Explanations:
1. Wait until Saturday. Protesting is a weekend activity.
2. Trump antagonists really believe in democracy and calmly accept the results of the election.
3. No one wants to pretend to like Kamala Harris anymore.

“Where are all the protests of the election?”
TickTock
4. They're waiting until the inauguration.
5. There may be a spray paint shortage. Modern-day Leftists feel unsatisfied if they don't damage, mar or deface someone else's property, or at the least inconvenience others because ... The Resistance.
There was a great tweet on Wednesday: "We demoralized them so bad they didn't even burn the cities last night." Maybe the Dems are saving it all up for Inauguration Day.
Either this: 3. No one wants to pretend to like Kamala Harris anymore.
Or they’re still too busy crying, petting support animals and coloring.
They've been completely exposed. All their fraud and lies. Totally naked. Everyone sees it. And it's not pretty.
I'll go with Wilbur's #4. The protest machinery will take a bit of time to bring back to working order. Gotta dig those pussy hats out of the back of the closet.
I'd say your #1 is close to the mark as well. Protesting was the only Regime approved way to socialize in 2020 so its what people did.
The Ds are not united the way they were in 2020. They haven’t been since they couped out Joe.
Remember the long delay Tuesday. Night into Friday morning, everywhere but Fox? I think that was filled by very blunt conversations among the Ds, that boiled down to “yeah, we’re not doing all that again for you, sweetie.”
And “all that” includes D-supported protests.
They had 4 years to see the backlash against pro-crime policies. It’s doubtful they would have the stomach for a riot strategy even if the party was united. And they definitely are not united right now.
So the word went out to the usual protest organizers that they’re on their own.

I guess the revolutionary youngsters grew up a bit over the last 8 years, whereby they realized they were played. It's too bad that Andy Ngo had to suffer. ANTIFA = useful fascist idiots owned by Bill Gates, Bloomberg, and Soros.

"There may be a spray paint shortage."
I did see a short video of one guy in London spraying that orange dust that looks like paint on the sign for the U.S. Embassy.
Yes, the action text my leftie doppelgänger received says the Zoom call was yesterday. In person this weekend…
Good point, and one that was bouncing in my head, too. Trump did way better among protest age voters (18-29) this year than in either 2016 or 2020.
Number 3. Nobody likes Harris, she is the most unpopular VP ever. Why the dems thought she was a good candidate is beyond comprehension.
Spray paint prices have gone up! They have to wait for the protest underwriters to provide supplies.
"Street Art" spray paint is now an open commercial item. Per the San Francisco ideal, vandalism and incurring clean-up costs on others is no longer seen as a negative in many urban / blue areas. I stumbled across this culture when looking for plain old Rust-Oleum...

They are still reeling from the loss. Besides, protests take time to organize. Bricks need to be strategically placed.
#2 - Comedy Gold.
Nothing to gain for the people who fund them. Tim Walz doesn't get the same joy out of burning Minneapolis anymore, etc, etc. It's like the second term of W. After he won the second election, people accepted it.
Whoever has been paying for protesters has rationally decided it would do Trump far more good than harm in light of the EC margin, the popular vote win, and the other R wins. Protesting aka rioting would only give Trump more support for his agenda, and help with his positioning of the D party and its supporters as lawless, power-hungry, etc.
Even if really and purely peaceful protesting (which is not their brand or history), that would only make them look like sore losers who are truly anti-democracy.
Gotta be #3.
6. Waiting for Walz to get back to Minnesota so he can smell the burning tires.
Trump won the popular vote, so it's harder to claim that the election was stolen.
We did it Joe!
Come January, there will be protests. Though by that time, most people will realize they really didn't care for Kamala that much anyway and why bother?
Those that are there to protest will be ginned up by the most radical groups left out there. So...it could be fun to watch as it unfolds.
Democrats thought they could win the "anyone but Trump" vote, first with Biden, and then when he crashed and burned, they figured the same strategy could work with Harris. The entire campaign was "Trump is Hitler." They knew Kamala was a terrible candidate but didn't think it mattered as long as they could stoke up the Trump hate.

They were in a bind and given recent history believed they could con enough of the voters to believe anything...
Trump's win wasn't all that shocking this time. Last time it was a complete shock that Trump won.
15 million Democrats died in the pandemic, apparently. It's kind of weird though. Dying has never stopped them from voting before.
They need time to coordinate coverage with their co-conspirators in the corporate media.
4. Nobody is feeling the vibe yet.
#3 made me laugh --- because it's true! It's True! It's True! (Said in Madeline Kahn's Blazing Saddles voice)
Trump probably won the popular vote because California Republicans finally got their act together under the new rules the Democrats wrote. Stay at home R's in a seemingly hopeless state like CA cost the R candidate many, many popular votes. Also Trump campaigning in New York State boosted the R vote there, even in a losing cause. Winning the popular vote is not nothing.
Still waiting for the House results. I think it Republicans will have at least 220. It is sad that we are incapable of counting any faster than this.
You mean, "It's twoo! It's twoo!"
I was drinking coffee when I read #2. Fortunately we are still weeks away from replacing our everyday vinyl table cloth on the table in our breakfast nook with a Christmas table cloth.
He gonna go all “ILL DEUCE” on they asses!
Maybe protest are not spontaneous? Perhaps they never were?
One advantage of November elections is that it is too cold for the activists to gather and protest.
There was a 15-minute protest in downtown Chicago, outside of Trump's hotel. Usual mix of young feminists, middle-aged anarchists, and assorted PLO supporters.
4. Wait until DC businesses take down their plywood.
So IOW, shitbirds.
After the treatment the January 6th protesters got? I don't think the Democrats will get too crazy. Their only way to vent will be on Twitter (which is kind of hilarious) since the rest of social media is heavily censored. But definitely very little property damage or violence because that sort of behavior will get you a prison sentence as an insurrectionist.
"

I wouldn't bet on it. Antifa is well-organized, almost to the point of being paramilitary. Not going to reveal my source, but they have minders scattered through their crowds, identifying and chasing out anyone who they see as less than fully on board, and have internal security with high-end walkie talkies down to an art. Probably well-funded by Soros Bucks. I think they're biding their time.
The fierce urgency of then. To win in 2020 Democrats had to apply a lot of energy and passion -- and for what? Biden's pathetic presidency? So now they're exhausted and burned out.
Hardline leftists though, are professional protestors. Maybe, they're just stunned now and something is brewing. Maybe something for January in Washington DC. Something we can call an "insurrection" when it happens.
In 1988, I had been a Democrat all my life. My mother claimed she had had me baptized a Democrat. I voted for Jimmy Carter (TWICE, may God forgive me) and against Ronald Reagan (TWICE, again. God, I'm sorry, don't smite me). And in 1988 I voted dutifully for Mike Dukakis. But even back then, when Dukakis lost, I was secretly glad.
I think there's a lot of that going on here.
I remember reading predictions about how the Dem convention in Chicago was going to be "lit," that it would make the 1968 riots look like a tea party. I agreed that, given the party divisions over Gaza, transgenders, and race division, that the riots would indeed occur.
Then, crickets. No riots, no disorder.
Again, this week, after the forces of racism, sexism, homophobia, and bigotry won the election, I expected for sure now there would be political violence.
Now I understand that there is nothing grassroots in leftism- it's all under control, all choreographed. Better that was, I guess.
Everybody is too tired this time. Besides they did all that in 2016/17 and nobody likes to go to reruns of old protests.
#2 is right out.
I think they're stunned by how big a loss they had. No one expected Trump to win the popular vote and the senate and the house. The loss was so complete that it left them dumbfounded. Unfortunately, since they don't ever learn, it won't last.
The scope of Trump's victory took the wind out of the sails this week- most people expected any Trump win to be a narrow one with a popular vote loss for Trump. As we get closer to the inauguration, however, I expect protest/riot activity to pick up. If the Democrats somehow gain the majority in the House, the Raskin plan is back on the table though I doubt he can get a majority to go along with it even then- Raskin really needed Harris to win the popular vote.
I'm going with #3. What a relief it must be, no longer pretending Harris is wonderful.
The riots really aren't emotional responses - they're very calculated. Trump's clear victory renders this a poor time to set loose the dogs, but there will be a provocation soon enough.
The riots will start in earnest around January 17, and will be localized to the DC area. Some smaller ones will occur on the left coast, NYC, and Chicago. Those may be worse, as the Antifa leadership will mostly be in DC.
Agree. Ideally for the Democrats Harris would also have won MI, WI, AZ, and NV since Trump flipped PA and GA. That would have likely given her the popular vote win and up to 268 EVs, close enough that pressure on some Electors might have resulted in flipping the EC to her, or at least forcing it to the House.
This is the correct answer.
I don’t worry as much about pussy hats, as I do about AntiFA black ballistic shields and helmets. They haven’t gone anywhere. The FBI knows who they all are, but everyone appears to be under orders to keep things under control.
not this year.
I got the impression they were more upset by the cops coming out than by the protesters or vandalism. There were police! In a helicopter!
1. There will be riots in DC and maybe a couple other places during inauguration.
2. There will be rioting when the appropriate trigger event occurs. I expect it to be around a deportation activity in multiple cities, where antifa can summon its stormtroopers to defend some deportees. That will then be media-ized to create the needed crisis narrative and provide cover for the engagement of the antifa stormtroopers and sympathetic Democrat simps and party followers.
3. I wouldn't put it past the Dems to try an ACTUAL insurrection during Congressional certification, adopting and applying the truth that the Jan 6 riot was just a riot, but calling their own insurrection a riot. This is the same logic switch by which Dems convince themselves the GOP are fascist while the Dems' - whose own policies resemble no one's so much as Mussolini's and Stalin's - are not totalitarian.
Yep. #3 it is.
The Left Big Donors stopped funding these miscreants.
The Left Big Donors stopped funding these miscreants.
Friend’s daughter is in town this weekend. We offered her one of our units, but she won’t stay in a Trump property (despite voting for him, and wearing MAGA hats on video conference calls with her M&A firm), because of 5he tie she rented a penthouse and ended up in a subpar room, at tat Chicago Trump property.
I should add that here in Las Vegas, we got a dedicated LVMPD unit, parked out front of the hotel 24/7, starting Monday. Security had told me to expect it. Likely would be gone now, if Trump had lost. He didn’t, so we expect it for up to the next 4 years. It does seem to keep the “residentially challenged” under control a bit better.
Not almost to the point Of being paramilitary. They are the Dems’ paramilitary shock troops. And, that was, indeed, their history - they were the Soviet’s paramilitary shock troops, in their fight with Nazi Brown Shirts, in the streets of Germany, for control of German socialism. As they do today, they wore black as essentially their uniform. With the fall of the Soviet Union, their allegiance has switched to the ChiComs, which is obvious with their red Hammer and Sickle painted on their ballistic shields and helmets (along with their traditional AntiFA emblem).
Ever wonder why the left calls their opponents “Nazis” or “Fascists”? It’s an admission that they are Marxists (and, now, Maoists), dating from when AntiFA Black Shirts battled Nazi Brown Shirts, 90+ years ago, in the streets of the biggest cities in Germany.
Somebody has to support their street thugs. Buy their matching ballistic shields and helmets. Bus them around the country. Feed them. Give them spending money.
Mayors and governors have obviously put out the word that they are going to protect their phoney baloney jobs given the shifts even in Dem dominated precincts.
There were anti-American, anti-Fox News, anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian mini riots outside the NYPost newsroom, and several rioters breached the building and took over the lobby. It wasn’t widely reported, but it was reported early today in the Daily Mail. The protesters chanted about the destruction of Israel and opening the Mexican border. The action is called Globalize the Intifada. As with Stop Cop City, they are publishing and quickly taking down lists of targets. So this is just gearing up. This time I’d expect a lot more attacks on targeted companies and even companies that do business with them. It’s an old/new model started up again in Atlanta. Like Extinction Rebellion spiking trees and blowing up forestry equipment.
Their beard is the Quakers and of course AFSC.
There were riots at the Chicago DNC. They just weren’t widely reported. I was there. The Palis don’t care who won the election, and they’re in charge of the Left now. They don’t want ANTIFA involved.
...and they were all professional protestors.
I dunno, maybe the Professional Progressive Protesting class got a sobering wakeup call at about 2 am, Wednesday morning, when they first started to realize just how many people have been patient with them for the past 8 years, and started to think about having that many people suddenly decide they were mad enough now, to stop being patient.
The Dems blew all the riot money trying to get Harris elected.
I'll just throw this in: I saw a tweet on X today about how Qatar has told the Hamas oligarchs there that they will have to leave soon and should start planning their exit. There's going to be a new sheriff in town in 73 days, and the winds of change are blowing. That will be felt domestically as well as in other lands.
On our way back from a visit in Tennessee, near James Madison University in Virginia, I saw a semi with a white trailer that had only one identifying feature - a big red A in a circle, the anarchists' fave. Not sure it was related to protests or just an edgy brand symbol. It made me wonder.
