Just saw some reports Iranian Intelligence is complaining that the population is nearing overthrow, because their enemies have failed militarily and it's all they have left. Other reports are that the IRGC is planning an exit.

So it looks like the primary strategic advantage the Iranians have for controlling Strait traffic has been compromised.

I wonder what would happen to their control over the Strait if it was taken away from them completely. Let's see, their oil exports have to pass these islands too, right? For instance, Oman is a much more, hmmm, level-headed and stable culture. Or the U.A.E., for that matter.

Thinking about the idiotic "Target blackface" shakedown, I am reminded of something that happened a while back, in Mexico. I own a property there -- I think, it's hard to be sure, what you own in Mexico -- and I pay a man, who I have known for decades and hold in very high regard, to manage the property. His daughter was having her quinceanos, which is a big deal down there, and I was invited. I bought a new shirt, and a gift, and put on some clean pants, and I was an honored guest. Except.

I expect most Americans are familiar with the concept of the pinata, which is a ceramic figure, typically a donkey, that is filled with small candies and hung from the ceiling. Children are blindfolded and given a club, and they try to smash it. Their blindfolded antics are a source of amusement, and when one of them finally breaks the thing open, everybody scrambles for the candy.

But in a process somewhat akin to the commercialization of American Halloween, pinatas are no longer produced locally, they are produced by some bizarre, corporate marketing cartel. Anyway, the net result here, is that my Mexican amigo, and his amigos, had purchased a Snow White pinata, and hung it from a beam on the porch, and were now encouraging their children to attack it with clubs.

I think it is fair to say, that until the moment when he saw me moving closer to my blonde, white daughter, and putting my arm around her, it had not occurred to my friend that there could be a problem here. When our eyes met, I did my best to keep my face still, although I was not going to fake a smile. She did not take a turn, swinging at the pinata. But actually, once that was behind us, we had a good time.

If you spend time in real Mexico, not the costal resorts or the tine parts of Mexico City you will see these things. In Monterey it is common to see full size stuffed black people dolls sitting in rocking chairs outside of restaurants with fabric watermelons. It’s just what they have, and they really don’t seem to mean anything by it. It’s just a thing for them. They don’t seem to hate anyone unless you act like a snotty gringo.

My dog, diagnosed with lymphoma six months ago next week, is still rolling along. My husband is in Texas with her getting our youngest settled into his first post-college apartment, and will start driving westward with her Wednesday or so, joining me in Sacramento where I've been doing what I can in a family health situation..

He tells me she might be showing signs of the end of her long steroid remission; I just want her to make it here to me without discomfort and then she can go while I'm holding her. She was always more my dog than my husband's.

Watched the first two episodes of Green Lantern on HBO-MAX. One of my favorite comic books growing up- in the era when comic books were 10¢ and went up to 12¢... And superheroes were real superheroes, not angst ridden personality disorders in a human body. The first two episodes weren't bad.

Episode 3, watched just now, is woke garbage that contributed nothing to the plot line. Apparently written solely to show how racist and evil America was and is. A black man replacing Hal Jordan? Why not? No problem with that. The back story in episode 3? Shows the raising of a child that would create a monster, not a hero.

Remember when Obama instructed the President of Nasa at the time, Charlie Bolden, to amplify the achievements of Muslim nations in space & no longer talk about America’s achievements? I do. I asked Charlie Bolden about it when I was filming with him for 60 Minutes and he said he was stunned. Then I asked him what Muslim achievements there had been in space that I was not aware of and he replied he did not know of any. He said it was perplexing to receive such an order from the President & made no sense to him or anyone else. Unless you understand that the left & the globalists have been shoving Islam down the throat of the west intentionally for years to conquer & destroy western civilization from within.

Is this supposed to be some sort of news?

In 2018 NBC announced the "breaking news" that incoming NY AG Letitia James was planning to go through every aspect of Trump's and his family's lives in hopes of finding a crime.

James literally announced her plans to search for dirt on Trump before even getting the job. Democrats and the MSM celebrated James for this, even though it was one of the most un-American, egregious declarations of lawfare we've ever seen.

Nicotine alone does not cause cancer (though of course it, and vaping itself, contribute to other issues)
