Frank! Stop!
Another day on the Althouse blog where on the threads that pertain- liberals can't define what a legal observer is.
But then, I've yet to see a definition in the Instapundit comment section. Or Legal Insurrection. Or anywhere on X.
Bandied about as it were actually a thing, and a defense against being accused of obstructing federal agents- but no definition. Come on- define it. Be brace. Be the first to articulate a lie. Don't wait for the lie to come from above- define it yourself.
Or if you have feedback on the talking points you get- tell your leaders to define it.
The hour draws near. LFG HOOSIERS
"Another day on the Althouse blog where on the threads that pertain- liberals can't define what a legal observer is."
To be fair, they can't define what a woman is either, and that's a far simpler challenge.
I will be legally observing Indiana this evening and rooting for them to thump Miami. I think the first half will be key, as the Hoosiers have recently opened it up early on some solid teams. Not that I’m having flashbacks or anything… :)
I think you just have to identify as a legal observer. Then others need to believe as well because feels….
Either Mellencamp is a tiny person, or he borrowed that jacket from a defensive lineman--or both.
"I think you just have to identify as a legal observer."
Is there such a thing as an illegal observer? Would being one get you deported?

That said, Hoo Hoo Hoo, Hoosiers!
"Do you suppose leftist thugs would dare to barge into a mosque?"
Probably not, because they think they're on the same side as the mosqueteers. They'll be shown soon enough (see: Europe) that's not true.
Whenever the thieves in state legislatures purport to tax wealth, they will make it retroactive. So the time to flee such a state is Right Now, not when or if the thieves actually get the tax passed. That means that just introducing such bills will reduce the tax base immediately, whether the proposal passes or not.

Elderly Hmong St. Paul citizen arrested by ICE in bitter cold wearing only underwear, blanket
Video from St. Paul's Eastside shows ICE agents pulling an elderly man from his home. His family says Chongly Scott Thao is a U.S. citizen who was later released after agents confirmed his identity.
Thao, a U.S. citizen, was detained by ICE agents who believed he matched the description of two convicted sex offenders they were seeking.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has since stated that Thao lived with the offenders, which his family disputes, saying they’ve lived in the home for two years, and they suspect ICE was looking for a previous resident.
Thao's family and local officials, including Mayor Kaohly Her, have criticized the actions of the federal agents.
Mayor Her expressed her anger over the incident, stating that the sex offenders ICE mentioned do not reside with Thao's family.
Community response
What they're saying:
Mayor Her visited Thao’s family to hear their account of the incident. Along with other community members, Her is concerned about the impact of such actions on the Hmong-American community, who now fear ICE more than past Communist threats in Laos.
"They didn't ask for ID. They didn't ask to verify if it was the right person," said Mayor Her. She criticized ICE's statement as "irresponsible and reckless."
Thao’s family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to assist with expenses following the raid, including repairing the broken door.
What we don't know:
ICE didn’t answer FOX 9's specific questions about the incident and has not provided further details about why Thao was specifically targeted.

ICE has arrested over 300,000 people in 2025.
Looks like they were wrong once. They seem to be hitting a pretty god average.
The person ICE wanted to arrest was previously arrested and would have been easy to get if the Democrats hadn't released them into the public.
Thao wouldn't have been arrested if Democrats were obeying federal law.
Inga thinks this makes it OK for democrats to try to kill ICE agents because she is a retard.

It was a red chair and Woody did not punch out Charlie Bauman. He hit him once. Woody was 65 at the time, way past the time he could punch out anyone, especially a young college football player.

Americans Are the Ones Paying for Tariffs, Study Finds ~ WSJ
"Research contradicts President Trump’s claim that foreigners are footing the bill, and could weaken his hand in the dispute over Greenland"
"By analyzing $4 trillion of shipments between January 2024 and November 2025, researchers found that foreign exporters absorbed only about 4% of the burden of last year’s U.S. tariff increases by lowering their prices, while American consumers and importers absorbed 96%.
Rather than acting as a tax on foreign producers, the tariffs functioned as a consumption tax on Americans. The $200 billion in additional U.S. tariff revenue last year “was paid almost exclusively by Americans.”
Pretty much everyone saw this coming — except Trump, Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick, and Kevin Hassett. The last three were deliberately lying. With Trump, who knows? Between being a moron and a compulsive liar, it’s probably both.
Yeah, he only hit him once, Humperdink. I don't know what all the commotion was about.

Remember this one?
Incident
• Date: December 12, 2013
• Location: al-Bayda province, Yemen
• Event: A wedding convoy (cars transporting the groom and guests) traveling between villages
What happened
• The convoy was mistaken for an al-Qaeda group and was struck by U.S. munitions (widely reported as a drone and/or cruise missile strike).
• Multiple vehicles were hit.
Casualties
• At least 12 civilians killed, with some reports as high as 15–17
• Several others wounded
• Victims included the groom’s relatives and wedding guests.

I think everybody had that on their bingo card.
The members of the last group arrested under the FACE Act got five years in prison. So that's what these people who went into a church should get. And if you ask me, they went into a church because Don Lemon said it was too cold to protest outdoors.
And I feel the way that the Minneapolis leftys are scrabbling to get national attention, clicks, money. But the black-block teams won't come there because they'd have to cover up their weird attire with heavy coats, boots, gloves and scarves. And even then they could easily get frostbite if their faces aren't well protected. That's why they're trying to rely on Minneapolis citizens who at least know how to stay warm on the picket line. But the citizens are inexperienced and likely to listen to comflicting voices telling them they are protecting rapists. They don't have that Commie deflection shield which wipes away truth like a windsgield wiper. One sweep and facts are gone. Emotion sweeps in: "and then, and then the meanie ICE guys grabbed a perfectly innocent guy, and we whistled at them and kept saying "fuck" over and over and over, and said they were a disgrace to their moms, but they arrested him and even claimed he was a child molester illegal migrant. As if. " "Oh shame, shame," screamed the AWFL women and the news anchors. The guy was a pedophile but that wasn't clear till the next day and the next day has other things to talk about. So everybody who tried to free the pedophile and keep him in Minneapolis felt great about what they had accomplished though (fortunately) they accomplished nothing.

I thought I saw Indiana supporter (and maybe Alumnus) Mark Cuban on the screen tonight. He was wearing an IU sweatshirt that, while once red, was now a light pink.
But it was a great game--each team dominated one half of the game--just not the same half. A good Hoosier win going against a Miami QB who was paid $4 million this year.
The Zebras didn't call a lot of obvious pass interference. Both teams had great defensive secondaries that were allowed to pretty much maul the opposing team's receivers.

Top Catholic Clerics Denounce U.S. Foreign Policy
Citing recent events in Venezuela, Ukraine and Greenland, three cardinals said their statement was inspired by Pope Leo.
Cardinal Blase Cupich said in an interview that, among his fellow cardinals, there was “a sense of alarm about the way things were going in the world.
The three highest-ranking Roman Catholic clerics who lead archdioceses in the United States said in a strongly worded statement on Monday that America’s “moral role in confronting evil around the world” is in question for the first time in decades. Their critique of the Trump administration’s principles — while not mentioning President Trump by name — escalates the American Catholic Church’s denunciations of the country’s top leaders.
In 2026, the country has entered “the most profound and searing debate about the moral foundation for America’s actions in the world since the end of the Cold War,” read the unusual statement issued by Cardinal Blase Cupich, archbishop of Chicago; Cardinal Robert McElroy, archbishop of Washington; and Cardinal Joseph Tobin, archbishop of Newark.
Citing recent events in Venezuela, Ukraine and Greenland as having raised fundamental questions about the use of military force, the cardinals call for a “genuinely moral foreign policy” in which “military action must be seen only as a last resort in extreme situations, not a normal instrument of national policy.”

Why American lawyers are the enemies of humanity and why the profession needs to be eliminated.
Modern conflicts are not about personalities, or even about policies. They are about mass-conflicts re the divergent, irreconcilable interests of millions against millions. And, for the most part, these are not really about races and nations.
A case in point is the US legal profession. From the engineers/technologists point of view, these people are enemies of humanity, just as if it were a mass of pirates or a horde of steppe-barbarians. It is not a question of tweaking laws or decisions, but of eliminating millions of enemies.

Who would believe this nonsense …. other than Kak and Inag?
Clyburn was on Firing Line last week plugging his new book, The First Eight, about the black congressmen elected from his state during Reconstruction. One of the eight was actually a son of high-caste Haitian immigrants, who had been able to use his color privilege during and before the war, and then scooped up real black American votes after the war. Margaret Hoover decided discretion was the better part of valor and did not raise the obvious similarities to the immigrants taking stuff away from black Americans today. Or maybe she figures her viewers didn't need help and Clyburn would look even sillier without active opposition. CC, JSM

Have you ever seen them in the same room? I kid, but that's the biggest trans sin: every woman with a noble face becomes suspect. CC, JSM
Back to Clyburn: yesterday during MLK events a lot of black politicians were accusing Trump of wanting to bring back Jim Crow, and specifically segregation. That's one of those believe-your-lying-eyes things. In all the ICE battles, the only black faces are sticking out of ICE face masks.
Maybe, maybe the SCOTUS stuff wrt the Voting Rights Act might hurt American blacks, but the gerrymandered districts are being used to vote for anti-black policies like open immigration and green scams.
Get those 30 million illegals out, and there'll be lots of housing and schools for American blacks to desegregate. CC, JSM
This is fantastic! The embedded videos are spot-on.

A young woman meme standing up for the U.K… I’m hoping a US version will soon arrive, countering the AWFL set in the US that’s protesting for cash and any meaning in their life.
Wow that multi-country force sent to “defend Greenland from Trump” has already bugged out and gone home. When I read that 12 of the 25 “military officers” were French, and saw my fellow Americans speculating if they could beat their surrender time set in WW2, I laughed. But no joke, they did in fact cede the ground in Greenland when faced with a threat from Trump… to tariff them.
Bravo, Macron! Way to go Kweir Starmer! Germany, WTF.
True they should have sent Amelia!

If you are confirmed as a Catholic don’t you have enough experience with the church to acknowledge there are periods in history when the church has been the enemy of civilization? Plural periods…
This is one of them...

"ICE has arrested over 300,000 people in 2025.
Looks like they were wrong once. They seem to be hitting a pretty god average."
Unless it can be done perfectly and without error, no law should be enforced.
What does "detained" mean, it could mean stopped and asked for identification. I hate to say it, but I was driving on the Northway once, and Trump was not even president, and I was stopped by a border patrol checkpoing, and everyone in the car was asked for ID. Yes, we were "detained" for that time.
"Should have kept dinking it down the field, but don't know what the T/O situation was."
They had no t/o's and needed a TD.
"As Soon As Next Month, Astronauts Will Return to the Moon"
Depends on what you mean by “return”. If the launch occurs, they will fly around the Moon. “Around” does not mean “land” and, in this case, not even “orbit”. They will go to it, fly to the other side of it, and return to Earth. Hopefully, the heat shield will make it through entry.
The project began under the Bush Administration as “Constellation”. Lockheed Martin won the contract to design and build the capsule in 2006. 20 years later, the capsule may have its first crewed mission. Some may compare this mission to another more than half a century ago. I rather compare the agency. For instance, SpaceX was founded in 2002. They just had their 600th Falcon 9 mission.
Yah we were stopped on the interstate just south of St. Johnsbury in a hidden corner. They never asked for ID but did ask me to roll down the back window. I complied, the. I overheard others disappointment they were stopping families and clean cuts- no tats or anything…
John Mosby @ 4:40 AM, it’s an interesting observation in these abnormal times watching the Polishers of the Turd who are generally coherent and consistent in deductive reasoning veer off the cliff and land in Batshitcrazyville.
While your screed is riddled with errors I could elaborate on, the;
“Get those 30 million illegals out, and there’ll be lots of housing and schools for American blacks to desegregate” stands out.
So, uh, simply remove undocumented immigrants from the housing market and waa-laa, no more long-standing structural issues such as zoning, income inequality, historic redlining, mortgage discrimination, school district boundaries, etc. The sales pitch that immigrants are the culprit of limited housing and schools is a product of propaganda think tanks and echoes what Project 2025 lays out.
And the “30 million illegals” overshoots credible figures by nearly 200%. Why not 100 million, considering abject dishonesty is fair game?
I went out and watched the Northern Lights.

Yes Jaq, it technically “could” mean that, particularly if that is how you want to polish it in today’s situations.
RJW, oh, so it’s only 10 million illegals? Well, that’s just fine! What are we worrying about!? Never mind….CC, JSM

We have a bunch of Democrat traitors who are helping them and a bunch of Naturalized Citizens on welfare that need to go too.
Now that you fucks are invading churches we are going to have to expand the net a bit. I am hoping for 50 million.
Achillies, I well understand your blatant disregard of due process, the rule of law, our constitution, and that you advocate vigilante justice as you’ve made those admissions numerous times. I’m not sure how or why you want me to respond as we obviously part ways on these issues so, well, bully for you.
That you are seldom called out on it from the tribe is telling.
’…no more long-standing structural issues such as zoning, income inequality, historic redlining, mortgage discrimination, school district boundaries...’
The only solution is to have the federal government own all the houses and provide them according to the citizen’s needs.

You're a psychopath. You never advocated for any of those things unless it could benefit you.
Is there some reason you need illegal aliens in this country? Unless, of course, they are your preferred victims.
Rusty, your elementary level question of “Is there some reason you need illegal aliens in this country?” is disingenuous because I’ve never advocated such.
If you have a question that doesn’t beclown yourself, I’ll gladly engage.
I wasn't sure if that second clip was Althouse or Meade, but I guess it was Mellencamp. If that's what he looks like now it's just as well that he's been lying low the last few decades.
