Signs are thin on the ground in East Louisville. No Trump that I've seen but a few Harris. Mostly very local races (no KY senate race this cycle and our House district is solid Dem) and for/against two proposed Constitutional amendments. More Trump signs as I drive south of the city, although the number of Harris signs rises accordingly.
Martin Mull actually has a song called, This Takes the Cake.
"I've played gigs from Philadelphia to Spokane. I've opened shows for Lawrence Welk and Tiny Tim. And I admit I've hit my bourbon and cocaine When I find out that the concert's in a gym.
But I guess I'll keep on picking 'Cuz it's all that I know how. If I took another job I'd be a fake. But sometimes I feel like quitting And you've made that sometime now. I swear I've played some shitholes, boy, But this takes the cake..."
I was looking for Trump signs in Madison today while driving. Nary a one. LOTS of Kamala signs. We have one close by with Kamala looking heavenward, like that Jesus image. Seriously, I think that's what it's trying to portray.
I like to think that all the signless houses are Trump voters.
In my neighborhood there are many many Harris signs - one F*ck Trump sign, zero Trump/Vance signs and many Tammy Baldwin signs. One of the Baldwin signs is from 2012, which means the home owner just puts the sign back in the garage and brings it out every 6 years. While I would love to put a Trump sign out - I simply fly the flag every once and awhile.
I'm in the affluent western Philly suburbs (super white, super educated) where it is 10-1 Harris signs, but I'd say mostly its people with no signs. As you move to more working class and multicultural areas around Philly those numbers flip and its probably 10 or 15 to 1 Trump signs with more overall signs per house.
Here in JD's hometown, there are a few Harris signs, but not many. One thing I've noticed is that where there is a Harris sign, there also will be a Sherrod Brown, some judges, and a Yes on Issue 1 which is a Dem project. Trump yards may have some No on Issue 1, but not many Bernie Moreno signs. But the Trump signs are yuge.
There was a huuuuuge (get it!) Trump display a week or so ago in all places but Union Square in downtown San Francisco! Don't know how long it lasted but I was astonished. Also saw a pick-up rattle by our house the weekend before last with its flatbed filled with Trump flags. Things keep getting stranger every day in this town.
I like to think that going so boldly against the local sentiment requires a profound sense of irony. A certain sort of person looks at the way of the world and says, "Not me."
Wikipedia says, "In some philosophical contexts, however, [irony] takes on a larger significance as an entire way of life."
Well the guy is bold and not shy as to his beliefs.. kind of reminds me of JOHN HANCOCK! Hancock wrote his name big so King George III could not miss it.
In my neighborhood, there's a Harris/Walz sign that reads "Balls To The Walz." Haven't been able to get a picture due to heavy traffic on a 2-lane road. To me, it would have been clever to have "Balz To The Walz."
I still say we live in upside down world. This is delusional, but what do you expect from a guy who coaxed a nanny to get an abortion when he cheated on his 1st wife, then afterwards slapped a girlfriend in front of a crowd at Cannes?? He really must hate himself, when he closes his eyes to what his side his (including his wife) are doing to "his" people.
TheEndOfEverything @EternalEnglish · Follow Do they actually hear these voices in their heads or is it just the age-old tactic of repeating the lie often enough for it become 'the truth'? Doug Emhoff @DouglasEmhoff We all heard the antisemitic and racist speeches at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally yesterday.
It’s appalling to hear those slurs. But nothing will stop me from living fearlessly as a Jew. Nothing will stop Kamala and me from speaking out.
Hello, neighbor! I've seen a few Harris signs in Hurstbourne (the same ones that had BLM signs lat time around), Anchorage, and Pewee Valley. I haven't noticed many Trump signs - maybe a few out towards Oldham County.
Lots of Trump signs over here in Ozaukee County - I’m guessing it’s Trump by 60/40. Normally it’s the other way around because 1) Democrats are known to cause property damage to those who dare express opinions counter to theirs, 2) Conservatives are just that - they generally frown on displaying their political sentiments on their sleeves (lawns), and 3) it seems that there is some requirement for members of the school unions to litter their lawns with political signs as early as possible. I swear, if there is a spring election for school librarian, every single household with a teacher in it has a minimum of 5 signs out it their yard. I see a correlation between this behavior and the willingness to attend protests and try to shout down the other side - might (or numbers) make right.
TRUMP pulled his own October surprise by having a vile speaker at his rally. And yes who started the whole GARBAGE thing? TRUMP "America is like a GARBAGE CAN" and then thinks if he subtly BRINGS IN a scumbag speaker to say PUERTO RICO is GARBAGE AFTER TRUMP HOLDING BACK FUNDING AFTER HURRICANE MARIA,SAYING WOW YOU DID GOOD ONLY 16 DEAD,WHEN THE other hurricane killed thousands isn't that great,,here's some paper towels for ya. ID RATHER SEND HELP TO TEXAS Now trump is quickly shifting to his :if I don't win its rigged< if I do win I am a genius. And his trumpeters all yell YIPPEE!! WTF happened to all the mesmerized? Soon this perp will be sent packing in overwhelming fashion,it wont even be close . Were you kids watching the rally and are you teaching them how to be more vile then the next person? Hate is taught behavior is has to be learned,,,good model last few weeks especially,,Lord we have seen worse but this "time period" ranks up there with the worst of them.TOns of Mark Robinsons sticking up the place..Its why Jesus came,,not for the good ones but........just days left
Was in New Hampshire this weekend. There are always tons of signs up there, mostly little ones along the side of the road. I didn't pay much attention, but I think they were mostly for local races. I think I noticed one large Harris sign. There were probably some Trump signs as well, but I wasn't really looking.
Here in the St. Paul suburbs, signs run about 15:1 Harris. One thing I've also noticed is that Trump signs, when seen, are posted close to the houses and some had security cameras trained on them as well.
In my true-blue suburb of Portland, Oregon I wouldn't expect to see to many Trump signs, people don't want to have their houses egged or cars keyed. However, I have only seen three houses with Harris signs out front. While I expect the voters of Portland to make sure Harris wins the state, this shows a lack of enthusiasm for her.
Lots of huge Trump-Vance signs all around our midsized burg One Trump-Kennedy sign from months back between wide spots in the back road to Hanover. One ginormous Harris-Walz sign at a stately home here in town, plus a "Patriots for Bob Casey" sing to match the one for Harris-Walz. Other than that, a few bitsy yard signs near the University and at a couple of homes at the edge of town near us. Not seeing much enthusiasm for Kamala around here, but we're in the hinterlands.
The two and only US House signs in my neighborhood are for an independent. It appears to be a safe Repub seat. I don't even know the Dem candidate's name--none of the hard core houses has a sign for him/her. But we are in our third Cong. district in three elections.
Around here there are no Trump or Harris signs, just flag vs no flag. The flags outnumber no flags about 8 to 2, which is pretty much the same as the political demographics.
My YouTube feed had a clip of Japanese supporters of Trump parading in the streets of Osaka behind a giant bust of him playing one of his speeches. True they cannot vote in our election, but it shows he has fans overseas.
I'm in the Madison 'burbs and all are Harris signs here, except for my neighbor's flag and my flag. And the ones on the Veterans' Memorial. But I have been surprised by the number of Trump etc signs on the way into town. Went to the RFK Tulsi talk last night and was surprised by the demographics in attendance. Young and old, mostly, and lots of different colors.
There are more signs out now, but mostly for local and state races, and party affiliations are rarely mentioned. T/V and H/W signs are still pretty rare.
Having mastered submarine dynamics, large language models, and toilet paper supply chain logistics, I would like to offer my analysis of the early voting data... I would also like to add my recently acquired expertise in vaccinations, ivermectin, and seed oils if you’ll allow it. ~ MAGA 😳

Mission-tile roof on a brick Cape Cod House. Bold

Where's a sign for Hovde?

Has it been observed yet that their campaign could be abreviated as T.V. 2024 and Trump is a showman tv personality star?

Now THAT is stunning and brave
Gutsy.

How many have been stolen, crushed, defaced, or set ablaze? That's what democracy looks like in Madison, isn't it?
The assholes seem to let them be. Then again not to hard to own and carry a firearm in WI either. Nice...

I saw a pant load Trump signs in Salem and Lebanon Oregon last week and like two Harris signs. I’m not getting my hopes up.
That could be some of Meade's finest work.

The neighbor has a teeny tiny Baldwin sign in a feeble attempt to counteract the Trump power.
I thought that was a realtor's sign. Thanks for clarifying.
I live about 30 min from Madison and some homes here have over the top Kamala Kollages on their yard. Save your daughters!, etc.
But you have to figure Trump voters don't want their property molested.
According to Reddit, no one is supporting trump, no signs for Trump/Vance and all the Harris/Walz ones are being stolen or defaced.
Well the guy is bold and not shy as to his beliefs.. kind of reminds me of JOHN HANCOCK! Hancock wrote his name big so King George III could not miss it.
Stand tall!
In Charlotte, a few weeks ago I saw zero Harris signs and only a few Trump signs.
Over the last week, I've noticed a lot more Harris signs.
Interestingly, none of them are in people's yards.
Astroturf, I think.
In my neighborhood, there's a Harris/Walz sign that reads "Balls To The Walz." Haven't been able to get a picture due to heavy traffic on a 2-lane road. To me, it would have been clever to have "Balz To The Walz."
Lotta state/Uni worker drones commuting.

Home, singular, of the brave.
Is that your house, Professor? (Hey, a guy can dream, right?) I pictured it differently.

Around my town in Central PA, Trump signs outnumber Harris signs.
But, more houses have Harris signs.
I guess the Trumpies have something to prove.

Mustache Man polls a couple % lower than Trump.
He has had decidedly negative ads. I might dislike Trump but he seems happy at times, unlike Hovde who seems like a humor less boss man.
It's a metal roof.

btw - NO one laughed at the crappy comedian. Who is either a terrible comedian or a plant.

Come out to rural Dane County and beyond. Many Trump signs!
It’s the MAGA Hats that infuriate Trump Derangement sufferers. It’s some how so personal. Like a Christian giving a personal testimony.
