Decorating your front lawn for Halloween in an election year.

I laughed but somebody else might be truly horrified (and by what, exactly?):

That’s a good one…unless that’s in Texas some leftie Karen will rip that one up ASAP…

New Orleans, of course. It's always time to dress up, decorate the place, and throw a party! The Terror Swifts are great, but I'd like to see all the rest of the skeleton crew.

They're aborting babies, cannibalizing fetuses, and holding mocking witch trials.

Nearly every family on our block that has kids decorates their yard for Halloween. Last year across the street there were skeletons climbing out of the ground, and down the street they have already inflated their 12 foot tall Frankenstein monster. Our kids moved out decades ago and have kids of their own so our decoration is fairly modest — a skeleton on our front porch’s wooden love seat that has a hat and a harmonica. It’s battery operated and noise activated so on Halloween we turn it so that children yelling “Trick or Treat” cause it to play its harmonica for a minute or so.

The New Orleans home is known throughout the city for their elaborate decorations for Halloween and Mardi Gras- I recognized it immediately. There's an article in today's New Orleans Times-Picayune about it: https://www.nola.com/entertainment_life/taylor_swift/taylor-swift-stars-new-orleans-halloween-skeleton-display/article_80815dea-7f72-11ef-ab7b-939a0e8c585d.html#tncms-source=featured-2

As a former student of Texas A&M, I was gratified extremely last year when I happened upon skeletal forearms with fist bones giving a thumbs up "Gig 'Em" symbol. Several will be planted in my front yard for Halloween this year. And I mailed my daughter, a Univeristy of Texas graduate, a miniature skeletal steer sold by the local HEB grocery story. The horns are removable. IYKYK.
