If (when) he runs, they should show clips of him talking (babbling), then play the quote of him saying, "How do you translate that into human?".

Gavin Newsom's problem isn't that simple. His looks are good enough to fool the core constituency of the democrat party.
White college educated women are about 95 IQ mean and they have been fed a bunch of absolutely retarded crap by universities. He can say the dumbest things in the world and democrats will clap like seals.
Newsom's real problem is that Democrats do not get elected without voter fraud. Most of his voters are people who have ballots filled out for them by harvesters. Once that scam is over it doesn't really matter what he does.
You can never really tell about a guy like that. Whether he’s really a nice person or if he just smiles a lot.
I still think Newsom is a sociopath. I saw a clip of him yesterday saying something inane about an important issue, and his body language really sent up red flags. It's almost as if he is trying to flirt like a valley girl when he doesn't know what to say, he shimmies his shoulders, he rolls his eyes. If his hair was long enough, I think he'd toss it, with a dramatic arch to his eyebrow and a side eye.
It's all very contrived and off-putting, seeing these mannerisms being displayed by a tall man pushing 60. I honestly don't think he knows how to connect and interact with people as equals, but some things seem to work so he keeps using them. He is 100% separate.

This is a gender thing -- being attractive makes men happier than it does women. Attractive women are much more likely to wrestle with self-doubt and insecurities. It's not a win-win to be gorgeous and female but it is for men.
Anyways I googled "most attractive politician by country" and stumbled across a Reddit discussion. Some of the submissions were obviously tongue in cheek -- there are many goofy looking politicians. But there were also a lot of good looking people. Gavin doesn't even crack the top 20. He's "mid."

If you never are criticized or scrutinized in any meaningful way, you start to believe you fart pure silk. It's one of the main reasons Kamala Harris and Tim Walz failed as candidates - they both come from places where you don't have to care what your opponents think or do. We have a boatload of politicians from indigo blue states like California, New York, Illinois and Minnesota on the national stage and none of them can even imagine working with the other side, because they never have to. I'm so glad I get to comment on this interview once again. The first time I was hard on the interviewer, because I thought he was typical suck-up based on body language and the clip.
Listening now, I absolutely love how he came back and told Newsom, with genuine incomprehension, "I don't know you" (or what you want to do)...
In this context, looking back to the earlier clip, the interviewer saying "good for him" in reply to Newsom saying "Putin got 87.3% of the vote" comes across as sarcastic toward Newsom and is fucking hilarious!

Which is nonsense. Average IQ of someone with a doctorate degree (excluding EdD) is about 125 or so. That’s across the board (MD, JD, DVM, DDS, PhD, etc). Average for a BS/BA was about 100. Female IQ college grad should be lower than male, due to their higher participation in colleges. My guess for white female AWFLs is probably in the 95-99 range. Maybe even the suggested 95, based on their voting patterns.

Being feared is not everything in being an effective president. But it is sometimes essential. I can't imagine Gavin Newsome being feared by our enemies, as Donald Trump sometimes is. I'm not even sure Gavin Newsome would know who our enemies were.

The main political problem of the Governor of California, the former Mayor of San Francisco, is that it was his administrations, with him in those elected offices, that led to the present status of San Francisco as "shit city" and California as "homelessness capital of America." Not to mention his many other very negative accomplishments in those offices. He is his own worst problem, to be succinct.
Maybe he can pick a hand model for VP to balance the ticket.
