Said Natalie Winters, quoted by Katy Balls in The London Times, "My night out with Trump’s young Maga crowd in Washington."
"Steve" = Steve Bannon. Winters works as a White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s "War Room."
"What is the social scene like in Maga term two? '‘I think there is more of a diversity of ways that groups enter this movement, so you get a broader… For instance, Maha — it’s more the trad wife, pro-natalist people who are really into that. It all mixes. It’s a bigger tent,' says Winters. There is also a bunch of tech bros in town, but to the disappointment of some in the Maga coalition and some of the young Republicans looking for husbands, they rarely come out...."
Are women today thinking about themselves in terms of "feminine energy"? A quick search for the term will turn up some very lightweight stuff. I won't link to any of it. I'll just quote the 2 times the phrase has come up on my blog:
2013: "If you are truly a feminine woman at your core, but don’t know how to let your femininity surface, you will end up unhappy, feeling miserable and depleted.... Being able to claim your feminine energy is at the heart of your own happiness, and most definitely the happiness of your relationship."
That's a quote from Renee Wade.
2025: "And I, I just think we kind of swung culturally to that part of the, the kind of the spectrum where, you know, it's all like, okay, masculinity is toxic. We have to like get rid of it completely. It's, like, no, like it's, both of these things are good, right? It's like you want, like, feminine energy, you want masculine energy. Like I, I think that that's like you're gonna have parts of society that have more of one or the other. I think that that's all good."

And that's a quote from Mark Zuckerberg.

Nah, for most of them "the burn" is still everything.
I definitely agree with the "most men in DC are gay" part. That town is gayer than The Castro except everyone's in a suit. There's so many of them you can make a killing if you like girls, especially around the Pentagon.
There's feminine momentum, if you have big breasts.
Democrat Party is Corrupt.. So - whatever movement outside of that BS paradigm of lies - is whatever. MAGA... not MAGA. Who cares?
Just please - no more Demo-Corruption and lies.
Feminine energy is expended in motherhood. Masculine energy is expended in fatherhood. These human behaviors are not transgendered. Gay energy is expended in narcissistic play, a juvenile delight of childhood, and crochety liberal layabouts of progressive vintage.
Heterosexual males easily detect and then thrive on "feminine energy." It is both sexy and live-giving.
“There's feminine momentum, if you have big breasts.”
And with that, he walked off into the sunset, dog at heel…
Across the board, America isn’t sending its best to DC.
Are women today thinking about themselves in terms of "feminine energy"? A quick search for the term will turn up some very lightweight stuff. I won't link to any of it. I'll just quote the 2 times the phrase has come up on my blog:
Women have one super power that men do not have. They can have children. Without this gift we cannot continue the species.
The girl bosses need to be put down. Andrew Wilson is confronting the "Conservative" Feminists who are quite stunned that someone is standing up to them and pointing out they are just as bad as the "Progressive" feminists.
Example one.
Example Two.
There is a movement in colleges and universities to teach women that mothers and wives are weak pathetic creatures and only the girl boss has value. Then they strut around.
If you want to be a girl boss go for it. But at that point you should be graded on the same curve as a man. You will quickly find out that there are very very few women who belong on that curve and that most of the women on TV are not actually of much merit. They are mostly just pretty.
We do however need mothers who have 5 children and we need to honor them. They are the true heroes.
Madeline Kahn had serious “feminine energy”. What a woman!
Good lord. "...“Because I’m such a great investigative reporter,” Winters says, “my girlfriends hit me up to investigate the guys they go on dates with... ...in a world that is forcing me to be a girl boss ...." One look, and I'd be headed for the exits, pronto.
Maybe so. But also, men in DC are probably some of the better products of cultural trends over the last 30-40 years. That is, they are disgendered. And they have tried to become that way, to be perfect exemplars of what the olders have ordered. Now climb the ladder. So a normal young woman could easily conclude they are gay when they are just trying not to be "toxic" as much as they can. These men expect rewards for this behavior.
Total dysfunction.
Speaking of feminine energy and girl bosses: I've been spending a lot of time around horses lately. Let's just put it this way: I certainly don't want my wife's gelding to be in the mare pasture.
I encounter hundreds and hundreds of people everyday at work including 50 coworkers. Women may try and blunt their feminine energy, but they can't hide it, even the most diesel of lesbians. Nature is never fooled.
If you show up in DC and implausibly attractive women are throwing themselves at you, you're likely being spied on. George Papadopoulos had a very similar problem. President Trump should be trying to filter out people who are too hungry for women (or men) to actually keep opsec.
"...you're likely being spied on"
Preach. That's why it's imperative to be the hunter and not prey in DC. DC is filled with urban Eloi, and they're super easy to spot.
That's not momentum, it's oscillation. In a bra, it's rhythmic. Without proper foundation, the oscillations are out of phase and non periodic.
“Most men are gay. “Feminine Energy”?
In my junior high days, there was no “gay.” As for “feminine energy,” the boys used to tease each other about taking Fem-Iron. “We take care of the one and only you.”

Women evolve with a singular expectation. Secularism keeps them affordable, available, reusable, and taxable. Liberalism further mutates the climate and progresses social pathologies. It doesn't do any favors for men as forward-looking collateral damage.

The key point here is the average virtue of the individual.
If you have a high virtue society this type of spying will have meager results.
Most previous societies had some sort of male ideal that included honor in their code. Samurai, Knight, Soldier, Lord etc. And yes it almost always had to do with the physical necessity of protecting society and maintaining order.
We need to go back to that.
Reading the article it became clear fairly quickly that Natalie Winters' problem is that she's 100% about Natalie Winters, 100% of the time. If she has problems meeting marriageable men it's not really their fault.
Sex obsessions, gender fetishes = the American people deserve better than these clowns.
I have to admit I was sort of shocked for a second to see a guy wearing a red MAGA hat at the bar in a tony restaurant in Palm Beach—all restaurants there are tony, BTW—who appeared to be on the prowl, cocktail in hand.
Spell check does not like the word "tony" and keeps correcting it to "Tony." I guess it's trying to force us over to "posh."
How many DC insiders get good deals on molesting and sexual abuse of illegal children?

The pendulum always swings. Humans provide the energy to move it off center but it will always come back to the fundamental biology:
We need men to provide safety and order in society.
We need women to have children and raise the next generation.
Any deviation from this center in either direction just ensures a return and probable over correction.
I think the people who deviate from the natural norm for sexual procreation are in for a rough patch. Hopefully we can prevent that.

Women are generally People focused.
Men are generally thing/system focused.
Women without kids only have one person to focus on.
Men without a family have a similar problem.
Soviet-Democratic Media have not a single concern about the people burned in Boulder - while they gathered and respectfully remembered the hostages held by evil Hamas Nazis.
No - we all must shed a tear for the daughter of Biden's illegal terrorist - because her dreams are now broken.
Well - girl, blame your dad and Biden. And stop being a selfish taker - and know when to get the hell out.
Did she really say "protect feminine energy"? Isn't the more common expression to "project"?
“Are women today thinking about themselves in terms of "feminine energy"?”
Sounds more like, they’re, like, thinking, like, about, like, themselves, like, in, like, whatever. Like.
Michel said, "Isn't the more common expression to 'project'?"
Sheryl Sandberg told young women to 'Lean In' and they all leaned in so much they fell over. Society hasn't even reached the worst part yet.
As a former journalist now working in political media relations, I'm interested in how this London outlet settled on not capitalizing "MAGA" and going with "Maga."
Because there was some deliberation.
[shrug] As I've mentioned here before, my then 18yo husband interned in the CA governor's office in the mid-80s - a Republican governor - and found that the staff was very very gay. Ultimately he quit that internship because one guy, mid-20s but in a position of fairly significant authority, absolutely wouldn't leave him alone.
I wonder if there's something about being close to the seat of power.
Jaq, try 'toney.'
As for gay DC, at least we know J. Edgar was straight . . .
Laughed out loud at "...quoted by Katy Balls." So high school.
Are women today thinking about themselves in terms of "feminine energy"?
I see this a lot on YouTube videos that show women on TikTok demanding men who are in their "masculine energy" and allow her to be in her "feminine energy." These are what I call "he-man women hater club" channels like manosphere, although hoe_math and emilywking are very sane about it. Internalizing these attitudes will set you off women permanently, because the bad ones can't help revealing their disdain for men and seeing them as nothing more than ATMs.
I want to marry someone who allows me to protect feminine energy
I wonder if she uses this line on first dates. It does make her sound a little self-absorbed IMO.
If you show up in DC and implausibly attractive women are throwing themselves at you, you're likely being spied on.
This comment by doctrev may need some explication. As a long time (1969 - 2016) DC-area resident let me start by observing that there are lots of people cleared to levels substantially higher than Top Secret, and as part of being briefed into that clearance level one is briefed to watch out for “honey traps.” Can you be set up for blackmail thanks to a sufficiently hot sex partner? Be aware!
I might add that going all the way back to 1969 (and earlier), the twenty-something singles have complained about the relative lack of a bar scene in Washington. Plus, if the woman is looking for the “marrying kind” of guy, she won’t find him in a Georgetown area bar. Church social, maybe. Tony cocktail party in Kalorama, possibly. Bar scene? Ultra-low probability.
'Energy' sounds scientific and therefore Important. Before women started talking about their 'energy,' they were telling you about their auras and chakras and crystals and astrological signs.
Seems like yesterday some dudes were fucking each other on congressional floor. Another reason to decentralize the governmental process. Still, I hesitate to take Winter's presumption all that seriously. Maybe the guys that aren't invisible to Natalie just aren't interested. I knew an in demand woman who gained weight/lost pursuers and then said men must have become "undersexed".
Another version of "feminine energy" is "in my/her feminine".
On a dating forum, a middle aged woman required a man to be at least 6" taller than her "So I can be feminine." Kinda worse than the ole "so i can wear heels" trope.

The publicly anti-gay, but closeted gay republicans have to play footsie in public bathrooms to get any action. It’s either that or becoming a priest.
And MAGAt persecution complex aside, didn’t Steve Bannon actually go to prison for conning MAGAts out of $ that was supposed to go towards building a wall?
Per BBC,(not that BBC or Bee Beee See):
"The committee sought Bannon’s testimony over his involvement in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Bannon had initially argued that his testimony was protected by Trump’s claim of executive privilege. But the House panel and the Justice Department contend such a claim is dubious because Trump had fired Bannon from the White House in 2017 and Bannon was thus a private citizen when he was consulting with the then-president in the run-up to the riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
Bannon’s lawyers tried to argue during the trial that he didn’t refuse to cooperate and that the dates “were in flux.” They pointed to the fact that Bannon had reversed course shortly before the trial kicked off — after Trump waived his objection — and had offered to testify before the committee.
In closing arguments Friday morning, both sides re-emphasized their primary positions from the trial. The prosecution maintained that Bannon willfully ignored clear and explicit deadlines, and the defense claimed Bannon believed those deadlines were flexible and subject to negotiation.
Bannon was served with a subpoena on Sept. 23 last year ordering him to provide requested documents to the committee by Oct. 7 and appear in person by Oct. 14. Bannon was indicted in November on two counts of criminal contempt of Congress, a month after the Justice Department received the House panel’s referral.
Bannon’s attorney Evan Corcoran told jurors Friday in his closing arguments that those deadlines were mere “placeholders” while lawyers on each side negotiated terms.
Corcoran said the committee “rushed to judgment” because it “wanted to make an example of Steve Bannon.”
Corcoran also hinted that the government’s main witness, Jan. 6 committee chief counsel Kristin Amerling, was personally biased. Amerling admitted on the stand that she is a lifelong Democrat and has been friends with one of the prosecutors for years. Corcoran also vaguely hinted that the signature of Jan. 6 committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) looked different on the subpoena than on other letters but dropped that topic when the prosecution objected.
Prosecutors focused on the series of letters exchanged between the Jan. 6 committee and Bannon’s lawyers. The correspondence shows Thompson immediately dismissing Bannon’s claim that he was exempted by Trump’s claim of executive privilege and explicitly threatening Bannon with criminal prosecution.
“The defense wants to make this hard, difficult and confusing,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda Vaughn in her closing statement. “This is not difficult. This is not hard. There were only two witnesses because it’s as simple as it seems.”
The defense Thursday motioned for an acquittal, saying the prosecution had not proved it’s case. In making his motion for acquittal before U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, Bannon attorney Corcoran said that “no reasonable juror could conclude that Mr. Bannon refused to comply.”
Once the motion was made the defense rested its case without putting on any witnesses, telling Nichols that Bannon saw no point in testifying since the judge’s previous rulings had gutted his planned avenues of defense. Among other things, Bannon’s team was barred from calling as witnesses House Speaker Nancy Pelosi or members of the House panel.

From 2020 to 2024 the social scene was a bunch of federal remote workers holed up in their homes or not even in DC. Social media activity dominated, and many local businesses closed up. I suppose the Tinder/Grindr crowd found each other though.
Those who are outside now...are more mentally healthy...but COVID mask wearing continues...
Oh! I see. It’s confusing when he’s committed multiple crimes.
One felony was for attempting to overturn the election results.
Bannon grifting from MAGAts was an entirely different enterprise.

Ambition. And a fight against fat and age. A thoroughly boring article. Brain-painingly.
Do note 'Hag was wrong.
Funny how lawfare kicks in heading into an election.
Good ole Al Bragg.
Meanwhile, Biden Inc unscathed.
Isn't it weird that, as masculine energy was attacked and put into decline, women developed much more masculine energy themselves, leading to the screeching harridans of today?
I’m sure Cate Blanchett thinks her feminine energy (like her moral compass) is centered in her vag.

The key part here is what Hag views as a crime.
According to Hag people donating to an ngo to build a wall is a crime.
But the government handing out tax dollars to ngos to castrate kids in other countries is mandatory.
Discussing who is a criminal and who is not with someone like this is pointless. They are completely amoral, corrupt and greedy. They are going to declare anything they do as legal and they are going to declare anyone who gets I between them and the money they want to take from others a criminal.
You cannot have a free country with people like this around. They will turn any country they are in into something like Venezuela in less than a decade.
tommyesq said, "Isn't it weird that, as masculine energy was attacked and put into decline, women developed much more masculine energy themselves, leading to the screeching harridans of today?"
"Screeching" ≠ "masculine energy". It's an incredibly poor substitute for deathly resolve and immediately evaporates with a strong whiff of nitrocellulose.
The real world is not the movies, and women globally have been seriously deceived into thinking noise = power. I genuinely hope this lesson is re-learned in the fuzziest, wuzziest way possible.
Idiots (including Natalie Winters and TeaBagHag) who assume gay Republicans are closeted have never bothered to research the Log Cabin Republicans, an organization that has been in existence for nearly half a century.
I'm reminded of Camille Paglia's quote (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8BRdwgPChQ):
"Historically, the movement toward androgyny occurs in late phases of culture as a civilization is starting to unravel. From the perspective of historical distance, it's a culture that no longer believes in itself. And then what you invariably get are people who are convinced of the power of heroic masculinity starting to mass on the outsides of the culture."
Heroic masculinity WILL return, the question for modern women is whether or not it comes with a hijab and a mandate to pray 5x a day facing Mecca.
"I definitely agree with the "most men in DC are gay" part."
There was a video recently of a US Senate staffer literally getting buttf8cked on the floor of the US Senate, in the room where Supreme Court Justice nominees are debated. That video was released to the public.
The buttf8ckee was outed, and has left the country. But the Senator who was doing the buttf8cking of the "Senate aide" never was. He's still in the Senate. Presumably fucking all the other gay Senate aides.
That's how gay DC is.
Achilles, I'm glad you took a time out from jerking off to Abu Ghraib torture videos to spew some vomit. It's not the forming of an ngo that's a crime, you ninnie. It's the pocketing of the money by Steve Bannon.
BTW, how's that wall going, shitbird?
"Screeching" ≠ "masculine energy".
Agreed, perhaps it is not that women have become more "masculine," but that they are increasingly displaying some of the traits that they sought to drive out of men.
Transcontinental or are they just happy to see you?
@FormerLawClerk, I remember. He became a meme. I'm sure he's still "Ridin' with Biden", and that he has endless wisdom for progressive fellow travelers about how to 're-engage' with men.
Many forms of feminine energy are not desirable. This Winters woman seems narcissistic ... and then there's tea bag hag.
Was that before or after “Hidin’ with Biden”?
A good number of NGOs have enabled child trafficking and rape trees at the border, per Pedo Pete's desire.
perhaps, but she has proven an able researcher on ccp ties of the government, for instance for the national pulse, and held down the post during the lawfare against bannon and navarro,
maybe she is high maintenance, but I wouldn't take the Times view of her as optimal,
What is "feminine energy"? Is the emphasis on the "feminine" or on the "energy"? Since she objects to having to be a girl boss, I suspect she may want to "lean out" and be more "feminine" rather than "lean in" and concentrate on her career and on attaining power and status. That may be why she wants to "protect" rather than "project" her energy.
DC is said to have a high percentage of gay residents, but most of the men? Maybe they care more about power than about women. It's pretty much an open secret that many men in Republican political circles -- as in Democrat circles -- are gay: thin, neat, articulate, and single, and no use of gay dialect unless they want to.
there was that bit of 'outrage' because of her attire, in casual events, but mostly because they are fools who have bought any lie for more than four years,
of course the Times as with the Telegraph, is all to willing to embellish if not manufacture details, like the hack job they did against Darren Beattie, because after all if you are Tea Party orMAGA, in official circles, well you're not entirely human, now there may be that type in the movement as with any movement,
for example in the last term when Bannon was in the government, they took the circumstances of his estranged wife, and applied it to him, they went as much to destroy the Mercers who were supporters of O'Keefe and company, and other examples that come to mind, only Dem hedgefund principals can prevail, re Renaissance Capital
another example was how the telegraph tried to make miss sukhova, a whistleblower against corrupt sberbank some kind of Black Widow with General Flynn,
When I was younger, I had a serious weakness for French women. In my view/experience, just about every last one of them believed it was good to be feminine - young, old, pretty, not-so-pretty, city, country…. They let you know.
Feminine is the opposite of feminist.
"Do note 'Hag was wrong."
This is my surprised face.
"the CA governor's office in the mid-80s - a Republican governor - and found that the staff was very very gay"
Reagan (or someone) said the same was true of his.
I lived in DC for 2 years many decades ago. I was repeatedly hit on by other men, on the Metro late at night, at bus stands waiting for the bus, in bars, etc.. I've lived in several other metropolitan areas and have never been hit by men anywhere other than DC.
It's not the forming of an ngo that's a crime, you ninnie. It's the pocketing of the money by Steve Bannon.
I am saving this quote from the tea bag hag for future reference. When the upcoming dollar by dollar audits of USAID grants to left wing NGOs have been completed, thousands of Democrats are going to prison, some of them quite famous. We’ll see what she says then.
Having done some digging, I'm pretty sure I'm right. It's "project" not "protect. I can't get access to the Times article so I'm not sure if they're responsible for the typo.
I think it's a positive development even though I don't like the jargon. The temptation is to be dismissive but it’s actually kind of interesting. "Project feminine energy" a way to say you want to be feminine without using that term.
It also comes with a bunch of stupid qualifications to make it clear that it isn’t restricted to women and that no one is obliged to project feminine energy just because they’re a woman. But I take it as a concession in the culture wars.
Hag- aren't you late for your conjugal prison visit with (D)Adam Westbrook and (D)Brett Blomme?
Politics is a largely dark art practiced best by people without morals. Every Democrat gay political operative (bar one who sadly killed himself), and the few of the Republican ones I've known are the worst people I ever met in decades of political work. By no means all of them, but most of them are a nest of dishonest, disordered, power-hungry social climbers seeking revenge on society, and, among the males, deep contempt for women, especially "breeders."
I have known many non-political gays and lesbians, some close friends. Normal, gracious, talented, sensitive, lovely people -- with one exception, a slumlord who preyed on young gay men.
Just one woman's observations.
Now I understand why "pride" was given a month rather than just a day.
