Once the campaign starts in earnest people will go over Vance's social media accounts just as they are going over Graham Platner's, Francesca Hong's and Adbul El-Sayed's now. Whatever contrast Baker is contriving to establish between Vance and other vice presidents, his tweets and posts are probably less offensive than the average commenter's political posts. Until the race heats up, is anybody really paying attention to Vance's tweets?

That is totally backwards of what the traditional role of the Vice President has been in American history. Until Trump came alone, the Vice President was seen as the attack dog for the President. The Vice President would attack the other side while the President could keep his image of being a "nice guy" intact. Trump and Pence's personalities flipped that relationship upside down.
