From "Trump’s doctor says he is in ‘excellent health’ after latest checkup/While the president’s medical report says he remains fit to serve, independent physicians have raised questions about the recurrent bruises on his hands and swelling in his legs" (WaPo).
Trump's sunny summary: "Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY."
Why did The Washington Post put "overweight" in quotes and modify it with "technically"? He's simply and straightforwardly overweight. And that's not perfect. Can we get Bobby Kennedy over here for a second opinion?

Let's line up all the commentary on JB Pritzker and compare.
Is the "B" for 'brisket', 'buffet line', or 'breakfast all day'? I've noticed he's slimming down recently so I wonder if he's on a GLP, getting in shape. Old 'Fightin' Weight for '28, they call him.
The internet informs me that obese people who want to attempt intercourse should have plenty of pillows to cushion knees, elevate hips, or provide back support, making the experience more comfortable.
I think all prospective candidates should state their body mass as a "Pritzker Proportion" or PP score. When a candidate has crossed a PP of 1.0, they enter the zone of interest. Until then, we should just point at the Illinois governor and laugh.

I'm just on the last day of our travel between Colorado and Toronto and have been having the devil's own time eating properly and getting proper exercise. How one maintains a healthy lifestyle while under presidential stress, I have no idea. (I mean, I know someone is cooking for him.)
My doctor wanted to put me on statins as of my April physical - cholesterol just above borderline - because she said that if I were living in one place and able to stay in control of my diet and exercise, she'd let it ride and see how I did with just lifestyle adjustments, but since I'm not, she wanted to bring down that one number and that ratio with meds. I took them for a couple of weeks and couldn't understand why my legs, which had been recovering well from my knee replacements, were aching all the time.
Light bulb went off; I checked statin side effects and there it was. So I've stopped taking them again, my legs feel great, but my lifestyle on the road is not helping me. We'll be stationary for a month in Toronto, and then a month in Quebec; that should give me some time to try to establish good and sustainable habits.
WaPo went with 'technically overweight' because BMI is a bullshit standard that should be discarded in favor of height and weight charts based on actual research.
Trump would be a sharp and vigorous 69 year-old. As a 79 year-old, he is crushing it.
…independent physicians have raised questions about the recurrent bruises on his hands and swelling in his legs
That’s in the headline? Roll the Dermed commercial with the fat bastard running face first into the pickle ball net.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dmc0wuCZxUk&ra=m
The bruises on his hands are from blood thinners, I have them and my doctor does not even remark on them. If you sleep on your hands, you get them. This is more crying wolf when the truth about Trump is bad enough, but all of this made up shit insulates him,
As a nation we carry a few extra pounds, so why is the media fat-shaming?
There can only be one President Donald Trump, forever. The very discussion of what comes next seems to be an unacceptable affront to Trump’s ego. There can only be one President Trump. And, as is clear from his golden statues and his gilded ballrooms and his “jokes” about still being in power in 2032, he is going to live forever.
Helps make clear where the rest of us Americans fit in.
Not one reporter has ever noticed Karen Bass is a giant fatass.
Of course pritzker like a vogon has no good purpose
Show me a person who isn’t considered overweight based on the BMI calculation.
Its been 50 years since camp matanzas
It’s funny that the fat bastard who bankrolled the lawfare agin Trump, Reid Hoffman, was always a close associate of Epstein and still never described as obesely corpulent.
Remember when Biden released all his medical records? Why not?
Or vogon ensign george conway more of an ugnaught
For 99% of people the BMI is a very useful metric. If it says you are overweight, then you are.
When in the military I had to pass a weight and body composition standard twice a year.
Trump at his height and weight could pass the Army body composition standard if he was in good shape for a 50 year old.
Now at his age he is not in that type of shape, but it provides some context.
Tim Walz would not pass that standard— he is like many military types who balloon up when they no longer have to meet a standard.
Are these the same “independent physicians” who were on vacation the entire 4 years of Sleepy Joe’s reign?
Much like bandy lee, they should be ignored
I thought fat-shaming was a no no. Times change…oh yeah this time it was the Post.
One's body type (endomorph, mesomorph or ectomorph) plays a large role in determining whether one is obese, overweight, fat, etc.
If tjis is going to be a plank in the former major political party’s platform I’m all for making politicians take the old Presidential fitness test. Their fat pigs and muscle deprived candidates would run wheezing for the hills…
Its vapour ware

Me. And millions upon millions of other people.
Trump is incredibly healthy and good looking for a man almost 80. But then go back and look at him in his 20s. He was an athelete in HS. We all decline as we age, but when you start off with an athletic build you can still look good.
Trump is fat and should lose weight.

I take a blood thinner. I bruise easily. I've caused bruises on my hands literally by just reaching into a tight pants pocket or bumping into a wall as I stumble to the bathroom at night. I sympathize but don't worry.
I suspect this is what is happening to our prez.
I sympathize but don't worry.

I’ve been “obese” my whole life. I also can’t float. It has to do with the ratio of muscle (heavy) to fat (light).
I was surprised at how low his blood pressure was. Is he taking BP meds?
Jersey Fled
Lots of people in boot camp thought they couldn't float. After being left on the bottom of the pool for 60-90 seconds, the learned.
I sink like a stone too. With my lungs empty.
By not exhaling deeply I can float all day, even take a nap.
Technique, jersey, technique.

“Technique, jersey, technique.”
I suck at golf too.
"My doctor wanted to put me on statins as of my April physical - cholesterol just above borderline ..."
Jamie, statins are a huge and destructive pharma scam, and that nonsense about cholesterol has been thoroughly debunked. Your doctor is a highly-educated quack.
The impact of being overweight at 80 is unclear. Its a condition that causes problems in the long run. But at 80 in the long run - you're dead.
"Jamie, statins are a huge and destructive pharma scam, and that nonsense about cholesterol has been thoroughly debunked."
Before you take this advice to heart, Jamie, consider that Jupiter believes the moon landings were faked too.
Remember when Biden released all his medical records? Why not?
What Trump has released is not a "medical record". At best, it is a summary of his general health. At worst, it is a piece of propaganda that is full of lies.
Remember how every president since Nixon released their tax returns? Or how you were demanding to see Obama's school records. Pretty quiet about both those things with regard to Trump.
Freder - you sound upset. the eternal state of things in the dedicated leftist hivemind.
statins saved/extended my father's life. That said, they are not for everyone and you should take dietary steps and try not to need them. IMO.
Leftist hive rulz:
Trump - too fat to serve.
Pritzker - He's our fat man!
He's definitely north of 250#. NTTAWWT
Metamucil will lower your LDL. However triglycerides is the real number to keep low. Also, always take a lipid test when fasted.

My TDS suffering high school buddy was not pleased to see these test results. Tough noogies--I've been waiting for years to see the results of Biden's Montreal Cognitive Tests.
Freder - you sound upset. the eternal state of things in the dedicated leftist hivemind.
I sound upset? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Why don't you go back and look at the comments on Biden's health. You all were apoplectic.
Jamie - A good number to look at is the ratio of total_chlosterol-to-HDL. Less than 4.5 is desirable. The point being if your HDL is higher, a higher LDL is less concerning.
My TDS suffering high school buddy was not pleased to see these test results.
Which test results are those? There were no actual test results published.
Trump should hire a professional trainer and dietician.
He'd do well on a high protein/ low card no sugar diet.
Freder: Here are the test results: Trump will be dead soon.
Not from his high weight and issues that go with obesity - but from a leftist assassin's bullet.
either way - should you not be celebrating?
Biden was installed. He didn't need cognitive agility. He was installed to do a job for the corrupt chi com left.

At some point you need to understand that you have been lied to by everyone in our medical establishment.
Your doctor gets kickbacks for putting you on Statins.
What do Statins actually do?
Everyone who takes Statins is worse off. Statins are a poison. They cause other maladies that people have to take more drugs for.
This is not a mistake.
I’ve been on statins for 20 years now. I can’t say for sure if they’ve done me any good or not. But I do know that I’ll be 80 on my next birthday.
Last week my doctor told me he ordered a PSA test for me. He apologized saying he knows I’m beyond the age threshold. But he said he likes to order them for men my age who are as healthy as I am.
So there’s that.
Achilles as usual is a hysterical know it all.
Since I take a statin, my health food nut spouse insists I take CoQ10 with it.
My doc wants to put my on a statin, but I've resisted so far. My HDL is high (around 80), and my total cholesterol/HDL is about 3. My triglycerides are low (around 50). My wife has had side effects from cholesterol-lowering meds (aches) and has gone off them for now. CoQ10 is supposed to counter the side effects, but it didn't seem to help her.
I'm on a blood thinner because of a DVT early this year, but have had no bruising, just an occasional bloody nose.

It is easier to convince someone of a lie than it is to convince someone they have been lied to.
You would think that people would be skeptical of the people who pushed the COVID vaccines and masks. I find it shocking that anyone trusts our medical establishment and drug companies after COVID.
But here we are with people happily tossing those same drug companies billions of dollars for obvious snake oil.
James K - with those numbers I'm surprised at your doctor's prescription. I wouldn't do it. That said, everyone must make their own decisions.
I'm on a low-dose statin, but my HDL is virtually nonexistent, and I have a family history.
I have muscle aches, but going off the statin didn't change anything. Neither did taking CoQ10. I am highly suspicious of the mosquito-borne virus I contracted a couple of years ago.
Cholesterol is less related to food jntake then other factors

Start by learning what statins are actually supposed to do and then learn what they actually do.
Ask your doctor what "high cholesterol" actually means. You will find out your doctor doesn't know any of these answers most of the time. Primary care doctors in the US are DEI retards. They are not smart people. They only know enough to get their kickback from big pharma at the end of the quarter.
In order to find out if you are actually unhealthy you have to get a DNR test which actually looks at the size of your cholesterol molecules in your body. If you are healthy you will have a single spike in the LDL range. If you are fat and eat a lot of carbs and have insulin resistance you will have 2 spikes in your LDL range.
LDL A is healthy fluffy happy LDL that slides down your arteries happy endothelial lining repairing your muscles and your joints and your brain. It is produced by your liver in the quantities your body needs and this will depend on how much you work out and how much you use your brain. My "Total Cholesterol" has been over 400 for years.
LDL B is unhappy oxidized LDL that has been punctured by glucose molecules. It will show up on a DNR test as the second spike. Your body can't do anything with LDL B. Your white blood cells nab it and flush it out like any other toxin. The problem with LDL B is that if you have high levels of LDL B you probably have a lot of sugar spikes in your diet and elevated inflammation in your body stripping your arteries endothelial layer. The LDL B then can wedge itself into your artery walls because it has jagged oxidized shapes and cause plaques.
Statins only lower your LDL A by short circuiting a whole host of enzymatic processes in your liver. Thus no CoQ 10 and headaches and joint aches are expected because you are taking poison.
I am just pointing out all of these known issues because I actually want people to feel better.
Nobody defends the cholesterol hypothesis anymore. Everyone knows it is the HDL:Triglycerides ratio that actually matter. Everyone knows that LDL A is actually necessary for good health.
So much about health is just genetic luck. I haven't been to a doctor in over 40 years, and I was starting to worry about my health, not because I was feeling poorly but I've lived a pretty hard life in many respects and my diet is questionable. I eat vast amounts of butter and cream and red meat. I booked comprehensive blood tests to find out if I needed to worry. The results were so ridiculously good in all areas that it is unbelievable. HDL 92, triglycerides 30, plus all the other tests. I asked Grok to interpret the results, and assuming Grok is not lying to me, I seem to be the healthiest guy alive. I run a lot, but I also drink too much and eat like a Frenchman.
Thanks, Original Mike and Achilles. My resistance to going on statins is based on a general sense of all that, though not with that level of detail. The next time I see my doctor I was planning to push back. It's hard to find a cardiologist who doesn't reflexively prescribe statins as soon as LDL goes over 100 (or maybe 130).

If you want to see how the sausage is made.
And every one of those "new customers" of statins now have headaches, low vitamin D, joint pain, no CoQ 10, lower testosterone and less flexible cell membranes.
They have drugs for all of those too.
"I haven't been to a doctor in over 40 years,"
Pretty much the same here. I ended up making an appointment for an exam mainly because I was in my mid 60s, not because I had any concerns. The exam revealed a birth defect in my heart that, left unattended, would have killed me a couple of years ago.
I don't know what it was that prompted me to make that appointment but I'm sure glad I did.
Yikes, now you've got me thinking about getting a checkup myself. Blood tests are all well and good, as far as they go, but they wouldn't turn up something like that.
If Trump is obese then so is half the country.
236 THEY must do 1 leg at a time, that fellow is obese at least 250 and he certainly not 6 3 they say that so it keeps him from obese zone. Yes and this country is seriously obeseI cant remember the last fat president in my lifetime? let me see Runners obama, clinton, bush, Bush 1 skinny nixon on edge but still not fatJohnson Ike nah no fat ones..Got the ole RONNIE JACKSON report BEST EVER!
Notice how Freder talks about everything but Biden's lack of medical history/records.
Why is that?
I mean, the question was asked but instead of providing an answer, he talks about everything else.
It was a fraud from start to finish
Trump has abstained from drinking, smoking, and drugs his entire life. He abides by the "lie down, stay down" rule, governing with energy and shrugging off stress. Sure, he could lose weight, but the bloodwork he released indicates a very healthy man for his age. Mazel tov.
Tina for the win.
First, we know from pictures of Donald alongside his youngest son, Barron, who stands 6'7" tall, that our creepy prez continues to lie about being 6'3". Losing height as you get older is normal. I was 6'3" when I joined the military at age 23, and now, as an Octogenarian, I stand 6'0".
Regarding Trump's 238 lbs, please compare any current Trump photo with a pic of Steeler wideout D.K. Metcalf, who has similar height/weight stats, to see what D.K.'s 6% body fat looks like when assessing Trump's "non-technical" overweight condition, despite his sucking down Zepbound.
Achilles, where did you get your medical degree?
Achilles: just raise your good cholesterol. Buy excellent, fruity virgin olive oil and substitute it for butter. Have really decent fish twice a week. Eat more walnuts and salad here and there. Cut down on carbs or lose them most days. That's really all you have to do. It tastes better anyway.
I used to care for a married couple who had been my professors. Breakfast was coffee. Lunch was good cold cuts, nuts, grapes, and a single glass of wine. Dinner was a little garlic bread, salad or marinated eggplant with sardines (better than it sounds), a small pasta dish, then fish or meat with some well-handled vegetable, with wine. A fine diet.
Old and slow, apparently you are not.
