Screen grab from the sidebar at The Guardian. The stories are here — "Gus pulled the arrow out of his head by himself and immediately went to see his mother, who was vacuuming inside... He kept saying, 'Mom, am I dying? Am I going to leave you? I don’t want to leave you yet'" — and here — "It is with great sadness that we can confirm our icon of humanity and powerhouse of positivity Fauja Singh has passed away in India."

Almost certainly not 114 years old- probably about 90 max.
A 9 year old boy was playing with an arrow...
Things that make you go "hmm..."
Isn't that how Steve Martin got his start?
Guardian: " he fell face-first on the arrow, which penetrated his head just to the right of his nose"
Very similar to a wound the future Henry V sustained as a 17-yo in battle (he was a much more active prince than Shakespeare gave him credit for). Since it was a spear-point head, though, Harry had the presence of mind not to pull it out. The best surgeon in England at the time embarked on a weeks-long process to widen the wound, and invented a corkscrew-like device to pull out the arrow once the hole was big enough. Then reversed the process to make sure the wound healed without infection. Harry had to stay basically strapped down the whole time, to keep the arrow from penetrating his braincase if he moved.
It's in Dan Jones's recent Henry V biography.
So the Minnesota kid was lucky.

Also, a corollary to the Floyd Doctrine:
If you can say "Mom, am I dying?" you're probably not dying.

“Am I going to leave you? I don’t want to leave you yet“
And then the 9 year-old threw a defiant fist into the air shouting, “FIGHT… FIGHT… FIGHT!”
Can’t we just have 250 of Trump?. Everyone knows that’s what everyone wants
Did you catch the name of the marathoner's running club: Sikhs in the City. Well done.
Died at 114? I'd call THAT good luck.
Thank God the kid survived. And 114? Wow. Don't know if I'd want to hang around that long.
"Rub some dirt on it, kid. You'll be fine."
In my childhood, there would have been some debate amongst us as to whether Gus really needed to tell mom, because the rest of us would be in trouble...
Two stories more believable than most in that leftist rag.
Points to Mr. Singh for the name of his running club/charity, based in London: Sikhs in the City.
