Why talk to the press? Maybe to let the public know that Nuzzi’s “stories” about RFK Jr. weren’t unbiased and to read her reporting with that knowledge. Also RFK seems to have had loose lips about the relationship and the pics, which would eventually become public anyway. So perhaps Haskell was trying to save the reputation of New York magazine which may have been more important to him and many others, than the reputation of RFK or the “help” he could give Trump.
Or this was always an operation to take Kennedy out at the appropriate time such as when early voting starts- unfortunately for the Democrats Kennedy was already out of the race.

O let’s not do this. Suicide is tragic. In the final analysis, the decision to commit suicide is solely the responsibility of the person who kills themselves. In this woman’s case she had attempted to kill herself before she met RFK. And in my personal experience that’s a very sad pattern. Close relatives, friends blame themselves. Then they have to cope with the innuendo by people who know nothing about the circumstances. To anyone contemplating suicide, please don’t do it. It’s devastating - especially to the family.

Oh please. If you think that some people suicide isn’t spurred on by events in their lives then you must live in lala land. It is the responsibility of the person committing suicide, but they aren’t in their right minds (duh). I was a a psych nurse for quite a few years during my 35 year career as a nurse. I learned about some very tragic circumstances that were a DIRECT cause of someone taking their lives. Remember the person who commits suicide isn’t thinking clearly. Maybe you ought to be a bit more sensitive to those who are suffering depression and have suicidal ideologies.
I’m sensitive to anyone suffering from depression but I’m much more sensitive to the people who are left behind when someone kills themselves. In the case of RFK’s wife, she left children behind. I’m always going to feel more for their pain than for hers.

How about some empathy for RFK, whose father was assassinated when he was a kid and who then had to cope with an alcoholic mother as well as an alcoholic uncle. He was 9 when his uncle was assassinated and 14 when his father suffered the same fate. Let’s all have empathy for everybody and also say people are responsible for their own actions. RFK was not responsible for his wife’s suicide and you have no idea what was in her head when she killed herself.

I think it's safe to say that Nuzzi wasn't the one who leaked this story. It doesn't make her look good, and, leaking the story, makes her look so much worse. I understand that Haskell had to suspend her, but if he's the one that publicized the reason for her suspension, he's more of a cad than Kennedy. It's measured in microns, but I have more sympathy for Nuzzi than for any of the other actors in this drama. As Kennedy sex scandals go, this is small potatoes.......I haven't heard any scandals regarding Walz's wife. Dropping "Junior" is a personal choice according to the sources I checked. When you have a famous name, or are the "junior" whose father was famous, it can be just a preference, or to avoid confusion: "JFK vs JFK Jr"; also "Sammy Davis, Sr vs Sammy Davis, Jr."
When it stops being his name. Martin Luther King, Junior, is still "Junior" despite also having been dead since 1968.
