"That's kinda what happened.... It was a high school party.... It wasn't a civil war.... The kids from the other high school came. And they're a little wild. And things got a little out of hand. And then the really popular quarterback may or may not have egged it on without knowing.... He was like, we're having the best time of our lives tonight. We gotta go out there and have the most fun. No one can tell us how much fun we can have.... He's quarterback. And he was like, we're tonight's our night to make a mark and have the most fun we've ever had. And, and, and this is what happened.... We're all kind of having fun, And it's getting a little wild. It's getting wild. It's getting a little wild. Well, we've all been at those parties where we regret the next day. Everybody looks around and goes, that, that was really nuts.... I can't believe that happened.... It's a regrettable day. Yeah. It's a regrettable day...."

"Here's the way I look at January 6th. Truly. Have you ever been at a party that's gotten out of hand?"

Especially when you start getting shot with rubber bullets and mace when you are outside not doing anything. They provoked the crowd.....purposely it seems. Nancy's little Fedsurrection worked for a while until we started seeing REAL videos about what was actually happening...not the government sponsored network news specials.
Love the extended metaphor: the parents were in Europe. A couple of off-duty town cops were standing around the keg drinking and flirting with the sophomore girls. We don't know who pushed who into the pool first.
If you went to public grade school there was always this girl that would egg on other people to engage in bad behavior- claim so and so are dating, start fights, create conflict. In this case that grade school girl was actors in the federal government. The same people that got Epps an hour on 60 Minutes…
By the way, who was that guy with the long gun standing behind Ashli Babbitt?
I still think the kids from Forrest were really FBI. Change my mind.
...following dozens and dozens of BLM and Defund the Police 'fire and free bricks parties' that were unpolicied just before the Jan 6 'party.'
Not a bad metaphor. Far more accurate than any of the insurrection nonsense.
Fair to a degree, but it wasn’t a party, it was supposedly a group of people who believed the greatest electoral fraud in US history had occurred and they were going to stop it from happening. That vibe is way different … if they actually thought the election was actually stolen, which is questionable.
It must be difficult to generate that kind of humor regularly unless the arrested development is for real.
"That vibe is way different … if they actually thought the election was actually stolen, which is questionable..... Questionable, but not remotely disprovable, because it was intentionally rendered inauditable, which is the essence of the problem.
Unclean elections have consequences.
When I saw Jan. 6 happening live on tv, I burst out laughing. Laughing because those prissy government bastards were reaping what they had sown—years of making us shelter in place, schools closed, wear masks, get a vax, lies about it ALL and the Minneapolis riots, unjust election — the people had had enough. What did the government expect?
I questioned the immediate appearance of the word "insurrection", which didn't seem to accurately describe what I saw on TV. It's almost as if someone had the 14th in mind from the very start. No?
"Supposedly" is carrying a lot of weight there, Bud.
It was a protest. In the great American tradition of protesting.
Nobody brought any weapons--and the smoke bombs you see in the picture were set off by the Feds.
I couldn't believe that clip from Anderson Cooper that was on the Dillion Video. What a DNC hack. Mr. Cooper really hates Trump doesn't he?
As for Jan 6th, at the time, I didn't find it "Horrible" or an "Insurrection". Like others, I found it funny. And wished I could've been there to see Buffalo Horn guy waving Nancy's gavel around. And I found the MSM and political reaction to it hysterical and insane.
The MSM, GOPe, and the Democrats have never stopped lying about it. And then Biden gave a medal to Lt Byrd who murdered Ashli Babbitt, and then used his DoJ to hunt down everyone and throw in jail for doing the mildest things, like merely walking into the Capital.
Jan 6th got rowdy because all these people had watched the Left, BLM, and Antifa burn and loot cities, attack the white house and Federal buildings without any blowback or punishment. They thought it was perfectly acceptable to rumble with the Police and break a few windows. They found out there's one rule for the left and another for the Right
Anderson Cooper says "They tried to hunt down Mike Pence, shouting "Hang Mike Pence". There's no proof of that. No one had a rope. No one had a gun. And who knows who, if anyone shouted that. maybe they were DHS/FBI assets.
The most amazing thing about J6, was that not one Republican congressment or Senator tried to calm down or address the crowd. Not one. The J6 protesters were their voters. Instead they all wet their pants, and ran away. McCarthy actually burst out in tears and cursed Trump. Romney thought they were going to kill his wife in utah. Others put on gas masks and hid in the basement.
What contempible clowns.
They are nothing but consistent in granting legitimate awards to their illegitimate allies. Instead of legitimizing the illegitimate it makes the awards illegitimate…
A big high school party, with abrogating the constitution as sub-text. Fun for all.
There were packs of feds in masks - instigating instigating instigating.
Feds and Antifa - THEY WEAR MASKS.
And then the vice-principals office, along with the rich dad of the sophmore class slut, came and ordered a mom shot and killed, and a bunch of grandmas in never-ending detention...
Dillon lost me at, "And then the really popular quarterback may...have egged it on." Bullshit.
"and they were going to stop it from happening."
I've always found this assertion absurd. It is part and parcel of the notion that Jan 6 was a threat to "Our Democracy". You have to be really delusional to think that you were going to overturn the government with a protest. There might have been a few in the crowd who thought this, there are always a few nuts, but the majority? I strongly doubt it.
"Anderson Cooper says "They tried to hunt down Mike Pence, shouting "Hang Mike Pence". "
If Pierre Poilievre is not too busy trying to set Canada on the right path, someone should get him to come down for a visit (he can bring an apple if he likes) with Mr. Cooper and ask him ""They tried"? Who are they? Who shouted "Hang Mike Pence"?"
Anderson Cooper is a reporter- err... journalist, is he not? Certainly, he's investigated the issue and knows the names of those responsible, right?
Like a mullet -- civil war in the front, party in the back.
It was post-modern and hard to reduce to a single narrative, all the more so given all the FBI sources and agents involved.
The days when out-of-control high school or college parties got a pass from the criminal justice system are over and have been for a while!
This was very funny and I appreciate your sharing Tim Dillon with us.
Happy birthday, Ann!
and they were going to stop it from happening
If they wanted to stop it from happening, they would've stopped it from happening. Period.
They didn't.
A big high school party, with abrogating the constitution as sub-text. Fun for all.
Are people like you ever going to stop wetting your pants over this bullshit?
