: "No controlling legal precedent" so it must be OK.
Chuck--I would not expect you to believe that fair play and the spirit of the American project in self-government are important. I am sure, though, that in your past as a practicing lawyer from time to time you told your clients not to do something that was legal but wrong. Take Abdul's the price of bananas advertisement or Vivek's "Amy's mama" ad. I heard Van Jones (to his great credit) denounce both on CNN. This Sullivan stunt--which comes out of some eighth grade level tactical thinking--deserves everyone's condemnation, including yours.
Yeah, it's a dick move.
And Chuck's take is, "it's not illegal!"
I do think the NYTimes helps Democrats. So my question for them (or you) is how long did they sit on this article?
These conspiracy theorists are not following the evidence to a conclusion; they've chosen the conclusion and recruited every suspicion to defend it. When contrary evidence becomes proof of the cover-up, you're no longer dealing with a testable argument you're dealing with a self-sealing belief system.
Democrats Doing Dastardly Deeds?
You people are pissed off that you're team didn't think of it first.
"Yeah, it's a dick move.
And Chuck's take is, "it's not illegal!""
Whatever it takes.
Your people don't know that, Howard. Maybe your opponents thought of it and decided not to do it. Because, as Original Mike said... "It's a dick move." Which, BTW, is why your people did it.
Okay. I foresee a really good little Althouse blogfight, so I am going to take things in small bites.

No, sport. I am not going to take "Abdul's the price of bananas ad. Because Abdul never had any involvement whatsoever in that ad.
That ad was produced by Cenk Uygur in 2024 in furtherance of his vanity presidential campaign which folded as quietly as it started. It was made without any contact of any time between Abdul and Cenk, long before Abdul ever filed to run for the Senate
It. Is. Not. An. Abdul. Advertisement.

Nice. I used to. In the era of Trump, I continue to care about the rule of law and the correct application of the law. And the equal protection of the law. And due process under law. Procedural due process. Substantive due process.
After that, I believe in ratfucking everyone and everything in "MAGA." Within the strict confines of the law.
Which brings me back to my challenge to Althouse's merry band of maga keyboard warriors. What laws were broken with "Dan Sullivan" in Alaska?
Chuck--who am I to question Van Jones on CNN?
"Original Mike said...

It's a Big Dick Move.

Okay, Election Law class; issue-spot this hypothetical. Were any federal laws broken? Are any Alaska laws broken? Provide citations for any laws that were violated.
Why did they do this, Chuck? What was the goal?
To suppress votes for Dan Sullivan and to fool his voters into voting for the wrong candidate with the same name. It's clearly fraud.
I give you the case on point at my link at 1:13. Fraud designed to fool voters into not voting for their preferred candidate. 10 years in jail, bitch.
Who thought of it first? Someone on Twitter, quoting Grok, mentions (link) a Florida state Senate seat where Republicans found another Rodriguez to run across the incumbent Rodriguez in 2020: the fake got 6,000 votes and the real one lost by 32. So both sides do it! But do both sides get away with it? The end of the Grok is "Several involved pleaded guilty to campaign-finance violations."
The Tweet also mentions that a "Republican activist" in Washington state found two Bob Fergusons to run against the Democratic incumbent Attorney General Bob Ferguson in 2024, but "they withdrew after legal pressure".
Looks like both sides have tried to do this, but somehow only Democrats are allowed to get away with it.
Finally, Twitter seems to be throwing out some of my links (too many?) but someone on Twitter has reported that the fake Dan Sullivan had to swear under oath that he was a Republican and was (I think) a genuine candidate, running of his own free will. Might he go to jail for lying under oath?
Inga, do you really, truly believe that Joe Biden* got 81 million votes, more than any presidential candidate in history? Because that is what you have to believe in order to think that the 2020 election was NOT stolen.
Peltola deserves to lose.
Dr Weevil, I think IEE raises a fair question about the evidence for the alleged five-state coordination. I agree that such an operation, if it occurred, would raise serious concerns. I looked into this a bit, but I'm having trouble establishing the premise.
FactCheck.org examined similar allegations in December 2020 and found no evidence of Republican observers being sent home while counting secretly continued in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, or Arizona.
Georgia is a somewhat different story. In Fulton County, observers left amid confusion about whether counting had ended for the night. Counting resumed after election officials instructed workers to continue, and some ballots were scanned before observers returned. But a subsequent investigation involving Georgia election officials, the FBI, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses. It found no evidence of fraud or conspiracy.
So I'm not sure there's a coordinated five-state operation that requires an explanation. Could you identify the five states you're referring to and point us to evidence documenting the alleged sequence of events in each? I'd be interested in examining it.
Election integrity deserves serious attention. But, let’s first establish that the alleged coordination actually occurred.
Can Democrats create a party called "the Republicans" and submit candidates named Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump on the ballot? The whole idea is insane. The Alaska Supreme Court screwed the pooch. Trump is right. NYT is right. You're embarrassing yourself by defending these liars and fraudsters. Why would you believe anything she says about anything? She's still denying it!
Chuck--weren't you an election lawyer back in your life-long Republican days?
Trump may be right about the Democrats dirty Dan Sullivan tricks
That's from the Times. Cut it out and put it in your scrapbook. Trump may be right! Amazing.
That's how stupid this was. You've got (some) liberal journalists nodding their head and saying DNC fraud.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
"The effort was allegedly led by a Democratic strategist called Jerid Kurtz from Ohio."
He's going to need to lawyer up. Arrest him!
"Saint Croix said...

No. Each and every state controls how persons obtain the sanction of political parties and most particularly, each and every state has rules requiring candidates to certify, ordinarily via a notarized affidavit, their identity before appearing on any ballot.
This would all be a mute point if President Trump didn't step on his tiny mushroom by invading Iran.
The economy would be growing twice as fast as it is right now and the Republicans would have easily kept the house and likely made gains in the Senate.
You people love playing the victim. You wallow in it like the sweaty patrons at a San Francisco bath house in 1978.
*This would all be a mute point if President Trump didn't step on his tiny mushroom by invading Iran.*
We invaded Iran? Wow.

ABC News is reporting that the DOJ has had an active criminal investigation into the Dan Sullivan fraud dating back several months.
Re: PW — Observers' departure: The evidence does not establish that officials ordered observers to leave. Investigators found that observers left as workers were winding down, believing counting had ended. Counting resumed after election officials directed staff to continue, and ballots were scanned during an interval when some observers were absent.

Over on Powerline blog:
"O’Keefe and Higby didn’t actually vote, and O’Keefe didn’t fill out the form that constitutes an oath that he is the registered voter he claims to be. But Moriarty is charging them with the crime of beginning the process that could have led to voting illegally, but didn’t."
People are apparently being charged by a Democrat County Attorney with asking questions about how to register to vote.
It reflects badly on how elections are run there, but they won't say that.
Republicans have brought suit in an FEC complaint.
“This wouldn't happen if everybody just ran on their Social Security number.“
Yes, but then every candidate would have 500 illegal immigrants using the number on job applications.

What they really mean is, they believe Trump is going to hold them accountable and not let them get away with their election fraud schemes.
They know something is coming. I think the Dems know Trump is not going to let them steal it, and then when Trump shuts it down, the Dems will throw a massive fit and claim Trump “stole” the election, when in reality, they are just cheating and got caught."
"It’s their only play really."
IEE never responded to the admission by Democratst that they used Covid, an "emergency" they never believed was an emergency, to order changes in election law that were not passed by the legislatures. To do stuff like set up unmonitored ballot drop boxes and eliminate all other election security. IEEE sez " there's no proof fraud happened counting the ballots!" Maybe he's right... the fraud happened when Democrats had unlimited access to stuff ballot boxes after changing the law to permit them to do so.
No. Each and every state controls how persons obtain the sanction of political parties and most particularly, each and every state has rules requiring candidates to certify, ordinarily via a notarized affidavit, their identity before appearing on any ballot.

Oh. So now we know how the NYT got the story. The DoJ leaked documents that they got under sbupoena, etc. Possibly grand jury info. The week before the election. Knowing that the ultimate criminal case was shitty, but hey let's get it out there. And just for the hell of it, release it to the Times!
Is the investigation being led by the same crack team that has prosecuted Jim Comey, Cassidy Hutchinson, Tish James, the Sandwich Guy, the Reflecting Poll Slasher, and Jerome Powell?
By the way: note that Chuck just admitted his goal is to arrest and jail and who knows what else to every "MAGA voter" i.e. 80 odd million people that Chuck wants to send to concentration camps. He's gone full communist.
Chuck here sees absolutely nothing wrong with what Brazil's Lula did: "Since you ran against me, as soon as the election is over I will have you arrested for your crime of opposing a leftist!"
Donald Trump calls for Alaska Democrat to be banned from Senate race ~ WSJ
Trump should have taken it up with the Alaska Supreme Court back in June, when the issue was litigated and the court ruled. It apparently wasn’t a national emergency then. Why the sudden outrage now, just days before the election?

He IS NOT on the ballot as Daniel S. Sullivan. The real Senator IS on the ballot as "Senator Daniel S. Sullivan (Republican) - incumbent."
Tell us everything you know about how the unknown Dan Sullivan commited fraud. I'm aware that some Alaska election clerk states that at some early point, the unknown Dan Sullivan asked to go on the ballot as "Daniel S. Sullivan," but that nevere happened. I presume -- and this is the most obvious presumption in the history of presumptions -- that at some point, unknown Dan Sullivan was directed to swear to his identity and rather than commit fraud, he executed election registration documents with his real name, and asked (as is common in most states) to use a shortened version of his legal name. "Dan Sullivan." His actual middle initial is J., as has been widely reported.

I'm a lot less happy about what happened with Bolsonaro Junior. An international gangster with dual Brazilian and Italian citizenship fleeing to the United States while evading interpol, and allowed into the U.S. by a corrupt Administration.
So now we're allowing illegal alien criminals in as long as they please the President's party?
See what I did there?
So Flávio Bolsonaro joins the long list of autocrats and would-be autocrats sheltering in the U.S., hoping a U.S.-backed coup or war will pave the way for their return to power.
Just like Pahlavi.
Is Howard drunk or just subliterate - "you're people" (6:08pm), "mute point" (6:37pm)? It's "moot point", damnit!
He IS NOT on the ballot as Daniel S. Sullivan.
Yeah, dipshit, the election officials did not allow him to do so. That's what he TRIED to do.
"That's what he TRIED to do."
Well, you can understand how he might be confused. Democrats often forget their names. And marry their brothers.
I'm aware that some Alaska election clerk states that at some early point, the unknown Dan Sullivan asked to go on the ballot as "Daniel S. Sullivan," but that never happened. I presume -- and this is the most obvious presumption in the history of presumptions -- that at some point, unknown Dan Sullivan was directed to swear to his identity and rather than commit fraud, he executed election registration documents with his real name
We certainly know that he attempted to defraud the people of Alaska. We also know that the whole idea behind his candidacy was to confuse and suppress the voters who wanted to support the actual Dan Sullivan. He was recruited specifically for his name, and no other reason.
In any event, I have no doubt that he will be arrested and charged with crimes. The smart play for this "school teacher" is to flip on the sketchy fuckers who recruited him to interfere with the 2026 Senate election in Maine.
Republicans have tried this move before, and they were also caught and indicted. These are stupid arguments you are making, Chuck.
Speaking of "autocrats and would-be autocrats", and indicted sons of autocrats, does IEE know about Lula's son?
"A luxury rental and three investigations: How Lula's son's lavish lifestyle in Spain is rocking the Brazilian presidential campaign - Fábio Luís Lula da Silva resides in an exclusive complex in La Moraleja, an affluent suburb of Madrid, where monthly maintenance costs are estimated at 5,800 euros (approximately $6,760), while the Brazilian Federal Police investigate his possible involvement in three influence-peddling cases. His defense team denies any wrongdoing." (link)
Are the indictments of Bolsonaro Junior fraudulent payback for the well-deserved indictments of Lula Junior? Apparently he's never had a job that would pay one-tenth of what he would need to live in the same neighborhood as all the biggest soccer stars.
“ The Peltola campaign has repeatedly denied any involvement in his candidacy.
Legal/ illegal is irrelevant. The Democrat candidate directly lied to the voters by saying they were not responsible for the candidacy. The NYT conforms that lie. A candidate who lies to the voters deserves contempt.
Hey Saint Croix, apply this same idea to the James O'Keefe charge in Minnesota then.
"Yeah, dipshit, the election officials did not allow him to do so. That's what he TRIED to do."

Brandolini’s Law states that “the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.”
To my surprise, it’s not all bullshit. But it starts badly. At least, it starts badly for anyone interested in so-called facts.
SO what - Soviet Inag?
does he need to be locked up and re-programmed - Soviet Inag?
Soviets loved to find criminal behavior where there was none.
Dems in Alaska try to cheat using deception.
JD Vance changed his family name using other family names.
Oh NO! I can only imagine Cenk and Maddow/BS Now's loose bowels.
For the short bus people here, trying to lie about your name in a scheme to interfere with an election is nothing at all like changing your name, which lots of people do for any number of valid reasons.
“The real Senator IS on the ballot as "Senator Daniel S. Sullivan (Republican) - incumbent."
The ballot DOES NOT indicate Daniel S. Sullivan is a “Senator”. It state his political party and that he’s the incumbent.
IEE relies on Brandolini's Law: it's the reason he posts so very many comments, so many of them very long, none of them original, and most of them wrong - so that no one could possibly refute all the silly and dishonest things he writes - or has written for him.
As for Lula, here (link) is a brief account of his corruption, which dwarfs anything any of the Bolsonaros are accused of.
And here (link) is a Brazilian poll worker, after the polls close, putting a piece of paper over the security camera. Can anyone think of a legitimate reason for ever doing that in a polling place?
And here (link) is a list of all the things that have happened to opponents of the PT (Lula's party) over the years:
"2014, the guy who had a chance to defeat the PT died in a plane crash.
2017, the one who was backing Lava Jato and screwing over the PT died in a plane crash.
2018, the one who ran against the PT was stabbed in an assassination attempt
2019, the one who took the place of the guy who died in 2017 released Lula
2021, the one who took the place of the guy who died in 2017 annulled Lula's convictions
2022, the one who ran against the PT is in prison
2026, the one who ran against the PT is in exile"
Mark (8:00pm):
O'Keefe and his partner weren't trying to vote illegally. They were trying to demonstrate that pollworkers would have gladly allowed them and all their friends to vote illegally, and they succeeded in proving that. The pollworkers are the ones who should have been arrested.
Never ceases to amaze how dedicated loyal cultist leftists have no problem with corruption and open deception inside their moral-devoid cheat-camp.
So Chuck confirms that he absolutely supports leftists arresting their political opponents on spurious charges.
Chuck here thinks that the leftists in Spain who arrested and then shot and killed Jose Sotero were 100% in the right, and that all those Catholic priests the leftists murdered deserved it too.
"O'Keefe and his partner weren't trying to vote illegally."
They were asking about the vouching program. And they're being charged "with the crime of beginning the process that could have led to voting illegally, but didn’t."
That’s quite a response to a comment about Brandolini’s Law. Four new rabbit holes, several insinuations, and a conspiracy timeline. You do see the irony, I hope?
I give evidence that Lula is a tyrant and a crook, and IEE calls it "rabbit holes". If he's incapable of arguing like a damned grown-up, he needs to do what I have repeatedly suggested he do: bugger off to Blue Sky and leave us all alone, or start his own blog and drop by once a month to remind us it exists and invite us to visit.
And I do see the irony that someone who routinely posts 10%, 15%, or 20% of all the comments on multiple posts in a day, many of them very long, and all of them dull, is accusing me of posting too much. Another example of what I like to call projectile commenting. (For those who are a little slow, the resemblance to projectile vomiting is not a coincidence.)
they sure did delay the news, didnt they
SNAFU
Somebody's been watching old Eddie Murphy movies.
Specifically, 'The Distinguished Gentleman' (1992)
"In the conniving world of politics, even a professional shyster like Thomas Jefferson Johnson (Eddie Murphy) can find himself outmatched. After using name recognition to get elected, Johnson enjoys many of the same financial perks as other politicians. However, while investigating the connection between electric companies and cancer in young children, he unexpectedly develops a conscience. Unfortunately, fellow Congressman Dick Dodge (Lane Smith) isn't about to let him rock the boat."
Named candidates on the Alaskan ballot clearly define tin incumbent candidate, so no harm no foul. Why do Republicans worry that the pesent occupier of the office will not win again?
Especially since Mary Peltola lost the last election. Republicans employed this tactic in Florid severakl times in psst years.
The basic problem is ranked choice voting, which was designed for manipulation. It just begs for shenanigans.
and all of them dull
Just skip them, I do. I have a little list ...
Hey Saint Croix, apply this same idea to the James O'Keefe charge in Minnesota then.
O'Keefe was doing an undercover sting operation, trying to find bad behavior among lefty NGOs and GOs. He's a one-man right-wing 60 Minutes. He's routinely being arrested or sued when he does things that liberal journalists do all the time.
It's a sting operation, in other words. Do you not know the difference between a sting operation and election fraud?
Hint: a sting operation is one where you pretend to engage in illegality in order to entrap other people. An election fraud is what Peltola and her Sullivan clone are trying to pull off in Alaska.
Inga at 8:19 has responded to a joke. Good one, Inga! There are innocent reasons to changing your name. You've found some.
Of course, in some cases, changing your name can be a sign of fraud.
Trying to recruit people with the same name as your opponent is also a sign of fraud.
Finding examples of Republicans behaving badly -- or in the vice-president's case, innocently -- is not exactly a good defense when your party engages in election fraud. Much better to concede this crime and move on.
To me the coolest thing about this case is the NYT jumping in on the side of election integrity. Good for you, NYT!
I can imagine all the head-spinning in the blue camps. They feel like it's a betrayal. It's Stalin (NYT) shaking hands with Hitler (Trump) and working together to carve up Poland (Peltola).
(I can hear the Polish ambassador going, "Hey, this is an unfair comparison!")
Now the rest of the journalist blue herd have to decide if they are going to abandon Stalin (NYT), or keep following their leader under the theory that the NYT (Stalin) knows best. So we're seeing this panic and division in Commie journalism across the internet.
My prediction is that Peltola (Poland) is toast and she's in big trouble. Maybe jail! When right-wing media and left-wing media agree that you are a dishonest fraud, hey, maybe you're a dishonest fraud.
