The Honorable Cardinal Lady Zelig

That's Meade's bird of state, right?   And a paler pink flamingo is the lady.

Male flamingos are more aggressive than females. This behavior is often seen during mating season, with males fighting over desired females. However, it should be noted that female flamingos are known to be aggressive with one another during mating season as well. Though not common, pecking and pushing have been observed.

Back in the day, I stayed to the left and subconsciously leaned to the right. Then I grew up.

I didn't know cardinals came in green and fat.

Curious George ayon kay ...

the cardinal is a popular bird for sports teams to adopt. St. Louis Cardinals, Arizona Cardinals, Louisville Cardinals, Illinois State Redbirds.

The all have the red male cardinal as their logo, all are different, excerpt in one detail. The cardinals have a yellow beak.

Cardinals don't have yellow beaks. They're red.

Ralph.
It's AI and I think what we're seeing is a cross between a female Cardinal and a Cedar Waxwing.

Tofu King ayon kay ...

I don't believe it's cross. It's a female Northern Cardinal.

Here in Austin we have Cardinals nesting in our Arizona Cypress that go back decades. We also have Pyrrhuloxia, Desert Cardinals, as not too rare visitors. They are basically Cardinals with lotsa gray instead of red. They have yellow curved beaks (rather than orange and triangular for the Northern Cardinals) and a red stripe down their gray breasts.

We also have flamingoes but they are smaller than life sized, made of plastic, and only move through the yard owner's assistance.
